A R T I C L E:

ADF Solutions Inc., the leading provider of forensic triage tools for computers and peripherals, announced today that the company has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security to develop a universal triage field kit that will aid law enforcement officers in the immediate extraction of information and evidence from computers and other devices involved in active criminal or terrorist investigations.

Law enforcement officers and forensic examiners face a constant challenge to stay ahead of the latest technologies encountered every day during their investigations. In addition, the amount of digital data of these investigations has grown exponentially over the past few years, resulting in overwhelming forensic backlogs.

ADF Solutions has been providing law enforcement agencies with tools to improve digital investigations since 2005. The tools are used by both technical and nontechnical users. They have had proven success at allowing investigators to quickly identify conclusive digital evidence to pursue their investigations without unnecessary delays, resulting in record conviction times worldwide. The tools have also been integrated in forensic triage programs by forensic examiners to successfully reduce forensic backlogs with minimal risk.

“ADF Solutions was selected for this project because we are the only company with experience in building forensic triage tools for nontechnical users and have an extensive user base worldwide,” said J.J. Wallia, CEO and co-founder of ADF Solutions. “Our plan is to leverage our existing investigator tools and develop the equivalent of a PC Breathalyzer for first responders to use on computers. We are looking forward to working with the Department of Homeland Security on this project.”

The new tool will be named Triage-Responder(R) to complement the current Triage-Examiner(R), Triage-Investigator(R), Triage-G2(R), and Triage-Lab(R) solutions offered by the company. Triage-Responder is currently scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2011.
