A R T I C L E:
Edupoint Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) solutions provider to the national K-12 market, has been awarded a contract to implement its Synergy Education Platform for the Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) after an extensive evaluation and RFP process.
One of the largest school districts in Virginia and perennial recipient of recognition for excellence in its educational programs and capabilities, CCPS is looked to by smaller districts in the state seeking guidance for their educational programs and technology.
In that regard, CCPS’s Synergy purchase agreement includes an option for all Virginia public schools to license the complete Synergy solution suite under its agreement.
Chesterfield County Public Schools is the fifth largest school district in Virginia with 62 K-12 schools serving more than 59,000 students. In looking to replace its obsolete Student Information System, CCPS had to address integration issues with dozens of ancillary enterprise applications that share its student data in addition to replacing and advancing that system’s basic functionality. The new system would have to be Web-based and include capabilities for teacher-student-parent collaboration and electronic grade reporting.
Synergy Education Platform exceeded every expectation – and more. The core system – Synergy(R) Student Information System – provides the market’s most innovative SIS functionality in a manner that allows a district to customize the solution to fit its unique needs. The Synergy ParentVUE(TM) and StudentVUE(TM) modules establish a robust web portal through which teachers can communicate class assignments, provide study materials, and securely share progress reports and term grades. The TeacherVUE(TM) Gradebook empowers teachers to excel and students to achieve with classroom and curriculum management that organizes and informs instruction.
Other Synergy modules licensed by Chesterfield added more value. Synergy(R) Special Education (SE) provides industry-leading management of special education programs and Individual Education Plans. This web-based solution delivers instant access to the complete student case file and in-process documents to every team member from anywhere, maintaining student confidentiality at the highest level of security and complying with all state and federal regulations and reporting requirements. Together the Synergy SIS and Synergy SE solutions create the most powerful education management platform available in the market today.
Chesterfield County Public Schools will implement the Synergy solutions in a phased approach based on their preferred implementation timeline. To learn more about Synergy Education Platform and the CCPS-negotiated License Agreement by other Virginia school districts, visit www.edupoint.com.
