BOONTON, N.J., Jan. 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Providers of transactional services to the telecommunications industry will see increasingly strong demand for products that support international global roaming, according to a new market research study from The Insight Research Corporation. Transactional services, which include signaling transaction services; call processing services such as 800, calling card, and directory assistance; as well as support for financial settlements, underpin all telecommunication services.

Insight's market analysis study "Transaction Service Processing and Telecommunications, 2009-2014," describes the technology and market forces driving the growth of transaction services in both wireline and wireless networks. According to the study, continued strong demand worldwide for wireless services as well as the increasing minutes of use generated by the subscriber while roaming will play a significant role in driving transaction services.

The study predicts that worldwide roaming retail revenues for transactional services including SMS, MMS and application-to-person will hit $968 million in 2009, and will continue growing at double-digit rates over the next five years.

"The outlook for transaction based services has never been brighter. SMS and MMS, which are predicated upon transactional information, are already well established and we are forecasting that demand will only increase," says Robert Rosenberg, Insight Research president.

"Furthermore, as a greater proportion of subscribers adopt 3G and 4G mobile technology, higher bandwidth applications such as video-on-demand, visual social networking, and Web 2.0 services are likely to demand ever greater support from the transaction service providers, propelling this industry into explosive growth," Rosenberg concluded.

Author: INSIGHT Research Corp
Dateline: Thu, 11 Dec 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOONTON, N.J., Dec. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Despite slowdowns and spending cuts in many industries, overall spending by all U.S. businesses on wired and cellular calling is forecasted to reach nearly $140 billion by the close of 2009, says a new market research report from INSIGHT Research. The study predicts that cellular calling will account for just over 41 percent of the U.S. corporate phone bill for telecommunication services in 2009, and is the fastest growing expense area.”

BOONTON, N.J., Dec. The study predicts that cellular calling will account for just over 41 percent of the U.S. corporate phone bill for telecommunication services in 2009, and is the fastest growing expense area.

insight ResearchINSIGHT's newly released market analysis report, Telecom Services in Vertical Markets 2008-2013, reveals that wireless service revenues are expected to grow at a compounded rate of nearly 16 percent annually from 2008 to 2013, while growth in wired services remains essentially flat.

The biggest spenders on cellular services will come from four market segments: construction; financial, insurance, and real estate; professional business services; and transportation.

The study analyzes 14 vertical industries categorized by the NAICS, and focuses on corporate spending for wireline and wireless telecommunications services in each of the 14 industries.

"Even without the current recession, revenue growth in wireline services was not forecasted," says Robert Rosenberg, President of INSIGHT. "It is continued demand for wireless services that is keeping the telecom industry in the black, though that demand is going to be uneven across the various business sectors," Rosenberg concludes.

Long Term Outlook Bright for Worldwide Telecommunications Industry Despite Current Economic Turmoil, says Insight Research Corp

Author: Insight Research Corporation
Dateline: Tue, 02 Dec 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOONTON, N.J., Dec. 2 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Despite the unsteady state of the global financial markets, the worldwide telecommunications industry is expected to continue expanding over the next five years as continuing growth of wireless services in emerging markets offsets the spending slowdown in the advanced economies, says a new market analysis report from The INSIGHT Research Corporation. BOONTON, N.J., Dec. According to the new industry market study, overall telecommunications services revenues are expected to grow at a compounded rate of nearly 10.3 percent over the next few years, reaching $2.7 trillion by 2013.

Insight Research"The 2009 Telecommunications Industry Review: An Anthology of Market Facts and Forecasts" notes that wireless makes the strongest showing while wireline follows a distant second. Nearly all of the growth in both sectors is expected to occur in broadband services, with wireless broadband service revenues expected to grow at a compounded rate of more than 70 percent over the forecast period, while wireline broadband services grow at under 10 percent over the same forecast horizon.

"The 2009 Telecommunications Industry Review: An Anthology of Market Facts and Forecasts" states that even amidst so much economic uncertainty the fact remains that telecommunications is a key input factor in economic growth. Telecommunications is a facilitator of socio-economic advancement and is a critical utility for economic development, much like water and energy. It is on the basis of telecommunications as a lynchpin in the eventual economic recovery that INSIGHT Research projects continued carrier revenue growth.

"The worldwide economy is in turmoil, there is no doubt about that, but over the long haul we expect the telecommunications industry to continue growing," says INSIGHT president Robert Rosenberg. "Telecom is as necessary to development as roads and bridges, so we expect it to fare much better than other economic segments that may take longer to return to normalcy," Rosenberg concluded.

