LAS VEGAS, NV (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Athlon Interactive Adventures (www.athlongames.com) launched The Corporate Team Builder today, offering a solution for small to medium sized businesses that need team building, but can’t afford the high costs of traditional options.

The Corporate Team Builder game offers an exciting and challenging team building experience. Over a three-week period, employees are suddenly transformed into teams of undercover agents receiving daily missions from “headquarters” via email and interacting with each other in real life. Players conduct undercover surveillance, discover hidden clues, play office pranks, raise money for charity, and maneuver for support from both management and coworkers. Chris Di Diego, vice president of CCA Inc vouches, “Everyone in our office had smiles on their faces and couldn’t wait to arrive at work to see what the next twist or turn would hold.”

Unlike other team building games, The Corporate Team Builder does not require an off-site location. And, at only $20 per player, it is considerably more cost-effective than other services, charging up to $5,000 and possibly resulting in lost productivity. Most missions take only minutes a day to perform, as the game runs in the background of the workday, never requiring an interruption to normal business activities. Anywhere from 8 to 40 employees can play, and the games only require that at least one employee per team have computer and Internet access either at home or at work in order to obtain missions.

The Corporate Team Builder also goes a long way to build work relationships, thinking outside-of-the-box, morale, and interoffice communication. As a result, it can greatly help improve employee retention and productivity. This is critical for any company, but particularly smaller ones in competitive industries, such as retail, sales and finance, where keeping talented, productive employees is critical to the bottom-line.

As a past small restaurant owner and manager himself, Athlon’s founder, Tim Mollenkopf, recognized the need for business team building activities that didn’t remove participants from their work environment, but rather promoted relationships and habits within it. “I knew that happy employees are productive employees, so I really needed and wanted to offer my staff some type of team building activity, but none of the options were practical and cost-effective for my type of business. My employees would have loved a day off to go golfing or do some other activity, but a restaurant just can’t close down all day.”
