"Whether you're a novice or a scratch golfer, you're always dreaming for your next round to be your best round," says Dave Globig, CEO for Aviv Clinics-U.S. "As people age, it's not only the physical demands - needing to rest and recover between games - that hold us back, but it's losing laser focus that truly lessens your ability. The Aviv Golf Performance Program is a comprehensive approach to transform your game."

As part of the 12-week Aviv Medical Program, golfers will receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy, personalized cognitive and fitness training, a nutrition plan and golf coaching. At its core, the treatment has scientifically proved to trigger the body's natural regeneration capabilities (*note 2).

"We take a systematic approach - harmonizing an in-depth medical assessment with professional golf analysis - to create an individualized plan and healthy aging trajectory," says Aaron Tribby, M.S., head of physiology for Aviv Clinics-U.S. "Working with the medical team and professional golf instructors, we see golfers increase shot accuracy, improve swing efficiency and recovery time shorten - the lasting benefits give people an edge on and off the golf course."

Boomer Brains Declining Faster Than Earlier Generations, Despite Higher Wealth, Education

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. -- Despite U.S. Baby Boomers having the longest life expectancy in history [1], their brains are aging at a faster rate than previous generations, according to a recent Ohio State University nationwide study [2]. For Boomers, the first generation to show cognition regression, research indicates that wealth and education have no equitable bearings on brain function. Currently ranging from ages 62 to 72 (born 1948-1959) and primed for a lengthy and enriching retirement, the feared complexities of living an increasingly longer life - but with a quickly declining brain - is evitable for those able and willing to invest in advanced treatments, such as the Aviv Medical Program.

Living better, longer

Spawning the longevity movement are societal concerns associated with a population in which older people outnumber the young - a historical first, projected for 2025 in the U.S., when seniors (65 million) will surpass children age 13 and under (58 million). Recognizing global impacts of an aging population, the United Nations General Assembly has declared 2021-2030 the Decade of Healthy Ageing, an initiative dedicated to improving the lives of older people, their families and the communities in which they live.

Progress abounds and none too soon. Bioscience researchers are developing promising medical treatment options to give people longer lasting cognitive function enabling optimum health later in life. Just last month (February 2021), a Bloomberg Moonshot episode, the network's global news streaming program, dedicated an entire episode to medical advancements that are already in practice and scientifically-proven to treat the aging process - ultimately, circumventing age-related diseases - as explained by leading researchers from Harvard Medical School and Aviv Scientific.

Of those discussed, the Aviv Medical Program, a proprietary protocol concentrated in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), is attracting affluent, active Boomers from all over the world. Results from a landmark study, published in the peer-review journal Aging [3], indicate that upon completing the three-month program participant bodies changed at cellular level - equivalent to 25 years earlier - among healthy adults age 64 or older. This proven treatment is readily available and presents opportunity to improve and restore cognitive function such as memory, attention, speed of information processing and more.

"Until now, biologically preserving and restoring healthy brain function was unavailable. Today, there's finally an individualized brain health program that actually assesses and changes the physiology of the brain," said Mohammed Elamir, M.D., board-certified physician at Aviv Clinics. "This will enable people to take control of the trajectory of their health span. Protecting your independence, mobility, vitality and personality can be by choice - not by chance."

For Boomers embarking on the third age - ready to redefine retirement with energy, mobility, independence and healthy brain performance, the Aviv Medical Program is a substantial investment cost in improving quality of life today and maintaining it for years to come. Outside of Israel, the treatment is only available at the Aviv Clinics medical center located in Central Florida.

30,000-Sq-Ft Medical Center Opens in FL Corridor – First Research-Driven Medical Program Dedicated to Treating the Aging Process, Improving Brain Performance

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. -- World leader in improving brain performance, Aviv Clinics, has opened its state-of-the-art, 30,000-square-foot medical facility - the first treatment center of its kind in North America. The practice, located at The Center for Advanced Healthcare in The Villages, Florida, is dedicated to Aviv's scientifically evidenced medical program concentrated in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Over the past six months - despite the COVID-19 economic environment - Aviv Clinics has successfully recruited more than 30 highly-skilled medical professionals for high-earning positions (*note 1) in Central Florida.

As part of a national search, accomplished clinicians from across the U.S. including physicians and neuropsycologists have relocated to the region to help lead the Aviv Medical Program. Additionally, local talents, including dietitians, paramedics, physical therapists and a range of licensed nurses, have joined the Aviv team.

"Although the timing did not allow for a splashy grand opening, our soft opening did allow our team to support the community in a meaningful way through the administration of COVID-19 tests [as part of The Villages' municipality-wide effort]," said David Globig, CEO of Aviv Clinics-Florida. "Connecting with our new neighbors under these circumstances is far from conventional, but incredibly meaningful. We all have a greater appreciation and value for protecting the health of others and ourselves."

Aviv Clinics first found its way to Central Florida in 2019 when it was selected for the Florida High Tech Corridor's Matching Grant Research Program through the University of South Florida. As part of the program goals, the state connects innovative industry groups with high caliber academic centers to infuse innovations, encourage economic growth and attract high-paying jobs to Florida's central corridor. Since funding was awarded, the Aviv Medical Program - which scientifically proven to improve brain performance in areas such as memory, attention, processing speed, focus and physical performance such as power, energy, stamina and enhance the quality of life in aging adults - has garnered global praise for peer-reviewed research and study findings.

Carla VandeWeerd, Ph.D., served as USF's principal investigator for the Florida High Tech Corridor-supported study and, in her current role as the Director of the University of Florida's Clinical and Translational Science Institute Research Program, she remains involved with Aviv through collaborative research projects at The Villages Health - indicating the partnership, which began as part of Florida's High Tech Corridor program, is yielding lasting benefits.

"Having first worked with the Aviv team in 2019, it's been extraordinary to see their significant contribution and commitment - both globally and locally - to learning in the area of brain health and to serving needs of older adults," said Carla VandeWeerd, Ph.D., Director of the University of Florida's Clinical and Translational Science Institute Research Program. "From publishing scientific medical research, to hosting physician-led educational seminars for the community, the medical team at Aviv Clinics is dedicated to helping people live a fulfilling and healthy life, at any age."

Notably, in November 2020, Aviv Clinics' proprietary treatment protocol - developed using the latest research in the fields of aging, neuroscience, physiology and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) - was published in the peer-review journal Aging. The landmark study, part of a comprehensive research program targeting aging as a reversible disease, is a world-first in proving biological age reversal. Outside of Israel, the Aviv Medical Program is only available in The Villages, FL.

"The application of oxygen to improve performance is a field of research that has only recently received attention," explained Elliot Sussman, M.D., Chairman of The Villages Health. "We are confident that members of The Villages community stand to benefit significantly from our approach to improving both physical and brain performance."

Aviv Clinics is now open and accepting new clients looking to improve and maintain cognitive acuity and physical performance. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (352) 488-2848 or visit aviv-clinics.com.
