Southwest Airlines New Amarillo to Austin Flight Takes Off Today

AMARILLO, Texas -- Amarillo travelers today experienced the start of new options featuring the state capital as Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV), in conjunction with Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, celebrated the start of Southwest Airlines' new daily non-stop service to Austin.

The new expanded service to Austin Bergstrom International Airport will operate on Sundays through Mondays departing Amarillo at 6:10 a.m. and arriving in Austin at 7:30 a.m. The return flight departs Austin at 7:55 p.m. and arrives in Amarillo at 9:20 p.m. On Saturdays, the flight will depart Amarillo at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 12:25 p.m. The return flight departs Austin at 12:25 p.m. and arrives in Amarillo at 1:50 p.m.

"The strong relationship between Southwest Airlines and the City of Amarillo goes back decades as Southwest has long been a major part of air travel for the entire Texas Panhandle," said Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson. Southwest Airlines Adds Service to Denver: Expanded Service at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport to Begin in June

AMARILLO, Texas -- Amarillo travelers will soon have more options that feature the Mile-High City, Denver, Colorado as Southwest Airlines, in conjunction with Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, has announced new non-stop service to Denver International Airport (DEN).

The new expanded service to Denver begins June 5, 2022 to the Denver International Airport. On Sundays through Fridays, the Denver flight will depart Amarillo at 1:55 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 2:25 p.m. The return flight will depart Denver at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Amarillo at 2:25 p.m.

"Every Panhandle resident and Panhandle visitor will appreciate this new Denver flight," said Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson. "Southwest Airlines has provided remarkable customer service to Panhandle travelers for years, and Southwest's commitment to our growth is strong. Southwest Airlines Adds Daily Austin Flight: Expanded Service at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport to Begin in March

AMARILLO, Texas -- Amarillo travelers will soon have extra options that feature the state capital as Southwest Airlines, in conjunction with Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, has announced new daily non-stop service to Austin.

The new expanded service to Austin begins March 10, 2022 to Austin Bergstrom International Airport. On Sundays through Mondays, the Austin flight will depart Amarillo at 6:10 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 7:30 a.m. The return flight will depart Austin at 7:55 p.m. and arrive in Amarillo at 9:20 p.m. On Saturdays, the flight will depart Amarillo at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 12:23 p.m. The return flight will depart Austin at 12:25 p.m. and arrive in Amarillo at 1:50 p.m.

In addition to the new Austin non-stop service, Southwest Airlines is adding a fourth daily non-stop flight from Amarillo to Dallas Love Field beginning March 10, 2022. This additional flight returns Southwest's number of non-stops to Dallas Love Field to pre-pandemic levels.
