Connected Solutions Group Releases m106 LTE Gateway Router

RICHMOND, Va. -- Connected Solutions Group, LLC (CSG), a national leader in wireless hardware deployment and services, today announced that it is bringing its first in-house hardware product to market, the CSG m106 LTE Gateway Router. The router, designed to operate on the Verizon network, will be used for a wide range of business connectivity use cases.

"This is the next step in the evolution of CSG bringing dynamic and high-demand products into the market," stated Michael Pittman, CEO at CSG, "We have spent over a year in development making sure the device meets standards worthy of our brand. In the end, we've built something made with outstanding quality and with more features than most routers that are anywhere near the price point we will be able to offer."

Of the many features of the m106 Router, some of the key differentiators are its internal battery that will take over if external power is not available for up to eight hours; both WAN and LAN ethernet ports; IP passthrough mode; a cloud management portal with remote monitoring capabilities of the device; a pair of premium Panorama-4G/LTE Paddle antennas; inline failover capabilities; an included wall mount bracket; and a USB port that can output a charge to other devices.

A key motivation behind the device are the growing Business Internet (BI) offerings from Verizon. BI allows businesses to use the Verizon network as their primary internet service and requires a cellular connected router to facilitate the service for each customer.

"We've been a key player in BI 'Business Internet' since Verizon introduced it last year," said Pittman, "As we've put thousands of routers into the BI program, use cases have become clear to us that require features not available on some entry-level routers. The m106 feature set solves for many of the needs that Verizon is positioning BI into."

On the support side, CSG is backing up the device with included managed services and support for every Verizon BI customer who purchases the m106. "We are fully vested in every customer's success with this device," commented Pittman, "So it seemed natural to us to give six months of managed services with every sale. This support is with our own, US-based employees who will be here to hold the customer's hand through any questions they may have, assure that the device is set up properly for every unique use case, and even proactively monitor device status for the customer."

"At the end of the day, this is the CSG difference," concluded Pittman, "We're going to offer the best possible product backed by the best possible service in the industry. Our customers deserve it, Verizon customers deserve it, and, with the m106, we're going to deliver it."

Netcube Achieves World’s First Multi-Slice Application Service Architecture Proven on Commercial Grade 5G System

SEOUL, Korea -- Netcube, Inc., a Korea-based leading telecom software company just announced that the company has achieved a significant milestone towards a 5G-led business for a 5G ecosystem. It's successfully proved its network slicing application enabler platform on a commercial-grade 5G system.

The achievement was part of the "5G Convergence Service Field Test Project" funded by the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Korea. And, the implementation was officially proven by the Telecommunication Technology Association (TTA) at the "National 5G Convergence Testbed" facility operated by National Information Society Agency (NIA) of Korea. The facility is equipped with carrier-grade Samsung 5G SA access and core system.

Dong-ho Yu, CEO of Netcube, said, "Network slicing technology is a fundamental feature for a 5G ecosystem, but it seems to have remained a rather conceptual ideal for a long time."

Yu attributes this to a lack of service attaching technology with vertical industries and their applications.

"The goal of this development was to suggest a network slicing-based business model for 5G converged ecosystem participants and to offer practical level enabling solutions for CSPs, vertical industries and users," he says.

Sung-Uk Rha, director of Future Network Center at NIA, said that, "Korea was the first country to commercialize 5G networks successfully, and this world-first demonstration of Netcube's original network slicing technology shows an example of the country's continued innovation."

In addition to this milestone, in 2021, Netcube achieved another notable accomplishment during its participation in the "5G Government Network Pilot Project" which was to develop and prove the industry's first 3GPP compliant "Secondary Authentication" system. This helps governments and enterprises to identify and authorize 5G-based private network access from commercial 5G networks.

Connected Solutions Group Announces 12:34 MicroTechnologies as Strategic Solutions Partner

RICHMOND, Va. -- Connected Solutions Group, LLC (CSG), a national leader in wireless hardware deployment and services, today announced that it has added 12:34 MicroTechnologies, Inc. as their latest Strategic Solutions Partner (SSP). CSG's SSP program is designed to integrate companies with specific areas of expertise with CSG's channel offerings in order to maximize the customer's experience and satisfaction.

12:34 MicroTechnologies, a Pennsylvania-based company founded in 1998, is a national leader offering sales, professional services, and managed services for Microsoft cloud services, Microsoft Office 365, and Azure. From software implementations, migrations, support, and proactive managed services, 12:34 is a full-service IT firm for Microsoft's wide-ranging products and services.

"This partnership is a huge win for our customers and Verizon customers in so many ways," said Michael Pittman, CEO at CSG, "Alejandro and his team at 12:34 are some of the most professional people we've met in the IT realm, and we've seen a huge demand for these services from Verizon teams around the country."

With Verizon selling business customers a wide range of Microsoft product licenses, Pittman saw the need for a partner who could step in to handle the complex migrations and implementations of the software.

