A R T I C L E:

Published at age 16, poet Aaron Ozee has written and self-published four poetry books through the self-publishing company, Lulu. "Celestial Inferno: Poems of Another Realm," initially released in hardcover, now will be available as an eBook and Kindle Edition through major retailers such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo Books, and more.

The transition into the virtual world will hopefully prove to be successful upon the book's re-release into the eMarket and will truly mold Ozee's future for the better.

Newspapers like My Suburban Life, The Lombardian, Lemont Report, and The Addison Press, have already featured this poet in multiple issues, but Ozee is still seeking that one golden moment of fame.

Beginning to write so young, Ozee always found converting his inner thoughts and feelings into the written word was the best way to show others his intelligence. At the simple age of 5, Ozee had begun to develop a series of children stories, dealing with fictitious characters such as "Arro" and "The Hungry Grab." Later on, Ozee would alter his direction from children's books and into short stories, and within just a short year, between the ages of 9 and 10, he handwrote over 35 short stories, each ranging between 10-30 pages in length.

Ozee's parents immediately noticed that this wasn't just another hobby for him, that it was something more than an average skill, but a creative gift that would forever remain within his grasps for years to come. "Never did I think that he would actually make something out of all this, I mean, it astounds me just to see him achieving so much within such a short amount of time," said Ozee's mother.

Challenging himself, Ozee tested his skill on all ends, attempting to construct both fictional and non-fictional novels at the steady ages of 12 and 13, but never published them due to lack in grammatical efficiency and financial contributions. Though Ozee was compelled to overcome many obstacles along the way, it didn't stop him one bit from discovering, in the early months of his 14th year, that poetry was his true calling in the written world.

Teachers from both his eighth grade and freshman classes took strong interests in Ozee's work and requested if he would reward their ears with fresh and youthful words of poetic beauty. Eventually, Ozee's desire to one day become one of the youngest published authors in the world at last came true in February 2012, halfway through his sophomore year, by self-publishing his first titles with world-leading online self-publishing company, Lulu.

Since then, Ozee has continued to be recognized around the world for his inspirational success and consistent creativity in the poetry-publishing industry. If you should wish to contact Aaron Ozee directly, you may email him at Lumidrone@yahoo.com, for any further questions or requests for interviews or television appearances.

The Kindle Edition of "Celestial Inferno: Poems of Another Realm," is available on Amazon at: http://amzn.com/B00C9PEW3U .

California’s Retirement Crisis Planner Offers Long-Term Care and Medi-Cal Solutions in New Book

Author: Karl Kim
Dateline: Los Angeles, California (LOS ANGELES, Calif.)  | Tue, 02 Apr 2013

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “According to retirement crisis expert. and author of 'Don't Go Broke Paying the Nursing Home' (ISBN: 978-0988902619), Karl Kim, CFP, CLTC; each year thousands of people are thrust into a 'care crisis' when a family member or loved one needs long-term care.”

A R T I C L E:

According to retirement crisis expert, and author of "Don't Go Broke Paying the Nursing Home" (ISBN: 978-0988902619), Karl Kim, CFP, CLTC; each year thousands of people are thrust into a "care crisis" when a family member or loved one needs long-term care. The challenge is not only finding the right nursing home; what can be even more challenging is figuring out how to pay for the care - and how to minimize possible damage to the rest of the family.

"That information isn't easy to find," says retirement crisis planner Karl Kim, CFP, CLTC. "Every year I speak with hundreds of adult children and their parents who have gotten bad advice, or who don't know where to turn for answers. That's the reason I wrote 'Don't Go Broke Paying the Nursing Home.' Now every Californian can understand what needs to be done to protect their home, cash and retirement accounts."

Karl Kim's book is an easy-to-read quick reference guide. It provides answers in simple language to common questions such as:

* What information do you need to provide to Medi-Cal?
* Do you need an attorney to submit the application?
* What is the maximum amount a person or couple can have to qualify for Medi-Cal?
* What is the difference between Medicare, Medicaid and Medi-Cal?
* Which assets count and which don't?
* What is the maximum amount of income a person can have and still qualify?
* When does someone apply?
* How long does the application process take?
* Do you have to be broke to qualify for Medi-Cal?

"Don't Go Broke Paying the Nursing Home" (ISBN: 978-0988902619) explains Medi-Cal Recovery procedures.

"Most people don't realize Medi-Cal is effectively a loan from the State of California," explains Kim. "If proper steps aren't taken, the state will place a claim against the home and other assets."

California's regulations covering the aging population can be difficult to keep up with. That becomes apparent in a care crisis - when what a family has "done wrong" can come back to bite them - financially and logistically.