Large Minnesota School District Applauds Alerting System

Author: Leader Technologies Incorporated
Dateline: Fri, 07 Nov 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “COLUMBUS, Ohio (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- After using its health and safety alerting system for nine months, Roseville Area Schools, a Minnesota school district comprising more than 6,400 students, has declared Leader Alert to be a key communication tool for connecting with parents, says Leader Technologies Chairman Mike McKibben.”

'Much quicker and more cost-effective'

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 7 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- After using its health and safety alerting system for nine months, Roseville Area Schools, a Minnesota school district comprising more than 6,400 students, has declared Leader Alert® to be a key communication tool for connecting with parents, says Leader Technologies Chairman Mike McKibben.

Karen Schaub, Director of Community Education and Public Relations for Roseville Area Schools, described how the district utilized the product in a tense situation.

"Our middle school used Leader Alert to quickly notify parents of a precautionary lock-down which was put in place to diffuse a potential confrontation by students from another school."

Schaub continued, "Leader Alert allowed us to dispel the rumors which inevitably would have perpetuated from such an event. This was a much quicker, more cost-effective communication solution than the traditional methods we have used in the past."

Leader Alert enables schools to use any combination of voice, texting, and email to send simultaneous messages to hundreds or thousands of staff and parents in just minutes, making it ideal for use by schools in situations ranging from lurking predator to weather emergencies.

For example, said Schaub, Roseville used Leader Alert to quickly notify 400 parents of the need to reschedule an outdoor field trip at the last minute, due to a forecast of severe weather the next day.

"In the past, this situation would have called for hours of phone calls by teachers and office staff," Schaub noted. "Leader Alert(R) allows our staff to spend their time doing what's important - educating students!"

"Our goal is to provide schools with a system that offers superior Web 2.0 technology, ease of use, and low cost," said Leader Chairman McKibben, noting that the product was made available to Roseville through local Minnesota company and Leader affiliate Tyda, headed by former Jostens reps Scott and Mark Anderson.

While in widespread use within the academic community, Leader Alert has many other applications. It has been used in terrorist attack simulations and as an early warning system by harbor masters in the event of a hurricane.

Leader Technologies of Columbus, Ohio, also markets sister product Leader Phone®, which was used for internal and external communication by the Louisiana state government in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, after most of its state communications systems had gone down.

Telecommunications Future Remains Bright Despite Potential Threats to Network Integrity, Says Insight Research Corporation

Author: Insight Research Corporation
Dateline: Wed, 22 Oct 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOONTON, N.J., Oct. 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Despite perturbations in global financial markets, worldwide telecommunication industry revenues are predicted to continue growing at a healthy eight percent over the next five years, according to a new market analysis study from INSIGHT Research Corporation. Telecommunications revenue, including narrowband and broadband landline, wireless and cellular services, as well as Internet communications are expected to grow from $2.1 trillion in 2008 to more than $3 trillion by 2013.”

A R T I C L E:

BOONTON, N.J., Oct. 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Despite perturbations in global financial markets, worldwide telecommunication industry revenues are predicted to continue growing at a healthy eight percent over the next five years, according to a new market analysis study from INSIGHT Research Corporation. Telecommunications revenue, including narrowband and broadband landline, wireless and cellular services, as well as Internet communications are expected to grow from $2.1 trillion in 2008 to more than $3 trillion by 2013 even as margins on traditional voice-related products continue contracting and the industry responds by shifting to an Internet Protocol (IP) communications fabric.

INSIGHTAccording to INSIGHT's report "The Future of Telecommunications 2008-2013" with voice revenues shrinking faster than their ability to cut costs, landline phone and cellular companies are turning to IP communications technology to reduce their cost of operations. IP facilitates convergence, making it easier for incumbents to replace multiple networks with one network on which everything travels as interleaved streams of IP packets. The study also notes that the shift to IP will engender greater competition, which will lead to lower subscribers' fees; however, the downside is that telecommunications networks may be subject to attacks not seen in traditional phone networks.

"The industry has no choice but to shift to IP communications since it is the only sure way to lower operational costs and to quicken the cycle time required to roll out new services," says INSIGHT president Robert Rosenberg.

"IP will create greater competition, which will lower prices for consumers and businesses. However, the centralized control that was a hallmark of the old phone networks will be gone, and IP networks have already come under attack by cyber criminals and far more powerful organizations that targeted opposition government web sites, so the shift to IP comes with a downside potential as well," Rosenberg concluded.

"The Future of Telecommunications 2008-2013" evaluates revenue and subscriber growth in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Americas, and Africa. Capital expenditures are also estimated by region and equipment class.

