Scientology Publishing House Recognized as a ‘Good Corporate Citizen’

COMMERCE, Calif. -- In its annual review of corporate environmental standards, Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts recognized Bridge Publications, publisher of the nonfiction works of Scientology Founder and bestselling author L. Ron Hubbard, as a "good corporate citizen" for the sixth year running. Bridge Publications Inc. achieved this acknowledgment through its compliance with wastewater discharge limits and its maintenance of environmental equipment.

Environmental responsibility was incorporated into the planning and establishment of the Bridge Publications manufacturing plant, with wastewater minimization only one of its components.

To preserve Scientology religious scriptures, an Archival Project, established at Bridge Publications, uses metal plating on copper and etching on stainless steel to safeguard Mr. Hubbard's recorded lectures with corrosion-resistant metal long plays. These processes produce wastewater containing chemicals and metal. Through special treatment that removes these hazardous contaminants from the water, Bridge maintains 100 percent compliance with environmental standards. But this is only one of the ways Bridge reduces its environmental footprint.

One of the world's first all-digital on-demand publishing and manufacturing facilities, Bridge Publications incorporated care for the environment in every facet of its establishment.

With hundreds of different paper types and sizes used in most printing facilities, even the best of them discard as much as 25 percent of their paper, wasting ink in the process. Bridge was designed to minimize paper use, leaving very little trim waste on the edges and between the pages of its printed materials. By maximizing efficiency through the very design of the plant, Bridge consistently reduces paper waste from 25 percent to 5 percent, which they recycle.

"We are very proud to receive this recognition," says Lucia Winther, Public Relations Director at Bridge Publications. "We not only promote environmental responsibility and sustainability in our manufacturing practices, we also work with community partners and leaders to raise awareness of its importance and carry out community cleanups. This is in keeping with The Way to Happiness, one of the books of Mr. Hubbard that we publish. A common-sense guide to better living, the book includes the precept 'Safeguard and Improve Your Environment,' which is a guiding principle for our organization."

Bridge Publications is an award-winning facility at the cutting edge of technology, designed from the ground up with the sole purpose of fulfilling the ever-increasing demand for Scientology Scripture at a moment's notice.

In launching the Scientology Network in 2018, Scientology ecclesiastical leader Mr. David Miscavige promised to take viewers "behind the scenes and into our Church management, publication and dissemination facilities, humanitarian outreach centers and programs, and even into our new millennium Scientology archives."

That is exactly what the network does in an episode of Inside Scientology on Bridge Publications. Watch Inside Bridge Publications on the Scientology Network on DIRECTV Channel 320, DIRECTV STREAM or AT&T U-verse. It also streams at Scientology.tv, on mobile apps, and via the Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV platforms.

Scientology Volunteers Promote Responsibility and Care for the Environment Through Art

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Each month, the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles organizes a neighborhood cleanup. By survey, this is a high priority for local residents and businesses. And with the increase in crime and homelessness in the city, it is even more important today than when the initiative began. A partnership between the Church of Scientology, The Way to Happiness Foundation and the LAPD known as "Hollywood Village," the program has the purpose: to keep Hollywood beautiful, safe and clean.

L.A. Native was the theme of this month's activity. As usual, volunteers gathered at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center, collected cleaning supplies, and headed out for their monthly cleanup. After picking up and disposing of litter and trash, they tackled upgrading the appearance of six vandalized utility boxes. They painted the boxes with colorful images of native plants and animals, including the California poppy, bears, a hawk, and a unique spray-painted owl created by professional artist Michael Sanchez, who helps organize and coach the volunteers on their artwork.

The Church of Scientology sponsors the Hollywood Village initiative to care for the neighborhood known as the "show-business capital of the world." Visitors come from all over to see famous television and movie studios and record companies and the volunteers like to contribute to the community by helping keep it clean and aesthetic for neighbors and visitors alike.

After each cleanup, volunteers hand out copies of The Way to Happiness, the common-sense guide to better living written by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard. It is a moral code anyone may use to chart a course for a happier life.

Homelessness is a major issue in Los Angeles as it is in so many other cities. And The Way to Happiness can help those down on their luck get their lives going in a better direction. "This is a new kind of moral code. I have seen this book create miracles," says the coordinator of the project whose favorite quote to share is:

"One can feel that things are such now that it is much too late to do anything, that one's past road is so messed up that there is no chance of drawing a future one that will be any different: there is always a point on the road when one can map a new one. And try to follow it. There is no person alive who cannot make a new beginning."

To learn more, watch The Way to Happiness book on film on the Scientology Network.

This month's Hollywood Village cleanup was sponsored by Kettle Glazed Donuts and Domino's Pizza.