The book is available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon: http://amzn.com/0988902613 .

Leading Environmentalist Links Climate Change Solutions to The Trust Frequency Concept in Paradigm-Shifting New Book

Author: Cameron/Baxter Books
Dateline: Aspen, Colorado (ASPEN, Colo.)  | Mon, 25 Mar 2013

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Cameron/Baxter Books announces the worldwide launch of the paradigm-shifting book 'THE TRUST FREQUENCY: 10 Assumptions for a New Paradigm' (ISBN: 978-098874713) at Explore Booksellers in Aspen, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. Sally A. A R T I C L E:

Cameron/Baxter Books announces the worldwide launch of the paradigm-shifting book "THE TRUST FREQUENCY: 10 Assumptions for a New Paradigm" (ISBN: 978-098874713) at Explore Booksellers in Aspen, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. Sally A. Ranney, visionary environmental leader and author of the foreword to the book, will speak on the need for fundamental, whole-systems change to enable global-level collaboration for solving climate change, the most far-reaching crisis in human history. Co-authors Connie Baxter Marlow and Andrew Cameron Bailey will discuss the paradigm they present in the book at this celebration and book signing.

Ranney has thirty years of experience within the private and public sectors dedicated to environmental, water and energy policy; sustainability; biodiversity and wildlife protection; and public land management and environmental consulting. She is President of the American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI) and Co-Director of the International Women's Earth and Climate Initiative (IWECI). Taking a whole systems approach, Sally has advised business leaders at some of the world's largest companies on improving their environmental practices and performances by incorporating these considerations into company decisions. She has worked directly with three U.S. Presidents as well as leading environmental luminaries like Richard Branson, Ted Turner and Al Gore.

"Climate change has, unambiguously, put humanity on notice that we are on the cusp of great change, of making a critical choice about ourselves. Only collaboration at the global level will solve climate change, because it affects all human and natural systems. Nothing and no one will escape. This high level of collaboration can only take place if we let go of the tenets of the existing paradigm," states Ranney in the foreword to "The Trust Frequency."

Aspen, Colorado has been home to many world change agents over the decades. As Aspen's premier book store, Explore Booksellers hosts the nation's leading authors, scientists and social commentators, from today's bestsellers and Pulitzer Prize winners to world leaders and renowned experts in their fields. Marlow, Bailey and Ranney take their place on the world stage with a new vision of the nature of reality with a bold theory of humanity's place in a conscious loving universe; how examining and upgrading our belief system will change everything from education to business practices to climate change solutions, resulting in a currently unimaginable level of abundance and happiness.

Marlow and Bailey, filmmakers and social philosophers who have been sharing their ideas at universities and symposia throughout the country for decades, call their new paradigm "a synthesis of quantum science, Eastern mysticism, indigenous cosmology and intuitive knowing." Coming from divergent life experiences, they have reached similar conclusions: the prevailing paradigm is missing important information about the nature of reality, and this has resulted in a world out of balance. They challenge a number of basic assumptions which have driven humanity's behavior for millennia and offer a new paradigm for consideration.

The three authors are Colorado-based and currently live in the Roaring Fork Valley, outside Aspen.

The book "THE TRUST FREQUENCY: Ten Assumptions for a New Paradigm" can be obtained online at www.TheTrustFrequency.net and at Amazon ( http://amzn.com/0988754711 ), Barnes & Noble, Apple iBooks, and all electronic platforms.

A R T I C L E:

Today, Publishers Newswire (PNW), an online resource established in 2004 for small publishers, as well as lesser known and first-time book authors, has announced its latest semi-annual "Books to Bookmark" list. This is a round-up of 10 new and recent books from Q4/2012 and Q1/2013 which may have been missed due to not originating from major New York book publishing houses, or "big name" writers.

"Probably the most interesting thing we've seen this past year, is the further explosion in self-published titles. From convicted felons, to first-time mystery ghost story authors, to children's picture books, the fountain of creativity is really amazing," said PNW editor Christopher Simmons. PNW's Simmons has been a working journalist for over 30 years, and has written widely on the topic of publishing, marketing, and e-books. He is also the author of a self-published book on digital artwork.

The following list of 10 books (in alphabetical order) are provided as "worth a look" for media and booksellers, as well as avid readers of new and unique literary content. To learn more about these and other books (and e-books) in detail, visit: http://www.publishersnewswire.com/ .

* FAMILY TIEZ.

