New Dance Single From New Artist Cristelle Is Rocking The Clubs

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Dance floors fill up when “Breakdown” is played, so now a new artist is being welcomed to the club scene. Her name is Cristelle and her recording, dancing and modeling careers are moving forward at 180BPM. Okay, that’s “beats per minute” for those not in the EDM scene. (Okay, that’s Electronic Dance Music.)

“With her ‘Breakdown’ single, Cristelle is immediately seen as an artist who appeals to people who want to surrender their bodies to a great dance beat and hypnotic vocals,” notes her producer, Peter Roberts.

“In this song, as in a lot of the songs we’re currently recording, you can feel what it’s like to live life to the fullest,” says Cristelle, the 23-year-old artist. “Another aspect of this song is that it proves dreams can come true, that you can go out and live your dream,” she adds.

The “Breakdown” single celebrates the feeling of youth, love, exuberance, excitement, and good times. DJs are being serviced with the song, as are remixers, music supervisors, and music editors.

Cristelle began performing about the time she learned to walk. “Fortunately, my family was musical and artistic,” she states, “so I was always surrounded by singers, actors, and artists. In fact, during the sixties, my mom sang with a girl group in Liverpool, England.” She was able to win a spot in Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts and spent one season with Disney On Ice performing in “High School Musical.”

A music video for “Breakdown” is now on YouTube and the single is available for sale on iTunes and Amazon. Her first album, “Rush,” will be released later this year by BDM Records. As with the single, the producer is Peter Roberts, who has had more than 250 of his songs recorded by artists in almost every genre. He is a multiple award winning songwriter/producer and 5-time Grammy Award nominee.

Multi-talented and multi-faceted, Cristelle is a spirited new voice for several generations of music lovers. Visit her website at http://www.cristellemusic.com for more information on Cristelle, her music, and links to her social network pages.

Songwriter’s Round at Douglas Corner Cafe Offers Hit Songs From Jane Bach, Sandra Piller, Becky Hobbs, and Nik & Sam

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Attracting Nashville’s finest songwriters, the Douglas Corner Cafe is a legendary site for great performances in country music. “It’s always an honor playing Douglas Corner Cafe,” states Jane Bach, who will be leading a writer’s round in the famous venue on August 24.

“So many great singer/songwriters have played here,” says Sandra Piller (NMW #1 Female Country Vocalist 2010), the Los Angeles-based singer who is looking forward to playing in the Friday night Round. The Douglas Corner Cafe has presented such stars as Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, The Kentucky Headhunters, Mark Collie, Jewel, Billy Dean, John Berry, Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks, and many others.

A frequent performer at songwriter’s rounds in cities from coast to coast, Bach is a Grammy nominated, multiple-award-winning writer of hit recordings by Reba McEntire, Ray Price, Jo Dee Messina, Tammy Wynette, Collin Raye, and many others. Bach’s “The Last One to Know” is still one of Reba McEntire’s biggest selling singles.

On stage with Bach and Piller in the 6-8pm show will be Becky Hobbs and Nik & Sam. Called “The Beckaroo” by friends, Hobbs is a compelling performer whose songs have been recorded by Alabama (“Angels Among Us”), Conway Twitty (“I Want To Know You Before We Make Love” went to #1), George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Glen Campbell, Wanda Jackson, John Anderson, Janie Fricke, Lacy J Dalton, Moe Bandy, Shelly West, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Jane Oliver, and others. Nik & Sam are two young singer-songwriters who have moved to Nashville to pursue their musical dreams, and from their great harmonies and terrific guitar-and-banjo playing, they’re on their way! Award-winning musician Duane Sciaqua (Paul McCartney, Glenn Frey, Rodney Atkins) will accompany Sandra Piller on guitar.

Often collaborating on songs with major and indie recording artists, and producer of Piller’s recent EP, “Love Goes On,” and album, “Days Like These,” Bach is an outspoken supporter of the writer’s round format. “This is such a great way for people to hear songs sung by the songwriter,” she states, “and you get the chance to hear amazing songs that you’ll never hear on radio. It’s always an inspiring experience for the writers and the audience.”

In the classic format of a round, each songwriter plays one their songs, followed by the next writer, and the next, and so on. They can join in with each other, add harmonies, contribute a guitar riff, perform a little percussion, or just listen along with the audience.

Douglas Corner Cafe is located at 2106 8th Ave S #A, Nashville, TN 37204; Phone: 615-298-1688. The “Jane Bach and Friends” event is Friday evening, August 24 from 6:00 ’til 8:00 p.m.

From Baseball to The Beatles, Ruth Roberts Music Is In Your Life

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — On the list of celebrated songwriters from the 1940s through the 1990s is the name of Ruth Roberts (www.ruthrobertsmusic.com). While not as well-known as some of her contemporaries, you have heard her work because Ruth Roberts’ songs are played in schools, sports stadiums and entertainment venues as well as broadcast to multiple generations of listeners year round.

