KnowledgeAdvisors, the world’s largest provider of learning and talent measurement solutions, today proudly congratulates Tamar Elkeles, Vice President of Qualcomm Learning and Development Center, who was named 2010 CLO of the Year by Chief Learning magazine at the Fall 2010 Chief Learning Symposium.

A panel of six judges, consisting of past award recipients, recognized Elkeles as the 2010 CLO of the Year for her work in building the Qualcomm Learning Center into a source of innovation and development for the wireless technology company’s 16,000 employees worldwide.

Tamar Elkeles has been profiled and recognized widely as an energetic and influential leader. She has been recognized as one of San Diego’s “Top Influentials” in the San Diego Daily Transcript and one of the “Fast50 Champions of Innovation” by Fast Company magazine.

Under Elkeles’ vision and leadership, Qualcomm’s Learning Center was created to provide technical training opportunities as well as leadership development to grow the capabilities and knowledge of employees worldwide in a rapidly growing and changing high-technology era. Qualcomm has also been recognized consistently in the Training Top 100 through Tamar’s leadership, including recognition as a “Best in Class” for telecommunications.

“Having built the Qualcomm Learning Center from a one-person show to an innovative strategic resource and leading example for learning and development organizations, Tamar’s achievement couldn’t be better deserved. It is an honor to acknowledge that Qualcomm joins Caterpillar, DAU and Lowe’s who have also been KnowledgeAdvisors’ clients with CLO of the Year Winners in the past,” said Kent Barnett, Chief Executive Officer, KnowledgeAdvisors.
