Vibrant Med Spa Expands Wellness Center

CRESTWOOD, Ky. -- Vibrant Med Spa has expanded its facilities to accommodate demand for its Club Wellness, a key component of the company's offerings. In addition, Vibrant Med Spa has added two new aesthetic treatments, CoolPeel and Subnovii.

Club Wellness was created to help people break old, bad habits through medically supervised wellness services. Spearheaded by owner Erica Chowning, APRN, FNP-C, and Wellness Associate Jenna Lee, RN, the most important aspects of the Club Wellness program are life coaching and personalized support.

As part of Club Wellness, each patient receives an individual assessment, which is used to tailor a plan specifically in line with their personal aspirations, whether they be weight loss, improved energy, or building strength and muscle. Individual programs can include:

* Providing the right supplements

* Personalized meal prep education

* Focused exercise demonstrations

* Metabolism-boosting injections.

"We don't just hand you a set of wellness tools and send you on your way," noted Chowning. "We partner with you and create a nurturing environment that lets you thrive and make measurable progress toward your health and aesthetic goals."

Chowning said the two new aesthetic treatments added at Vibrant Med Spa, CoolPeel and Subnovii, give patients some exciting new options for reducing skin imperfections.

CoolPeel was developed to help combat imperfections from aging, sun damage, acne, or other skin concerns, and reveal smoother, younger-looking skin. It promotes new collagen and elastin formation by safely and comfortably delivering the benefits of a traditional CO2 laser resurfacing treatment by targeting only the superficial layer of skin. This means less discomfort and downtime.

The Tetra CoolPeel device delivers targeted laser energy to skin in a more controlled way. Instead of treating the entire desired area in one session, CoolPeel Louisville treats a certain percentage of the area, leaving small patches of undamaged skin in between the treated parts. These untreated areas of skin actually assist in boosting recovery and lead to more rapid healing. Over a series of CoolPeel sessions (typically about four treatments spaced one month apart), skin is gradually resurfaced to reveal more even-toned, younger-looking results.

Subnovii is a sophisticated skin resurfacing device that uses plasma technology to effectively promote fibroblast activity in the skin. This process stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, which are the building blocks of healthy, youthful-looking skin. Plasma skin resurfacing relies on a stream of ionized gas to resurface skin's tissues, ultimately resulting in a tightening of the epidermis. Subnovii is the first FDA-cleared handheld plasma device that uses low-frequency energy along with a patented wavelength and power combination to address multiple signs of aging.

Louisville med spa offers its patients a non-surgical facelift option with V-YOUth

CRESTWOOD, Ky. -- Vibrant Med, a medical aesthetics practice near Louisville, Kentucky, recently introduced a new option for adults to obtain a more youthful-looking face without traditional facelift surgery thanks to the introduction of the V-YOUth injectable facelift.

Owner Erica Chowning, APRN, FNP-C, administers this treatment for people who aren't yet ready for more invasive surgical procedures. She said the new method was specifically developed to offer a whole new route to a more youthful appearance.

"Younger women tend to have a characteristically triangular, or V-shaped face in which much of the volume lies in the cheeks and subtly angles downward toward the jawline," Chowning explained. "But as we age, the forces of time and gravity eventually cause that youthful shape to become inverted with more volume accumulating in the lower region of the face."

Chowning developed the V-YOUth injectable facelift to help her patients regain that youthful shape by restoring lost volume in the face with strategically placed dermal fillers. These precisely placed fillers might also be used in combination with neurotoxin injections to smooth wrinkles and contour facial features without the need for prolonged recovery time, Chowning said.

"There might be some bruising at injection sites, although that risk is generally much less than with surgical procedures," she said. "Bruising is more likely to occur around the eyes if fillers are injected there due to the delicacy of the skin in that area. Patients may also experience some mild pain, swelling, or redness after the procedure, but these usually diminish pretty quickly. Most people get back to their normal activities the same day of their procedure."

And when it's all said and done, Chowning said the majority of V-YOUth recipients have sung the praises of this minimally invasive procedure thus far.

"Most patients notice immediate results following their injections with more volume in the areas that were lacking beforehand and they are thrilled," Chowning said. "Depending on the fillers used, results can last anywhere from six months up to two years. Down the road, we may need to do a few additional injections to maintain best results."

Vibrant Med is a popular destination for facial treatments, injectable fillers and neurotoxins such as Botox, Xeomin, and Restylane, body contouring with CoolSculpting and CoolTone, microneedling, laser treatments, wellness through weight management, and much more.

Med spa adds medically supervised weight loss to its list of services in Kentucky

CRESTWOOD, Ky. -- A medical aesthetics practice near Louisville, Kentucky is branching out beyond its usual cosmetic treatments to incorporate a new program geared toward weight loss and weight management. Vibrant Med Spa recently announced the addition of its new Wellness Through Weight Management Program to aid clients in reaching their weight loss goals.

Led by owner Erica Chowning, APRN, FNP-C, and Ashley Wilhoite, BSN, RN, the new program features private, individualized assessments and tailored plans to help people implement consistent, healthier habits into their daily lives.

Chowning and Wilhoite said the most important aspect of the program is the life-coaching element to help people stay on track.

"We don't just hand you the tools and send you on your way," Chowning said. "We essentially partner with you and offer a warm, nurturing environment in which you're bound to thrive."

Wilhoite, who was recently hired by Chowning to oversee the program, brings more than 15 years of nursing experience and both professional and personal knowledge of fitness and nutrition. She is also currently enrolled in a graduate program at Northern Kentucky University and will soon graduate as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Wilhoite said her knowledge of mental health will be a valuable tool in helping clients navigate themselves through the often overwhelming task of healthy weight loss.

"A lot of the nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices are mental," she said. "Every person, man or woman, likes to feel attractive. When people have the assistance of someone to keep them up to speed and to keep them accountable, just someone to be there with them and work as a team to get it done, I truly think it's a great benefit."

Emphasis will also be placed on diet, exercise, supplements, medications, and injections geared toward boosting the body's metabolic effect. All these elements, Chowning and Wilhoite say, will be specifically tailored to fit each client's individual needs. The whole process will begin with a 7-day detox program and include regular weigh-ins and coaching sessions.

"Getting people to understand and know that it's a process, it's a journey, it's a lifestyle change, and it's just not going to be this fast, quick fix is very important," Wilhoite said. "Because those usually end in disappointment. It really is about healthy eating and being active. And we're going to help them every step of the way."
