DETROIT, Mich., Dec. 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Webahn Inc. announces the launch of iPhone Web application for its online Electronic Medical Records (EMR) service – Capzule.com – at a low starting price of $50 per month. Capzule makes it possible for physicians to care for their patients while off site. With the launch of the iPhone Web application for Capzule.com, an online service that provides electronic medical records to independent clinics, physicians can now easily connect with their office via their iPhone.
This new application provides physicians with greater flexibility in caring for their patients. They can review patient files on their mobile device, and provide quicker response times when away from the office.
Physicians can view messages, check their schedule, review charts, and write prescriptions. Doctors who treat patients in more than one location will greatly benefit. They can check on patients between hospital rounds, nursing home visits and more.
“And, this low price makes it very affordable for single physician clinics to adopt an Electronic Medical Records service,” Vinu Nair, CEO, Webahn Inc. says.
Capzule.com has reduced its price from $200 per physician to accommodate small and part-time clinics. Under this new plan, monthly subscription rates start at $50 per physician.
“Our mission is to offer small practices affordable, online solutions that are efficient and easy-to-use. We want to help them deliver quality care to their patients,” Nair says. “By launching the iPhone Web application and lowering the rate plan, we hope to make Capzule.com affordable to the large number of physicians who are turned away by high price tags associated with many other electronic medical record services.”
Iqbal Boxwala, M.D. of Hematology and Oncology Consultants, P.C., a group practice of seven physicians located in Royal Oak, Mich. explains that “Capzule has greatly improved our physicians’ quality of life because they can now access charts at anytime from anywhere.”
Webahn Inc. is a privately-held company incorporated in Michigan. The company has been providing online clinical documentation solutions to physicians since 2000.
In addition to Capzule.com, Webahn offers OvernightScribe.com, an online application for health care providers to manage medical transcriptions; it’s used by physicians nationwide, including leading hospitals such as Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