Author Mustafaa As-Salafi's "Family Tiez" (ISBN: 978-0976224310; paperback; Level V Publishing) is the fictional story of a Muslim family's struggle to stay together through the trials of the urban drug culture: addiction, drug dealing, dirty cops, prison, and murder; as told by someone who has walked several miles in each character's shoes. "Family Tiez" has been an underground, nationwide, best selling novel that chronicles the story of a large-scale, illegal drug distribution enterprise in the Tri-State area. Now, re-released in eBook formats, including Kindle and iBooks. "Family Tiez" is close to, but way more than what the media and law enforcement have characterized it as: it is life imitating art. The author invites readers to witness "Family Tiez" for themselves.

On December 16, 2008, The News Journal, Wilmington, Delaware's largest local newspaper, ran a cover story with headline: Urban fiction author pleads guilty to drug trafficking: 10 counts could get the Wilmington man life in prison. This story was about Mustafaa. The July 2008 arrest of Mustafaa was carried by various media outlets across the country, including USA Today. Mustafaa did not receive a life sentence; he is expected to be home soon.

* HAVING A WHALEY OF A TIME.

In the new book, "Having a Whaley of a Time" (ISBN: 978-0578104836; paperback; 94pp; DKeeley Press), author and publisher Donna Keeley uses the history and "documented ghosts" from the Whaley House in San Diego, Calif. to weave an enjoyable, fictional mystery with real facts. "I wanted to do something different with the mystery genre," says Keeley. "By pairing a fictional story with a real, haunted location I can fulfill my love of research with the fun of writing."

Each book in the new Paranormal Mystery series features a real haunted location as the backdrop for each mystery. The ghosts documented at these locations become characters in the book and help the fictional main character Shannon MacIntyre solve her mystery. Kindle edition also available.

* HEALTHY HANNAH'S FITNESS FABLES: A PROMISE TO YOURSELF.

A new book, "Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables: A Promise to Yourself" (ISBN: 978-0-9852773-0-7; KidsProsper Publishing) pairs father-daughter authors in the fight against childhood obesity. The characters in "Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables" guide children on a healthy rhyming adventure about exercise and nutrition. Through playful and entertaining illustrations, one by one, Healthy Hannah, Maxwell Muscle, Low-Fat Larry, and Aerobic Annie delight in a healthy and fun journey from birth through adulthood. It is illustrated by a former personal trainer, Joe Romano II.

"Childhood obesity is a problem that requires multi-pronged efforts," says Jay England, co-author. "We have to stay on top of the issue and the earlier you introduce healthy habits to children, the more likely they will practice healthy habits and engage in fitness as they grow older."

* LITTLE GREEN.

In the new children's book "Little Green" (ISBN: 9780981587974; Paraphrase, LLC) by author Arnold Rudnick, readers discover an important message and question to consider: Isn't it possible? Released in "Fraugust 2012" by independent publisher Paraphrase, LLC, "Little Green" is a picture-book for 2-7 year olds written by Rudnick, with illustrations by Marcelo Gorenman, featuring a little green frog on a quest to be special.

"It's about time we admit that not everything is possible," said Rudnick. "For too long, movies and books have pretended anything is possible, but kids are smart and know that's not true. Messages that are meant to motivate quickly become empty platitudes. However, ALMOST anything IS possible! This simple, honest qualification offers a more powerful message and an inspirational lesson for everyone."

* LONG JOURNEY WITH MR. JEFFERSON.

The magisterial "collaboration" over half a lifetime between historian Dumas Malone and his subject, Thomas Jefferson, is the basis for William G. Hyland Jr.'s compelling "Long Journey with Mr. Jefferson" (ISBN: 978-1612341972; clothbound; 328pp; Potomac Books). Malone, the courtly and genteel historian from Mississippi, spent 38 years researching and writing the definitive biography of the man who "invented the United States of America." Offering much more than most biographies, this book imparts extensive insights into Malone's earlier years in Mississippi and Georgia, and how they shaped his character. Through interviews with his intimates, family members, rivals, and subordinates, Hyland generates a true portrait of the man behind the intellect and the myth.

* MURDER AND MISUNDERSTANDING; ONE MAN'S ESCAPE FROM INSANITY.

The new autobiography by author Shuvender Sem, "Murder and Misunderstanding; One Man's Escape from Insanity" (ISBN-13: 978-1479256969; paperback; 200pp; CreateSpace) is the story of Sem, who on March 1, 2004 became known as "The Maharishi Murderer." In one moment Sem was a college student. In the next he was "The Maharishi Murderer." Shuvender killed freshman Levi Butler without provocation on the campus by stabbing him four times in the chest with a paring knife. Deemed competent to stand trial, the judge ruled he was "not guilty by reason of insanity" at the request of both the defense and the prosecution.

