A R T I C L E:

Move For Hunger, a nationwide hunger relief organization that works with the relocation industry, today announces its partnership with Atlas Van Lines, one of the nation’s top moving companies. To celebrate joining Move For Hunger as an Epic Partner, Atlas Headquarters held a local food drive on Feb. 1, which resulted in over 3,000-pounds of food donations to Tri-State Food Bank, located in Evansville, Indiana.

To date, Atlas and its agents have contributed more than 32,273 pounds of non-perishable food to local food banks across the U.S. That is enough to provide for over 24,800 meals for the less fortunate.

Atlas and more than 70 Atlas agents are amongst the more than 398 moving companies that help create one of the nation’s largest, year-round service programs with Move For Hunger. As part of the partnership, Atlas and its agents are building awareness of hunger in the United States and encouraging household move customers to donate unused food items to local food banks upon embarking on a household move.

Atlas’ kick-off food drive provided meals to families and individuals in 33 counties across Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. Additionally, 4 Atlas agents celebrated the start of the partnership with food drives starting on Feb. 1 to benefit their local food bank.

“We are thrilled to kick off the new year with the support of Atlas Van Lines, they have already shown an incredible passion for our cause and commitment to fighting hunger,” says Adam Lowy, executive director of Move For Hunger. “With the help of socially responsible companies like Atlas, we can truly make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.”