Neo-Bionica Appoints Uli Gommel As Chief Technology Officer

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Neo-Bionica, a leading innovator in the field of medical device development and manufacturing, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Uli Gommel as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Uli will lead Neo-Bionica's technology division spearheading its mission to revolutionize the way that companies bring novel neurotechnologies and smart MedTech devices to market.

Uli Gommel joins Neo-Bionica as a global leader in medical engineering with two decades experience spanning Europe, Asia and the US. Prior to joining Neo-Bionica, he was the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Advanced Bionics. There he led the end-to-end development and launch of the HiResTM Ultra 3D Cochelar Implant, a groundbreaking device which won the MedTech Breakthrough Award in 2019 for best overall medical device solution. Uli's expertise also extends to the development of pediatric cochlear implants, specialized surgical tools and high-resolution implantable electrode arrays.

Based in the US and with a proven track record in growing global MedTech teams, Uli's appointment demonstrates Neo-Bionica's commitment to growing its US presence. As CTO of Neo-Bionica, Uli will oversee design, development, and manufacturing services, providing expert insights for clients developing next-generation neurotech and smart MedTech devices. Through an outstanding depth and breadth of bioengineering expertise, fabrication skills, and regulatory know-how, Uli's experience will help to accelerate the development of implantable and wearable neurotechnologies and bioelectronics devices.

"Neo-Bionica is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of neurotechnology," said Uli. "I am honored to join this talented team and contribute to our shared vision of enhancing the lives of the people who will benefit from these products."

Neo-Bionica's CEO, Dr. Ludovic Labat, said "Not only does Uli's expertise and vision align perfectly with our mission to help companies realize the promise of bioelectric devices, but his presence in the US also signals our commitment to serving the needs of this significant market. With his leadership, Neo-Bionica will continue to grow quickly and smartly."

Uli will be leading a team of highly experienced industry and academic professionals with backgrounds in MedTech, mechanical and electronic engineering and previous experience from top-tier institutions including Invetech, Medtronic, Cochlear, Bionics Institute and Planet Innovation.

Neo-Bionica was established in 2021 to meet a need in the Australian market. Despite Australia's deep expertise in the development of advanced MedTech and Neurotech devices, emerging Australian Neurotech innovators were frequently forced to go overseas to prototype and manufacture their devices. Neo-Bionica was established to meet this gap in the market and since its establishment, its expertise and services have been in high demand from not only local innovators but international clients. Given this demand, Neo-Bionica fast-tracked its plan to establish a permanent foothold in the US with Uli's appointment.

About Neo-Bionica:

Neo-Bionica is an advanced Medtech manufacturer that specializes in providing commercialization and manufacturing services to develop digitally-enabled bionic and smart, neurotech medical device innovations. Insurance Industry Pioneer Releases Hybrid Guidebook on Building a Profitable Insurance Agency

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Inspirational entrepreneur Tim Gaspar has re-launched his debut book "The Biggest Leap: Building a Profitable Insurance Agency from the Ground Up" (ASIN: B0C3JGZZQR).

In "The Biggest Leap," Gaspar takes readers on a captivating journey, chronicling his remarkable rise from being on the brink of bankruptcy at the age of 20 to achieving immense success in the insurance business by understanding the industry and emphasizing people management. Gaspar draws on a lifetime of entrepreneurial experience, and the lessons and insights they taught him, in order to craft a book that contains key ingredients for building a successful insurance agency.

Throughout the book, Gaspar shares his own hard-won methodologies that propelled him from his personal rock bottom to a successful exit worth tens of millions of dollars by the time he reached 40. In the book, Gaspar avoids the typical get-rich-quick schemes and instead offers genuine principles for building a thriving insurance agency. Primarily, Gaspar stresses the importance of having all major corporate decisions benefit the business, team and customer at once, with the intention of creating sustainable long-term value:

"As I started an agency and opened different offices, I valued having full control over my time, allowing me to spend precious moments with my family," Gaspar says. "I wrote this book to help people build the insurance agency of their dreams. It's not about quick money; it's about building a business that generates millions of dollars in commission revenue and profitability."

Grounding these principles are lessons from Gaspar's life, illustrating that his journey was inspired by both his stepfather, a successful life and health insurance agent, and his late father, whose influence motivated Gaspar to make an impact as a positive, hardworking individual.

While "The Biggest Leap" is certainly a guide to building a successful business, it is also a testament to what Gaspar calls one of the best industries in the world. As he explains, the insurance industry has no inventory concerns and plenty of recurring revenue-all of which offers aspiring entrepreneurs everywhere a unique opportunity to create lasting value.

"The Biggest Leap: Building a Profitable Insurance Agency from the Ground Up" is now available on major platforms, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. For more information on entrepreneurship, Gaspar offers additional free resources on https://thebiggestleap.com/.