Against popular belief, NGRI is an extremely rare plea, used in less than one percent of criminal cases. A not guilty result is even more uncommon, occurring just one-quarter of one percent of the time. Now, after years of psychotropic medications and intense therapy, Shuvender is telling his story of schizophrenia in his autobiography. The book is available in paperback; as well as Kindle, iPad and Nook digital editions.

* ON MY FEET AGAIN: MY JOURNEY OUT OF THE WHEELCHAIR USING NEUROTECHNOLOGY.

In her new book, "On My Feet Again: My Journey Out of the Wheelchair Using Neurotechnology" (ISBN: 978-0988234208; paperback; 176pp; Neurotech Press), author Jennifer French, a quadriplegic and competitive sailing athlete who recently medalled at the 2012 Paralympics Games in London, tells her inspiring and intellectually stimulating story of how a determined and resourceful young woman overcame many of the obstacles that came her way after being paralyzed in a snowboarding accident. Although told she would never get out of her wheelchair, Jennifer refused to accept that fate and sought out experimental new technologies for people with spinal cord injuries.

French became a participant in a clinical trial of a neuroprosthetic system that enables her to stand up out of her wheelchair and move around on her own two feet using her own muscles, which are stimulated by 24 surgically implanted electrodes. Along the way, she helped advance the technology by working with the research team to test new features, push the limits of her strength and endurance, and prove the viability of this new therapy for thousands of other potential recipients-including injured soldiers returning from war. The book is also available in e-book format.

* SO YOU WANT TO BE A LANDLORD: TALES FROM THE CRYPT.

DJV Murphy considered the current market conditions as the backdrop to his latest book "So You Want To Be A Landlord: Tales From The Crypt" (ISBN-13: 978-1461087014; paperback). He ventures there is no bad time to invest in property. He calls it a humorous "how to" book about getting in the game of investment real estate but also offers a serious slant of avoiding the pitfalls of being a landlord. "This is not for the big hitters in the real estate investment field," Murphy said, "but it is written with small town 'Donald Trumps' in mind."

The 100 plus page book combines humor with technical information about how to succeed being a landlord and is illustrated with cartoons depicting the pitfalls and successes of owning investment real estate. The illustrator is B.J. Nartker a leading artist from California, who provided the visuals to the book. Murphy chose the illustration themes and cut lines with Nartker interpreting them as cartoons. The book is also available as a Kindle edition.

* THE CHINESE ORIGIN OF THE AGE OF DISCOVERY.

In the new book "The Chinese Origin of the Age of Discovery" (ISBN: 978-1-62141-693-7; 300pp; Diogenes Research; Booklocker.com), veteran Researcher Chao C. Chien has meticulously collected and analyzed the records preserved from the previously rarely examined history of the Age of Discovery and the results are conclusive. Did the Chinese precede Christopher Columbus in discovering America? The question now has been settled once and for all.

* THE INDIE AUTHOR REVOLUTION: AN INSIDER'S GUIDE TO SELF-PUBLISHING.

In indie author mentor Dara Beevas' new book, "The Indie Author Revolution: An Insider's Guide to Self-Publishing" (ISBN 978-1-59298-504-3; paperback, 296pp; Beaver's Pond Press), the author believes indie authors will push the publishing industry to evolve. "Legacy publishing isn't the right answer for every author, and that's a good thing," she says. "Indie authors are known for catering to niche audiences overlooked by big publishers.

They're also attracting new readers through the sales of e-books." A writer, editor, blogger, and speaker, Beevas is vice president of award-winning Beaver's Pond Press, where she has led hundreds of indie authors through the publishing process. Her passion for the self-publishing movement also led her to launch Wise Ink, an online support community for authors. Also available in e-book formats.

What Happened to Gallaher’s Money?

Author: DJV Murphy
Dateline: Califon, New Jersey (CALIFON, N.J.)  | Tue, 26 Feb 2013

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Author DJV Murphy believes he may have uncovered a long lost mystery about a sizable estate left to the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. In doing research for the biography 'Who Was E. B. Gallaher?' (ISBN: 978-1480043770), Murphy discovered that a bequest left by the Connecticut millionaire to the Institute for the development of a research center was never carried out.”

A R T I C L E:

Author DJV Murphy believes he may have uncovered a long lost mystery about a sizable estate left to the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. In doing research for the biography "Who Was E. B. Gallaher?" (ISBN: 978-1480043770), Murphy discovered that a bequest left by the Connecticut millionaire to the Institute for the development of a research center was never carried out.

