Offering three different basket choices to cater to all tastes and budgets, the baskets range in price from $60 – $2,000. The service of an Andaz Picnic Host can be purchased for $150. A host will seek the best possible picnic position and prepare a blanket and the contents of the basket before the guest’s arrival.
Guests can call the host to find the spot when they arrive. Andaz 5th Avenue is located near some of New York City’s best parks, such as Bryant Park, Central Park and Madison Square Park, allowing out of towners to enjoy New York City like a local. Using an Andaz Picnic Host to hold your spot during the June 20th launch of the Bryant Park Screenings will be especially useful.
The picnic baskets are packed with an array of delicacies and treats from the hotel’s restaurant, the shop. Baskets can be purchased for two to four people and are fully equipped with plates and cutlery. The $60 Sandwich Basket includes a choice of prosciutto, schnitzel or tuna, along with iced tea and / or lemonade and fresh seasonally cut fruit.
Upgrade for a more extravagant picnic by purchasing the Champagne Basket, ranging from $130 – $950. Ostera caviar, blinis strawberries and other seasonal fruits are served alongside a bottle of Champagne for $280 – $950.
Andaz 5th Avenue also presents arguably the world’s most expensive and lavish picnic basket at $2,000. This premium selection includes indulgences such as an array of cheeses, breads, seasonal fruits and jams, as well as the choice of either a locally sourced or imported wine.
