PORTLAND, Ore. – Apr. 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Zack Orr Music proudly announces the release of “Francisco the Man.” Francisco the Man (www.franciscotheman.org) is 12 songs, each coinciding with the months in a year. As the album progresses through the four seasons, the instrumentation and overall sound changes as well.
Zack recorded natural sounds from each of the four seasons and arranged them as rhythmic beds and soundscapes throughout the record. Beginning April 1st, all 12 songs will be released, one song per month, over the course of a year.
Orr’s songs have been called “Stunning and inventive,” by Ben Fong-Torres, former Senior Editor of Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as “a developing concept of eclectic sounds in a flowing story and journey” by Mary Turcotte, Head A&R at Protectomatic Music and Entertainment.
Zack states “Francisco The Man is 12 songs, each coinciding with the months in a year. In the album, the year starts with spring (makes sense right?) so April 1st is the perfect release date.” In addition to this different and new release style, Zack Orr is donating 5% of all songs sales from the album to The American Foundation for the Blind. The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) is a national nonprofit that expands possibilities for people with vision loss.
Francisco the Man stands out by having an entirely new type of distribution concept. Fans can visit zackorr.com and or franciscotheman.org and either purchase each month’s song individually, or via a “song subscription.” With the latter, fans will receive an email each month with a download link to the current month’s song. For fans who still long for physical CDs and album artwork, the “deluxe subscription” will include all 12 songs via download plus an actual CD mailed to their home at the end of the year.
