Donald Eugene Lowe Ramps up his Presidential Campaign for 2020 as the Right Choice

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Four years ago, Donald Eugene Lowe launched his presidential campaign and ran for president in 2016. Today, he continues to be dismayed by the direction of the country and maintains his position that he is the right choice for president of the United States in 2020.

"A hard working rice farmer, Annel Mira, who spends much of his time caring for his family just endorsed me," Lowe says. "Why? Because he knows that I have his best interests at heart. When people get to know more about me and what I stand for, they too will begin to understand that my main desire is to 'keep America free.'"

Mira says that Lowe will do his best for the people of America.

"I am number one to support him," Mira says. "God Bless America."

Lowe says if the American people put their trust in him he will lower taxes to 12 percent, institute a fair healthcare system, ensure all U.S. citizens have access to higher education, reduce illegal immigration and more.

"It's time for better leadership," he says. "It's time for Donald Eugene Lowe for president."

He plans to run on the Republican Party ticket, and continues to seek endorsements for 2020 and promises not to give up the fight.

To help publicize his campaign, T-shirts are for sale for Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians. Each bears the message, "Time for new leadership. Giving you a voice. Donald Eugene Lowe with Annel Mira. Freedom 2020."

Rejected GOP candidate pushes onwards to the Electoral College, Donald Eugene Lowe Presidential Candidate

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Donald Eugene Lowe started working on his presidential campaign in 2013. To date, he has spent less than $20,000 and he's not about to give up now. In fact, he says he's just getting started.

"It's possible," Lowe says. "There are many voters who do not like Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump and that puts me in a very good position. According to my calculations, I have a 52 percent chance of winning."

How is this possible? Lowe explains that he is skipping the general election and instead focusing on winning the Electoral College.

"I'm working to beat these candidates at their own game," he says.

The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. A state's entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for senators.

And, there's no constitutional provision or Federal law that requires Electors to vote according to the results of the popular vote in their states. Some states, however, require Electors to cast their votes according to the popular vote.

So, while it's rare for Electors to disregard the popular vote by casting their electoral vote for someone other than their party's candidate, it's not impossible.

After being turned down by the Republican Party for his request for a brokered convention like they used to have for candidates who could not afford a large campaign, Lowe continued to forge ahead.

"While the Republican Party made it impossible for me to run in the general election, they can't eliminate me from the Electoral College," Lowe says. "And, after campaigning at more than 700 locations and traveling more than 400,000 miles, I'm not about to give up now. I might be the only candidate running for the Electoral College and skipping the general election and that's okay. It's America after all - it's a place where dreams come true."