"This was the missing puzzle piece to the offering and the feedback from the customers and Verizon reps has been tremendous," Pittman said, "The addition of 12:34's services to the sale of these Microsoft products is often the deciding factor for the customer to move forward."

Alejandro Rosado, who started 12:34 in 1998 is equally enthusiastic about teaming up with the team at CSG. "Culturally, our two companies are a great fit together," said Rosado, "As we learned more about CSG's place in the market, its relationship with Verizon, and its ability to market our services to their customers, it became incredibly obvious that this was a fantastic opportunity for all of us."

CSG has been quickly growing its SSP lineup over the past several quarters as they scale to offer more of the services needed by its constantly growing customer base. The company's goal is to fully live up to its name and offer all the connected solutions that its customers require, often through SSP partners bringing specialized expertise.

"It's another step in our constant evolution to make sure we are offering all of the products and services that Verizon business customers need," said Pittman, "We're looking forward to spreading the word about this service to our partners at Verizon. The feedback we've gotten so far has been tremendous and we know it will be a huge win for the Verizon reps who regularly have customers with this need."

MetaGeek Unveils New Tech Support Product Addressing Remote Employees’ Home Wi-Fi

BOISE, Idaho -- Today Wi-Fi tech company MetaGeek announces the launch of its highly anticipated Signifi Business. Signifi Business helps IT professionals visualize and troubleshoot employees' home Wi-Fi networks with remote tools and a centralized dashboard.

It's designed for organizations supporting remote or hybrid employees, which has become a significant percentage of the workforce as the pandemic year has permanently changed many employees' and businesses' relationship to the office.

How It Works from the IT Pro's Perspective

"Signifi Business allows IT to remotely diagnose connectivity issues on employees' Wi-Fi networks, no matter their location," explains MetaGeek's Founder and "Chief Geek" Ryan Woodings. "The best part is that front-line remote troubleshooting is done for you, and you only have to get involved when there are escalations."

End users install a lightweight desktop client that scans their network periodically, diagnoses issues, and suggests step-by-step fixes for them to try, while at the same time sending network data to the admin dashboard.

That way, if the self-help fixes don't work, IT administrators already have all the information needed to step in and resolve the problem quickly - no tedious helpdesk calls required.

What It Costs

The $150 plan is billed annually for five seats, with a 14-day free trial to start. Additional seats are available at $30/year.

Fusion Broadband embraces Equinix in global expansion of its SD-WAN service

SORRENTO, Victoria, Australia -- Leading SD-WAN provider, Fusion Broadband, has expanded into Equinix, which will give it a significantly larger global footprint and enable it to offer customers enhanced performance and more advanced connectivity options.

Equinix is a leading digital infrastructure company operating more than 220 data centres in 26 countries on five continents.

As the networking requirements of global businesses become more sophisticated, Fusion Broadband identified a need to support their customers' growth by leveraging Equinix and offering greater WAN connectivity through direct access to a multitude of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Alibaba and Oracle.

Jason Maude, managing director of Fusion Broadband, said the new arrangement with Equinix(R) and Equinix Metal(TM) will allow the company to quickly and easily provide dedicated SD-WAN gateways in more than 50 location points globally.

"With our unique SD-WAN orchestration platform customers are able to deploy SD-WAN sites and gateways in minuets, as well as enable direct connections with the majority of the major cloud providers. They can be self-managed or our team of SD-WAN specialists can manage them for the customer. Dedicated private backbones between regions can also be provisioned for customers adding a greater level of performance and security.

"With Equinix Fabric, we can offer global or national customers faster and more flexible access to all of the cloud services and partners that are on the Platform Equinix. This allows customers to extend the reach of their SD-WAN network not only globally but also with direct access into the world's largest cloud service providers."

As an example, a customer that prefers to have a dedicated environment (as opposed to a shared multi-tenant environment) for its offices in each region may elect to have one or two POPs in each region, which very easily allows a private backbone between POPs to be created that can support speeds from tens of Mbps through to 10-20Gbps.

"By combining the benefits of our POP infrastructure from IBM Cloud and now Equinix, we have a significantly larger global footprint," Maude said.

"Our SD-WAN managed service business already supports over 100 multi-tenant gateways around the world. The addition of Equinix will allow us to further expand this with the ability to deploy dedicated gateways for customers or dedicated private connections between SD-WAN gateways. It can be set up within a matter of hours."

With Equinix's private backbone, Fusion Broadband's international customers can now easily build their own private backbone between their Fusion Broadband SD-WAN gateways - either dedicated or multi-tenant -- where backbone capacity can be scaled up and down as required. These private backbone links offer guaranteed performance and security between gateways.

"The ability to quickly turn on direct links via Equinix or even Megaport's peering fabrics means we can provide customers with a tremendous amount of connection and SD-WAN flexibility," Maude added.

Organisations are now taking advantage of Fusion SD-WAN, which provides an affordable multi-site private network (SD-WAN) solution with exceptional flexibility, performance and control. Fusion Broadband has more than 300 resellers globally, selling and supporting the range of their products.