Faith Leaders Learn to Help Others with Scientology Tools for Life

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Volunteer Ministers Canadian Continental Cavalcade and the Church of Scientology of Cambridge, Ontario, hosted an interfaith forum with members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. Those attending were introduced to the Volunteer Ministers program and the 19 Scientology Tools for Life.

The Scientology religion offers practical solutions to help improve conditions in life. In 1973, Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard directed this technology to be made available for the training of Volunteer Ministers to enable them to confront "the pain, evil and injustice of existence," and gain the ability "to handle these things and help others achieve relief from them and new personal strength as well."

Those attending the seminar logged on to the free online Scientology Tools for Life course on the Scientology website and enrolled on the Technology of Study Course. Volunteer Ministers were on hand to help them master the principles and gain skill in their application.

The ability to learn is, of course, the cornerstone of the Volunteer Ministers program as it makes it possible to learn and apply each of the other skills a Volunteer Minister must master, including how to improve communication, resolve conflicts and relationship problems, raise happy and ethical children, succeed in one's chosen profession or field, and better one's own or others' conditions and circumstances.

Each student was presented a certificate on completing the course.

"Life is evolving," said one participant, "so we need to evolve with it." He realized that the knowledge he gained from the seminar will help him do so.

Another found she already "knew" some of the information in the course, but didn't apply it before. This course helped her understand what she was running into when she had difficulties while studying and how she can overcome them now. This will help her use what she learns from now on.

Many were interested in taking part in additional Tools for Life seminars and inviting their friends and colleagues to join them.

In a lecture in 1950, Mr. Hubbard described the importance of education to the future of the culture, not to mention the bettering of conditions for the individual: "The end and goal of any society, as it addresses the problem of education, is to raise the ability, the initiative and the cultural level and with all these the survival level of that society."

The Church of Scientology Cambridge was dedicated in February 2013 by Scientology ecclesiastical leader Mr. David Miscavige.

Every Church of Scientology is a central point from which the Church's many community and social betterment activities are coordinated. The Church and its members are committed to helping others and so provide assistance through a wide range of activities. In addition to the Scientology Volunteer Ministers program, these include anti-drug campaigns, human rights education initiatives, as well as social betterment programs utilizing L. Ron Hubbard's technology for drug rehabilitation, morality,

literacy, and criminal reform.

Churches also serve as central meeting places for parishioners and like-minded community groups with whom Scientologists partner.

From its beginnings, the Church of Scientology has recognized that freedom of religion is a fundamental human right. In a world where conflicts are often traceable to intolerance of others' religious beliefs and practices, the Church has, for more than 50 years, made the preservation of religious liberty an overriding concern.

The Church publishes the Scientology Religious Freedom Blog to help create a better understanding of the freedom of religion and belief and provide news on religious freedom and issues affecting this freedom around the world.

The Founder of the Scientology religion is L. Ron Hubbard and Mr. David Miscavige is the religion's ecclesiastical leader.

On the Scientology Network: Helping Bring Human Rights to Life in Nepal

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Born and raised during Nepal's 10-year civil war, Rahul KC grew up surrounded by violence. By the time the war ended in 2006, 19,000 had died and 3,000 men, women and children disappeared, never to be found, according to Rahul's Voices for Humanity episode on the Scientology Network.

Human rights violations, inherent in the culture from centuries past, persist. These include gender inequality, domestic violence, child marriage and labor, and a system that, despite being officially "abolished," continues to suppress members of lower castes.

As president of Youth for Human Rights Nepal, Rahul KC is determined to bring human rights and justice to every member of his country. His episode of Voices for Humanity is featured on the Scientology Network tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Youth for Human Rights International founder and president Mary Shuttleworth brought her organization's first Human Rights World Educational Tour to Nepal in 2005. Rahul, then only 12, served as her translator. His passion for instilling the 30 rights of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) to the benefit of each member of his country began then and has continued ever since. The UDHR is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948.

Rahul formed Youth for Human Rights Nepal with two other young human rights activists, and together they have seen to the human rights education of some 50,000 students in the county's schools, 60,000 Scouts, and 35,000 officers of Nepal's armed security forces.

They have brought their educational program and their passion for human rights to the prime minister, members of parliament, and the country's human rights commission, and have helped see to the revision of Nepal's constitution to ensure effective implementation, protection and promotion of human rights.

Youth for Human Rights International] (YHRI) is the sister organization of United for Human Rights, a not-for-profit organization founded to encourage young people to become advocates for tolerance and peace by educating them on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Thanks to the support of the Church of Scientology and Scientologists, Youth for Human Rights International provides its secular program and materials free of charge to anyone wishing to use them to educate others on this vital subject.

Inspired by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard who stressed that "human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream," Scientology Churches, Missions and groups worldwide promote human rights awareness through education about the UDHR.

The Scientology Network debuted on March 12, 2018. Since launching, it has been viewed in 240 countries and territories in 17 languages.