Spending on Telecommunications Private Line Services to Hit $40.6 Billion in 2008, Says Insight Research Corporation

Author: INSIGHT Research Corporation
Dateline: Mon, 08 Sep 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOONTON, N.J., Sept. 8 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The $40 billion private line services market is posting solid growth for a third straight year, says a market analysis study from INSIGHT Research. Private lines are point-to-point circuits leased by enterprises from telecommunications carriers in order to link enterprise sites to each other and to the Internet. Private lines are also used by cellular carriers to link their towers to land line networks.”

A R T I C L E:

BOONTON, N.J., Sept. Private lines are also used by cellular carriers to link their towers to land line networks.

Insight ResearchAccording to INSIGHT's report, "Private Line and Wavelength Services, 2008-2013," continued growth in the segment will come as a result of the strong demand for private lines used to backhaul 3G wireless services from cell towers to switching centers, increased demand for local bandwidth needed to cache IPTV video services, and most recently, the quickening pace of adoption of VoIP by large enterprises that are using private lines to link hosted and dedicated VoIP PBX solutions.

"As a consequence of the industry consolidations, pricing is now stable," says INSIGHT president Robert Rosenberg. "And while gigabit Ethernet services and pair bonded copper solutions are potent alternative technologies, the private line market still has plenty of room to continue growing in excess of four percent over our forecast period," Rosenberg concluded.

"Private Line and Wavelength Services 2008-2013" evaluates the total private line market and segments it by local and long distance private line service revenue, wholesale and retail private line revenue, revenue by type of carrier, revenue by T1, T3 or OC-n circuit class, as well as the number of T1, T3, and OC-n private lines sold. Estimates of the market share of the major providers are also provided.

Telecommunications Gateway Market Now Showing Solid Growth, Says Insight Research

Author: INSIGHT Research
Dateline: Wed, 30 Jul 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOONTON, N.J., July 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Total worldwide sales revenue for telecommunication gateways and session border controllers is expected to increase at a compounded rate of nearly 13 percent over the next five years, says a new market study from INSIGHT Research. This specialized equipment enables traditional phone networks to interconnect with next generation network services that make extensive use of the Internet.”

A R T I C L E:

BOONTON, N.J., July 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Total worldwide sales revenue for telecommunication gateways and session border controllers is expected to increase at a compounded rate of nearly 13 percent over the next five years, says a new market study from INSIGHT Research. This specialized equipment enables traditional phone networks to interconnect with next generation network services that make extensive use of the Internet. During 2008, nearly $2 billion worth of gateway technology will be sold in global markets; by 2013, sales of new gateway gear will increase to $3.5 billion annually, according this industry research study.

INSIGHT Research market researchINSIGHT's newly-released market analysis report, Network Gateways, Multi-Access Systems, and the SS7-to-IP Migration, 2008-2013, reveals that while global gateway sales will increase at just under 13 percent over the forecast period, hybrid-fiber coax gateways, SIP gateways, and session border controllers will buck the trend and are expected to exhibit sales revenue growth rates in excess of 30 percent over the forecast period.

This study examines nine types of gateways as well as session border controllers, all of which are driven by similar market demand. The study forecasts unit demand and revenue by geographic region for session border controllers, SIP gateways, enterprise gateways, enhanced services gateways, wireless gateway, media gateway, hybrid fiber coax gateways, wholesale gateways, signal gateway and Internet telephony gateways.

"The Next Generation Network, which will make extensive use of IP and web services is still years away from generating serious revenue, and in the meantime carriers are not about to fork lift out the infrastructure that makes them money today," says Robert Rosenberg, INSIGHT's president.

"Gateways form the link between today's revenue-generating services and what the carriers will be building to generate their future revenue streams, so we expect the telecommunications gateway market to continue growing for at least the next five years," Rosenberg concludes.

ORLANDO, Fla., July 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Auditel Inc. today announced that it has been awarded by General Services Administration (GSA) schedule of Telecommunication Audit & Financial Training Services (SIN 520 14)(www.auditelinc.com/GSA_Schedule.aspx). Auditel Inc. can now offer GSA rates to military, federal, state, and local Government agencies to reduce telecom expenses and control telecom budgets through Telecom Expense Management Training (TEM).

AuditelStretching and saving taxpayer dollars when times are tough is a difficult job, and now more than ever before telecom cost recovery and telecom savings is essential. Did you know that many government offices of all sizes are paying more money for telephone and telecom services than necessary because of errors in their telecom bills? Some are paying for disconnected lines, non activated services, double billing, incorrect contract rates, and tariff violations in wired and wireless services.

Auditel, Inc. has been auditing telephone bills for various government agencies and large and small businesses for 16 years, saving most of them 25 to 40 percent on their telecom and telephone bills. Auditel holds a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) to include telecom audit recovery SIN 520 9 (auditelinc.com/recovery_auditing.html), helping many receive large telecom refunds and telecom recoveries for charges that were paid in error.

