Final TeethXpress guided full-arch, immediate-load dental implant course of 2021 to be held in Las Vegas

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- TeethXpress will hold its final full-arch, immediate-load course taught from a guided treatment perspective Sept. 25-26, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Led by noted periodontist Curry H. Leavitt, DMD, MS, of Red Rock Periodontics & Implantology, the course will take place over two days at the Red Rock Institute implant training center in Las Vegas. Attendees will participate in hands-on training and view a live surgery, all while earning 16 CE credits.

Dr. Leavitt will present new materials and cover the new nSequence guide design.

"It's been such a touch-and-go year with COVID-19, but the feedback from doctors who attended our hands-on guided course in January was so positive, we had to make room for another date this year," said Dr. Leavitt. "Since then, I've added new material that covers several immediate, fixed-hybrid implant cases, including the new nSequence guide design. I can hardly wait to share these experiences with colleagues."

Remaining space is limited. Register today to reserve your seat.

Not only will doctors receive an opportunity to participate in a comprehensive hands-on, didactic guided surgery training session, they'll also have an opportunity to watch Dr. Leavitt perform a live surgery and immediate, fixed-hybrid prosthetic conversion using a CT-based, stackable guide. The live surgery will involve a partially edentulous maxillary arch. Four to six dental implants and multi-unit abutments will be placed using the BioHorizons Tapered Pro system.

January 2021 course attendees were outwardly complementary of pearls they picked up on the proper digital treatment planning.

"Dr. Leavitt's lecture and presentation were truly phenomenal," said Dr. Wladimir Gedeon, OMS. "The way he masters digital workflow is brilliant."

As one of the nation's most experienced implant laboratory technicians, Jeff Carlson, CDT, Senior nSequence Implant Specialist, will be present to support this digital learning experience.

"Supporting Dr. Leavitt and the TeethXpress team in training doctors on this advanced, guided, implant protocol is quite humbling," said Carlson. "Dr. Leavitt is so down to earth and has a way of engaging doctors that makes this course an exceptional learning experience. Before you know it, doctors are not only learning from his lectures, but they're picking up invaluable insights from each other."

Proceed(r) Finance will present their treatment financing resources patients can use to make dental implants more affordable. There aren't many financial institutions in this space who can offer up to $70,000 in unsecured treatment financing to patients in need of large dollar dental procedures, such as "all-on-4" dental implant therapy.

"Anyone attending this September TeethXpress course should expect to be in for a great learning experience," said Dr. Leavitt. "I'm excited just thinking about it!"

There may be no better time to visit Las Vegas than in the fall, according to U.S. News & World Report. Travel expenses are lower than the summer and winter months and high temperatures begin to drop into the low 70s.

Charleston Mom Receives Brand New Smile for Mother’s Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Just in time for Mother's Day, Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery has helped one Charleston-area woman smile again. Due to years of decay, 31-year old Chelsea Carter was referred to the practice by her dentist, Dr. Kent Griffin, as a prime candidate for guided full-arch dental implants.

As a child, Chelsea wasn't taught about oral hygiene; in fact, she didn't have a toothbrush. The result was a smile Chelsea made a point to cover with her hand when she laughed. She became used to looking away or grinning without showing teeth.

"It definitely brought my confidence down a lot," said Chelsea. "I don't feel beautiful as a mother, I don't feel beautiful as a wife."

Enter Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery and Dr. Edward R. Strauss, who was approached by Chelsea's dentist. Chelsea met Dr. Strauss at their Summerville-Ingleside location for a preliminary meeting during which he told her the good news: The dental-implant procedure would be entirely free of charge.

"Chelsea's story of being a young wife and mother moved us and we wanted to help restore her smile and her confidence," said Edward R. Strauss, DMD, MD.

"We use cutting-edge digital technology to eliminate the guesswork in the full-arch implant procedure, so we knew she would have an absolutely perfect result."

Dr. Strauss utilized the GM system by Neodent, a new generation of implant systems that boasts high-level engineering. The surgery went seamlessly, and when Chelsea woke up, she had a brand new smile.

"Now I can look at people and be confident...it definitely boosted my self-esteem a lot," Chelsea said. "They turned me into a confident, strong woman that I knew I was always meant to be for my kids."

Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery is committed to pro bono cases and has remained open during the COVID-19 crisis to treat emergent dental cases. With six Lowcountry-area locations, they are open and ready to serve the people of Charleston with both in-person and virtual appointments.

EON Clinics Announces New Clinic Location in Oakbrook Terrace

CHICAGO, Ill. -- EON Clinics Founder and President Rajan Sharma, DDS, announces the opening of a new all-in-one dental implant center in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. The facility, located at One Parkview Plaza, 17W110 22nd Street, Suite 150, is replacing the Westmont location and will also serve as the company's new corporate headquarters.

EON Clinics offers exceptional dental implant treatment in the convenience of one setting, delivered by a highly specialized team of oral surgeons, prosthodontists, clinicians, lab technicians, and support staff with extensive expertise. "At EON Clinics, we ensure that every person who walks through our doors can make an informed decision about the best treatment option to fit their unique needs, whether they're missing one, several, or all their teeth," said Dr. Sharma.

As is customary at all EON Clinics locations, clients who call to schedule a visit at the Oakbrook Terrace office will receive a complimentary, no-obligation consultation from a prosthodontist and treatment coordinator who will assist them through the journey, including help with financial or other treatment matters that may arise. During the free consultation, information is gathered about the prospective patient's overall health and specific dental needs. Clinic staff then review dental implant treatment options with the individual, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each.

The consultation also includes a 3-D CT scan to evaluate the condition of the individual's teeth, soft tissue, nerve pathways, and bone. In a single scan, this sophisticated imaging technology quickly provides 3-D images that help guide accurate placement of dental implants.

All-On-4 Dental Implants Provide a Unique Solution for Missing Teeth:

All-On-4 dental implants are a highly effective solution for people in need of full upper and/or lower restorations, with a success rate of nearly 98%. Instead of using bone grafting and six to eight implants for each full arch of teeth, the All-On-4 approach requires the placement of only four implants and rarely necessitates grafting. After the initial consultation and prosthodontic exam, patients receive a full-set of non-removable teeth in just one appointment.

Traditional Dental Implants:

Dental implants are ideal for patients missing several teeth or a single tooth. During an outpatient procedure, a small hole is drilled in the patient's jawbone and a titanium screw is carefully placed into the bone. The strong and durable titanium metal "fuses" with the patient's jawbone in a process called osseointegration. The gum is placed over the implant so it can heal, which takes about 3 to 6 months. After sufficient healing, a second surgery is performed to fit the connector into the top of the implant. The natural-looking porcelain crown is then fixed to the connector. Approximately 500,000 people undergo dental implant procedures each year with a national success rate of 93-95%. EON Clinics' success rate exceeds 98%, due to the extensive expertise of the entire team including oral surgeons and prosthodontists, in-house lab, and sophisticated technology, all located in a one-stop facility.

About EON Clinics:

Dr. Rajan Sharma founded family-operated and owned EON Clinics in 2007 as University Dental Implant Facility, changing the name in 2010. Currently, services focused solely on state-of-the-art dental implants are provided at three locations in suburban Chicago, with two additional facilities in Munster, Indiana and Waukesha, Wisconsin.