“Ruth Roberts created one of the most famous sports songs in the history of our country,” says Susan Nicoletti, Director of Operations for Goldenrod Music, the publishing company that oversees Roberts’ songs. “Everyone expects the writer of a hit sports song would be a man, but Ruth wrote ‘Meet the Mets’ as the theme song for the New York Mets,” Nicoletti added.

Another song of Roberts, “It’s a Beautiful Day for a Ball Game,” is the theme for the Los Angeles Dodgers and is part of their radio broadcast before every one of their games.

“Sports fans will also recognize her football game anthem,” notes country singer/songwriter Sandra Piller, the daughter-in-law of Roberts. “Mr. Touchdown, USA” is a college football favorite and some consider it an unofficial theme for the New York Giants. Roberts also created the retro Valentine song, “I Love Mickey Mantle.”

Beatles fans probably know the Fab Four recorded “Mailman Bring Me No More Blues,” which appears on the “Anthology 3″ album. Written by the hip-before-her-time Roberts, the tune was also recorded by Buddy Holly, Oliver Nelson, and Lefty Frizzell.

The creator of songs in virtually every genre (pop, rock, blues, gospel, country, sports, children’s), Ruth Roberts is equally well known for her love songs. Starting in the nineteen fifties and onward, Roberts’ romantic ballads and playful up-tempo tunes were snapped up by the popular recording artists of the day, including Dean Martin, Theresa Brewer, Jimmy Dean, The McGuire Sisters, Patti Page, Debbie Reynolds, Vic Damone, Arthur Godfrey, Steve Allen and Eydie Gorme.

Roberts’ songs have been utilized in such movies and TV shows as “Yes Man,” “The Benchwarmer,” “A Dirty Shame,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Seinfeld,” and Conan O’Brien.

Influenced by the Broadway shows she saw as a teen-ager, Roberts wrote full-length and elementary school mini-musicals which appeal to the “Glee” fan in everyone. In observance of the July 4th holiday, two of Roberts’ musicals are of special interest: “Betsy Ross and the First American Flag,” and “Tall Tom Jefferson.”

Teachers and educators can discover more about her musicals written for a Kindergarten-through-grade-9 curriculum by visiting the Michael Brent Publications website at michaelbrent(dot)com.

For a Green World That’s Also Rich, SuperLife Features Next Level Jobs, Homes, Cars, Business, Government, Education, Arts, Thinking

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — EraNova Institute re-focuses its SuperLife social network to help people start thriving by riding green trends. SuperLife used to be a loose association of experts and proponents in fields ranging from technology to health and fitness. It will now sharpen its focus on under-reported trends toward a future that is both sustainable and prosperous.

“If we focus on dozens of green, next level trends, the future looks really bright,” says Richard W. (Dick) Samson, who runs SuperLife and serves as EraNova’s Director. He acknowledges that the economy is limping along with millions needing jobs and millions more stressed about their prospects, but asserts, “Thanks to the green, sustainable trends there are things people can do right now to start making money by making a difference, and start living better by spending, wasting, and polluting less.”

The trends are not just green and sustainable, according to Samson. They’re also more consciously-directed than yesterday’s more aimless trends. “There’s a new mind-set and level of thinking that’s taking us to the next levels of technical, economic, mental, physical, and social development.” Another characteristic of the trends is their accelerating speed. “Germinal, world-changing innovations are happening faster and faster in virtually every field. If we leverage these trends successfully, the future will be not just good but great, with transformed lifestyles, communities, and nations. In fact, life as we know it may be transitioning toward a kind of super-life.”

Samson started SuperLife to bring experts together to collaborate on shifting our present thinking toward practices that create more sustainability and prosperity rather than running down our resources until they are depleted and our health and environment are compromised. With its new focus it showcases pioneers helping individuals and society “leverage key trends to sustainable prosperity.”

Now active at http://www.superlife.ws, the site is designed to empower experts to amplify their messages and innovations through public exposure and pooled efforts. It features a growing collection of ideas, action options, services, products, principles, and people to help the transition from today’s relatively limited circumstances to more expansive options. Visitors to the site will have access to the latest resources for improving their own careers, health, mental capacities, communities and more. “The result can be an exceptional future for us all,” says Samson, “the next level for society, a green golden age.”

“Super-life” developments will now be tracked within six key categories: money, mind, health, living, technology, and culture. Experts in the six categories are invited to join SuperLife to collaborate and let people learn about their discoveries, innovations, principles, books, art works, useful products, or services. There will be a growing body of content useful to business and government leaders, professionals in all fields, students, and the general public. Articles, videos, and specialized groups feature everything from electric cars and off-the-grid living to artistic therapeutics and life extension. Anyone may join free at http://www.superlife.ws.

“Our future can be better than ever,” says Samson. “We don’t have to give up anything except waste, pollution, conflict, pointless excess, doubt, and delay. We can do more than restore yesterday’s sustainable balance. We can thrive within tomorrow’s infinite promise, because that’s sustainable too.”
