Shipping Now – The Rypos Diesel Particulate Filter for Carrier X4 models 7300 and 7500

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., a developer, and manufacturer of advanced exhaust filtration systems that reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines, is pleased to announce the first shipments of their Rypos DPF for Carrier X4 series Transport Refrigeration Units. A fleet located in Central California received the first shipment of filters in January and production is ramping up to meet an increase in early sales.

The X4 is the most cost-effective way to meet CARB's Level 3+ PM reduction standards. The active DPF monitors time and backpressure and automatically initiates regeneration requiring no driver intervention while ensuring that the filter is clean independent of exhaust temperature.

The X4 DPF is a retrofit solution, with a simple replacement of the existing exhaust system. After installation of the X4 DPF, the TRUs are CARB compliant for life.

* The filter is CARB verified for the Carrier X4 7300 and the X4 7500 models

* The filter and controls are the same as the current Carrier filters

* Installation includes the simple replacement of the OEM frame bracket with Rypos DPF mounting bracket

* The DPF assembly has a static (fixed) rain cap filter system designed for installation efficiency

Rypos ULETRU Filters Achieve In-Use Compliance Goals for Thermo King and Carrier Transportation Refrigeration Units

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of advanced, exhaust filtration systems that reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines is pleased to announce the successful completion of the On-Road In-Use Compliance required by the California Air Resources Board for their entire Ultra Low Emission Transportation Refrigeration Unit active diesel particulate filter (DPF) product line.

The DPF systems, which are verified to the Level 3+ reduction standard by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and have been operated extensively within the refrigerated trailer fleets in California, have recently been retested after years of field use by an independent lab and found to be fully emission compliant.

The Rypos Active DPF is a filter that traps and burns soot reducing particulate matter emissions by more than 85 percent. Unlike other particulate filter technologies, the Rypos system is self-monitoring and completely autonomous ensuring that the filter is continuously clean and able to accept the full exhaust load of the engine in any operating conditions and at any time.

"This important milestone validates the systems original design premise, that it would be an end-of-life compliance solution for the Tier IV interim and less than 25 horsepower engines powering the majority of the installed base," said Peter Bransfield, RYPOS' CEO.

RYPOS releases CARB Verified Diesel Particulate Filter for Carrier X4 models 7300 and 7500

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., developer, and manufacturer of advanced exhaust filtration systems that reduce particulate matter (PM) from diesel engines, is pleased to announce the release of an active, self-cleaning Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) for Carrier X4 models 7300 and 7500, 2013 and newer.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations require that engines < 25 HP must meet T4F standards seven years after the engine Model Year (MY 2020 and beyond). Since their release in 2013 the Carrier X4 models have been powered by engines rated < 25hp. To continue to operate legally in the State of California, the 2013 models must be CARB compliant by December 31, 2020.

The Rypos DPF for Carrier X4 series TRU's is a the most cost-effective way to meet CARB's Level 3+ PM reduction standards. The Rypos Active DPF monitors time and back pressure and automatically initiates regeneration requiring no driver intervention while ensuring that the filter is clean independent of exhaust temperature.

The X4 DPF is designed for efficient retrofit, with a simple replacement of the existing exhaust system. Once installed, the Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) are CARB compliant for life. Rypos has an installed base of over 12,000 filters on a variety of Thermo King and Carrier TRU's. The filters are utilized by large national refrigerated fleets as well as small owner-operators and supported by a trained nationwide dealer network.

RYPOS Expands Product Coverage to Refrigerated Container Transport

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., developer and manufacturer of advanced, exhaust filtration systems that reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines, have shipped their 600th clip-on generator set filter system to a large global integrated container shipment company. These retrofit exhaust filtration kits for diesel powered portable generator sets bring older engines into full California Air Resources Board emission compliance.

The filter systems, which are verified to the Level 3+ reduction standard by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), are now operational across a significant portion of the generator fleet.

The RYPOS Clip-On Active DPF is a filter that traps and burns soot reducing particulate matter emissions by more than 85 percent. Designed for ease of installation, this new product provides owners of model year 2015 and older generator units a low cost, compliant to end of equipment life option for making their gensets CARB compliant. Following an extensive field test program, the RYPOS Clip-On Active DPF was granted approval under Executive Order DE-11-008-01.

"This product is a natural extension our other product offering in the transport category space. The high quality of the product and the economic and operating benefits it provides the fleet operators of mid-life generator sets, make this product an attractive option when compared to costly unit replacement," said Peter Bransfield, RYPOS' CEO.

New Stanford Hospital First to Install OSP Seismic Rated Diesel Particulate Filters

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., developer and manufacturer of advanced, exhaust filtration systems that reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines, and Stanford Medicine, a leader in pioneering research, creative teaching protocols and effective clinical therapies, are pleased to announce the first installation and approval of an OSP special seismic certification pre-approved diesel particulate filter for the new emergency power station at New Stanford Hospital medical center.

The filter systems, which are verified to the Level 3+ reduction standard by the California Air Resources Board, are now operational providing the hospital environment with clean, reliable and seismic tolerant emission control.

The Rypos Active DPF is a filter that traps and burns soot reducing particulate matter emissions by more than 85 percent. Unlike other particulate filter technologies, the Rypos system is self-monitoring and completely autonomous ensuring that the filter is continuously clean and able to accept the full exhaust load of the emergency generator at any time. At the request of Stanford Medicine and other critical medical facility operators, Rypos pursued and obtained the OSP special seismic certification in an effort to streamline the approval and installation process for these mission critical systems.

"People often forget that the diesel particulate filter is capable of degrading or preventing the supply of emergency back-up power should it malfunction in a seismic event. By testing the Rypos DPF to the highest seismic levels, we are able to provide New Stanford Hospital and our other hospital customers with peace of mind that their filters will remain fully operational in the event of an emergency," said Peter Bransfield, RYPOS' CEO.

Bert Hurlbut, Vice President of New Stanford Hospital, commented; "We are pleased to be the first to put the Rypos seismically certified filter into service. Stanford Health Care's commitment to sustainability and our common interest with Rypos in advancing clean air technology have resulted in a product that is ideally suited to our needs."
