IRVINE, Calif. – September 9 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — A new television and Internet show called “Life Beyond Bunions” produced by Vision2Media will be filmed in front of a live studio audience at Dave & Busters Irvine Spectrum Show Room on Saturday, October 8, 2005. Show producers are seeking bunion sufferers to participate in the event, which is by invitation only.

A bunion is a foot bone protrusion of the great toe joint, an affliction that affects nearly 2% of Americans or an estimated 5.2 million people of all ages (source: National Health Interview Survey, U.S. Bureau of the Census, 1995). Depending on their severity, bunions make it difficult or even impossible to walk normally, participate in sports or wear high-heeled shoes. Left untreated, bunions generally continue to grow and become more painful.

The studio audience for “Life Beyond Bunions” will include current bunion sufferers as well as over 100 former sufferers who have had their bunions removed by a new surgical technique.

The half-hour show will be hosted by Los Angeles television personality Kimber Mahon, herself a bunion sufferer. Ms. Mahon has resisted bunion surgery out of fear of possible pain and long recovery time. She will discuss bunion problems and the potential offered by new surgical techniques with members of the studio audience in an unscripted forum designed to explore how bunion problems can be solved and how bunion sufferers can regain a normal life.

“Life Beyond Bunions” will feature guest Podiatric Physician, Dr. Richard Moy, DPM, of Lake Forest California. Dr. Moy is a recognized expert on bunions, having performed over 1000 successful bunion surgeries. Unlike most types of bunion surgery, Moy’s bunion removal technique is documented via signed patient testimonials to be virtually pain-free in 97% of cases.

Dr. Moy is the immediate past President of the Orange County Podiatric Medical Association, a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

To be considered as a “Life Beyond Bunions” participant and attend the show taping on October 8, please contact Penny Brock via e-mail: penny @ drmoy.com or by phone at (949) 837-FEET (3338), ext. 100. For more information, visit www.DrMoy.com.