Telecom training services include: basic terminology, billing codes, tariff, taxes, and surcharges. Intermediate training provides telecom inventory management, contract compliance, traffic study analysis, invoice assessment and cost reduction analysis. Auditel professional workshops teach the telecom managers how to manage and maintain inventory, monthly billing, and more.

This training will support Government Telecommunication programs and projects to include covering the migration and crossover from FTS2001 to Networx. Auditel Inc. will educate these agencies to analyze their telecom bills, find billing errors, how to obtain refunds and recoveries, ensure their bills are accurately invoiced according to current telecom contracts and tariffs. Auditel will also provide in-depth TEM expertise on telecom bill auditing to support the telecom cost management mission in each agency.

Our government can now learn how to navigate all the different telecom monthly fees, surcharges, and taxes to ensure that every tax dollar spent is for an actual service delivered and that each invoice is accurate.

BOONTON, N.J., June 23 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Carriers and other providers in the global ICT (information and communications technology) industry can bring to bear an expansive array of technologies and services to substantially improve the environment while generating over $1 trillion in new industry revenue over the next five years, according to a new market research study from The Insight Research Corporation. The study found that by using existing networks and services, carriers and other ICT providers can utilize green communications portfolios that mitigate the deleterious impacts that green house gas (GHG) emissions, energy power consumption, and waste disposal have on the environment.

Insight ResearchInsight Research's market analysis study, "Communicating Green: Telecommunications Value in Promoting Environmental Improvement, 2008-2013," evaluated the use of existing telecommunications technologies and services applied to five key domains: transportation demand management to improve gasoline consumption; demand side management of electrical power, machine-to-machine communications to improve operational efficiencies; the recycling of electronic devices; and regulatory compliance and audits.

To impact the environment positively in each of the domains, specific improvements were quantified in nine solution areas: mobile workforce; field services and personnel; data center operations; telecommuting; facilities/building management; environmental audit and compliance systems; branch and remote office capabilities; environmentally located data centers; and ICT equipment recycling.

"Instead of investing in new technology, all carriers have to do is organize their existing capabilities into solutions sets," says Robert Rosenberg, Insight Research. "For example, carriers have technologies that can be used to reduce auto emissions as well as energy demand to heat and cool offices and homes. Enterprises and households that reduce their carbon footprint will be able to monetize the results, while carriers generate new revenue from existing capabilities," Rosenberg concluded.

"Communicating Green: Telecommunications Value in Promoting Environmental Improvement 2008-2013" examined over 50 technologies, services and applications to create an algorithmic model that combines over 60,000 relevant variables to assess telecommunications' impact on environmental mitigation.

Alerting product provides early warning for parents, staff in emergency situations

COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 2 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Ohio School Boards Association announced today its endorsement of Leader Alert, a health and safety alerting product, for the more than 700 Ohio public school districts that comprise its membership. Leader Alert, the creation of Leader Technologies of Columbus, Ohio, makes it possible for a school to quickly and simultaneously alert thousands of parents and staff by telephone, texting, and email in case of emergencies ranging from lurking predators to snow days.

According to OSBA Deputy Executive Director Rob Delane: "Unfortunate events happening across the country have made the need to send out emergency update alerts almost a necessity. Schools need an easy and effective way to notify parents and staff members about incidents that may arise during the school year."

Leader Chairman Mike McKibben sees the OSBA/Leader partnership as "a natural" and cited Parma City Schools, which has used Leader Alert since September 2006, as an example. "They used our product to notify all their parents within minutes of an armed attacker being apprehended while trying to enter the school. They also use Leader Alert for everyday applications, like notifying parents when a school bus returns late from a school field trip."

Delane noted that OSBA study and testing pinpointed three key reasons for their choice of Leader Alert. "One, it was easy to use. Two, schools can use it with their current technologies, and three, it can effectively notify large numbers of individuals almost simultaneously."

Delane stressed the benefits that the endorsement provides for member schools. "School boards count on OSBA to do the appropriate research before lending its name to a particular product or service. OSBA's research indicates that Leader Alert is superior to other alerting systems and cost effective for school districts."

As Delane pointed out: "The OSBA is very selective about its endorsements and will not endorse a product or service unless it meets certain criteria." He called Leader Alert "reliable and effective," adding "we also see a significant benefit for use in our disaster planning efforts."

Leader's alerting and audio conferencing services were used extensively by the Louisiana Governor's Office in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, after many of the state's other communications systems had failed. Leader Alert has diverse applications ranging from terrorist attack simulations to early storm warnings to boat owners, and it is currently in use as a health and safety alerting tool on school and college campuses across the United States.
