Job losses are slowing; the stock market seems to have found solid ground and gas prices are half of what they were last year. “People are starting to feel more confident and have resumed living their lives,” said Rob Tischler, President and CEO of Allstar Coaches. While some spending habits may have been changed forever, people still place a high value on recreation, particularly on their vacations. “Folks are moving on and making plans. People are getting back out on the road again,” Tischler added.Allstar Coaches is reporting a whopping 124 percent increase in bookings versus last year on their Florida RV rentals and predicts a record breaking summer season. Allstar also reports their California and Pennsylvania rentals are up dramatically as well since opening additional locations in those states.
“It’s still about value,” says renter Nancy O’Keefe of Wellington, Florida. “Things may be easing, but money’s still a concern. “You’ve got to keep a keen eye out to find the best deal,” according to O’Keefe. An RV rental cuts out expensive airline tickets and overpriced hotel rooms.
Families are saving money and getting the biggest bang out of their travel dollars.
