Mortgage Professional America Magazine Names Natalie Arshakian to List of Elite Women For 2022

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Mortgage Capital Trading (MCT®), a leading mortgage hedge advisory and secondary marketing software firm, announced today that Natalie Arshakian has been selected to Mortgage Professional America (MPA) magazine's list of Elite Women in Mortgage for 2022. The annual awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate 67 successful women who are taking on gender inequality in leadership by continuously challenging societal expectations. These women don't let unconscious biases prevent them from breaking the mold as they rewrite the rules and work to make the mortgage industry more inclusive for all people, no matter their gender identity.

Natalie Arshakian, Senior Director of LockCentral at MCT, is an exceptional female leader working in a role that beneficially impacts the mortgage industry. Arshakian started as an entry-level analyst at MCT, and within five years, she was promoted six times to her current position. She has over seven years of experience working in financial services and holds a foundational B.A in Political Science from UCLA. Arshakian's expertise lies in the areas of locking, pricing, data analysis, team leadership, mentoring, pipeline building, internal process creation, risk management and auditing.

Arshakian leads and mentors a team of 35 analysts who provide services to over 65 clients that lock over $7 billion a month. Arshakian's Lock Desk employee training program, commonly called Secondary Boot Camp, has provided a foundation of knowledge that has led to numerous growth opportunities within the secondary mortgage market. Her training and mentorship have enabled dozens of analysts to move from the Lock Desk into Trading, MSR, Programming, and Sales divisions at MCT. She has been instrumental in building the largest outsourced lock desk service provider in the nation.

MPA's Elite Women program is now in its sixth year. Nominators were asked to describe the nominee's standout professional achievements over the past 12 months, along with their contributions to diversity and inclusion in the industry and how they've given back through volunteer roles and charity work. After a thorough review of all the nominations, the MPA team narrowed down the list to the final 67 Elite Women who have made their mark on the industry.

Two ACES Quality Management executives selected by MPA Magazine for its annual Elite Women Awards program

DENVER, Colo. -- ACES Quality Management® (ACES), the leading provider of enterprise quality management and control software for the financial services industry, announced Amanda Phillips, executive vice president of compliance, and Sharon Reichhardt, executive vice president of operations, have been selected by Mortgage Professional America (MPA) in its 2021 Elite Women Awards program.

Phillips serves as ACES' in-house subject matter expert. She plays a key role in ACES' ability to provide banks with better control over their loan quality, expanding banks' capacity for auditing their organization by increasing audit speeds by more than 50% and improving revenue retention by providing better visibility across multiple lines of business. In less than a year, Phillips launched four major compliance initiatives aimed at improving the quality of existing and new ACES products to better serve clients, expanded the compliance team and established new procedures and workflows to maintain the integrity of ACES' compliance products and efficiency in product updates and releases.

Reichhardt's role at ACES centers on solving problems and finding ways for lender clients to use technology to do better, safer, more efficient business. As a natural teacher, Reichhardt doesn't merely solve problems, but rather provides everyone with a marketable skill set for reducing risk and preventing loss. Under Reichhardt's direction, the Client Success team uses a direct, hands-on approach focused on listening to clients, observing their work activities and understanding their unique footprint and target goals. They guide implementations and perform professional service engagements, maintaining strong bi-directional communication that assures each client is maximizing usage of the ACES platform.

"A key ingredient to a successful organization is amazing people; Amanda and Sharon are a prime example of this. They each bring a unique level of expertise to the ACES team," said Trevor Gauthier, CEO of ACES. "They are respected professionals, regularly speaking on behalf of ACES and contributors within and outside of ACES. We're all extremely proud of Amanda and Sharon for their achievements."

Prior to joining ACES, Phillips served as counsel with Ballard Spahr, LLP, where her responsibilities included advising clients on the federal and state regulatory requirements governing mortgage lending, fintech, mortgage documents, business processes and practices. Before her time at Ballard Spahr, she spent six years as in-house counsel and executive vice president of legal and regulatory compliance for Accenture Mortgage Cadence and an additional five years as senior vice president and director of compliance for a national mortgage lender.

Reichhardt has created virtually every position she has held by identifying unmet needs, developing a repeatable process that successfully solves those needs and creating the infrastructure that could scale with as opportunities and operations grew. Prior to joining ACES, Reichhardt was a strategic reporting and technology manager at EverBank.

Mortgage Professional America Honors Lori Johnson of DocMagic with 2021 Elite Women in Mortgage Award

TORRANCE, Calif. -- DocMagic, Inc., the premier provider of fully-compliant loan document preparation, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, announced that its director of client services, Lori Johnson, has received the 2021 Elite Women in Mortgage award from Mortgage Professional America (MPA).

Now in its fifth year, MPA's Elite Women award celebrates the outstanding achievements of women that work in the mortgage industry. MPA created the award to recognize the exceptional work of women whose efforts and contributions are paving the way for future generations. The award largely looks back at recent accomplishments that are having a positive effect on the mortgage industry.

"Being recognized alongside other accomplished females that are doing exceptional things for the industry is a huge honor for me," stated Johnson. "For years, the outstanding team I work with at DocMagic has been moving mountains to help lenders, settlement providers, investors, and other relevant parties automate manual workflows and remove paper from antiquated processes. I thank the judges at MPA for their research and the hard work of my entire team for making this accolade a reality."

MPA's judges were impressed with Lori's roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style that places the company and customer first, making excellence in service her primary focus. She works passionately and tirelessly to ensure that complex and precision-based eClosing and digital mortgage technology implementations are executed flawlessly, delivering a level of customer satisfaction that lenders and partners rave about.

In particular, Lori is credited with helping DocMagic's lender clients achieve a huge uptick in growth - via eClosing technology. First, the remote implementation model she oversaw was wildly successful in helping lenders clients to go live without disruption to operations during and after the pandemic.

Second, she successfully transitioned her entire team virtually overnight to a work-from-home (WFH) environment where they were able to execute tasks just as effectively as when they were at DocMagic's headquarters.

Of note is that Lori's efforts helped DocMagic land on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list, with a 67 percent three-year growth rate from 2017 to 2020. More and more lenders in the mortgage industry are now seeing the immense value of automating the closing process from start to finish. This has helped tremendously with adoption of this component of the digital mortgage workflow --- fully paperless closings.

DocMagic will close 2021 out with another banner year in sales, new client implementations, solution enhancements, seamless integrations, and more. Company officials say 2022 will be another strong year for technology innovation in the mortgage industry.
