Salvatore “Toto” Catugno is a six-time San Remo Music Festival winner. Finishing first in 1980 with the song Sob noi (Only us), Cotugno continued his victory by taking second place in 1984 with the song Serenata (Nights), in 1987 with the song Figli (Sons), in 1988 with the song Emozioni (Emotions), in 1989 with the song Le mamme (The mammas), in 1990 with Ray Charles with the song Gli amori (The lovers) and in 2005 with Annalisa Minetti with the song Come noi nessuno al mundo (No one else in the world like us).Cotungo took first place at the Festival of Sanremo in 1983 with his song “L’taliano”, getting all the votes. His song was translated and performed by various artists in different languages, selling millions of records and making Cotungo famous in countries such as Israel, Russia and Korea.
