Facebook Application, My Military Experience, enables United States Military Personnel and U.S. Veterans to locate and communicate with military colleagues

FORT BRAGG, N.C., April 2 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Electronic Allies LLC, operators of the military career advice community SmartSoldier.com, today announced the availability of the My Military Experience Facebook application. The application, launched for final beta testing last week, allows Facebook users with military experience to display details of their military service within a seamlessly integrated box on their Facebook profile.

Users can add their branch, duty status and the time spent at specific duty stations. In addition, the application enables users to search for other members of the U.S. Armed Services using the same criteria.

“Facebook is a powerful platform for locating and connecting with people,” said U.S. Army Veteran and SmartSoldier.com Founder William Fernandez. “Building a truly useful application for members of the U.S. Armed Forces on this platform is directly in line with our primary goal- to continually provide resources to help our servicemen and women make informed choices throughout their military careers.”

Locating former military friends and colleagues is only one of the creator’s intentions. Similar to Fernandez’s military career advice community, users are advised to connect and communicate with other individuals in similar situations or even those in places or positions they are considering.

The My Military Experience Facebook application is free and readily available to Facebook users serving in or connected to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp or Coast Guard. Individuals can add the application by searching for “Military Experience” in the Facebook application directory, or by visiting apps.facebook.com/military-experience.