Murphy interviewed a number of the Institute's staff and none were able to pinpoint what happened to the bequest nor why the Institute failed to create the research center in Norwalk.

"Gallaher died in 1953 and with his wife were the sole stockholders in a Norwalk, Connecticut based manufacturing company," says Murphy. "His will directed that his entire estate be left to Stevens following his wife's death in 1965. However it seems as if the $25 million estate in today's dollars was not used to carry out his special bequest."

The bequest included his 10,000 square foot mansion in Norwalk situated on 227 acres of prime real estate, as well as his stock in the Clover Manufacturing Company, plus a sizable amount of liquid assets.

"The property was sold to the City of Norwalk by Stevens Institute in 1965 and was turned into open space called Cranbury Park. The Institute took over operations of Gallaher's business, The Clover Manufacturing Company, for a few years following receipt of the bequest and then sold it. It is now part of the Henkel Corporation," said Murphy.

Gallaher was an entrepreneur, inventor, and business mogul who was born to American parents in Paris in 1873 and educated in the United States. He graduated from the Institute in 1894 and soon began inventing a number of mechanical devices. He founded the Keystone Automobile Company in Philadelphia in 1897, and headed a number of other business concerns in the years following.

Murphy said the subject of this biography was part of the early 20th Century business leadership in New York City and was friends with Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse, John Jacob Astor, and John D. Rockefeller among others.

Gallaher, in addition to his management of Clover, also published a newsletter called "The Clover Business Service," which promoted the right wing politics of the day. It was reported that the newsletter had a national circulation of 150,000 subscribers and was published between 1922 and 1953.

The biography follows the early life of Gallaher and highlights the numerous inventions of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. This period saw the development of electricity, the automobile, airplane, telephone, phonograph, elevator, motion pictures, and a host of other inventions.

"Who Was E. B. Gallaher?" is available in paperback and Kindle editions, through Amazon.com, libraries, and through the author's website at: www.bunkertreasures.com .

A R T I C L E:

It's a story that could only be written by one person. A compelling autobiography that not only pushes the boundaries of sanity, it takes readers on a frightening voyage to meet it face-to-face. "Murder and Misunderstanding; One Man's Escape from Insanity" (ISBN: 9781479256969) is the story of Shuvender Sem, who in 2004 became known as "The Maharishi Murderer."

The murder took place in Fairfield, Iowa, on the campus of a university that prided itself on non-violence. The Maharishi University of Management used a variety of techniques towards its non-violent goals including twice-daily use of Transcendental Meditation. It was to no small degree that this setting put the murder in the national spotlight.

In one moment Sem was a college student. In the next he was "The Maharishi Murderer." Shuvender killed freshman Levi Butler without provocation on the campus by stabbing him four times in the chest with a paring knife. The murder took place following an incident earlier in the day when Sem stabbed a student with a pen. That previous incident led to the student getting seven stitches to his face.

Now, after years of psychotropic medications and intense therapy, Shuvender is telling his story of schizophrenia in his autobiography, "Murder and Misunderstanding; One Man's Escape from Insanity." It is not only an extremely rare look into the mind of a killer from his own perspective, but it is also a deeply personal story that explores the darkest, most grim places of the mind.

"Our mental health system is broken. We need to fix this before more crimes are committed," says Sem.

In his book, Shuvender tells of his relationship with his father, and the events that led to that day on campus. He describes his struggle with, and eventual escape from this misunderstood illness. It is a story of recognition and realization. A story of redemption desired, and hope delivered. It is a book written to serve as a beacon for those with schizophrenia and their families, by a man who was held in its strongest grips, and managed to escape.

Shuvender Sem, or Shubi as he is known, now speaks publicly about his experience with schizophrenia in the hopes of helping others. He is available for presentations and Q&A sessions for law enforcement, mental health groups, attorney associations, academic institutions and others who may feel they can benefit from his story.

The self-told story of Shuvender Sem, "Murder and Misunderstanding; One Man's Escape from Insanity" is available at http://www.ShuvenderSem.com/ . The book is available in paperback; as well as Kindle, iPad and Nook digital editions.

Book, ‘Long Journey with Mr. Jefferson’ announced by Potomac Books

Dateline: Tampa, Florida (TAMPA, Fla.)  | Fri, 25 Jan 2013

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “The magisterial 'collaboration' over half a lifetime between historian Dumas Malone and his subject, Thomas Jefferson, is the basis for William G. Hyland Jr.'s compelling book, 'Long Journey with Mr. Jefferson' (ISBN: 9781612341972). A R T I C L E:

The magisterial "collaboration" over half a lifetime between historian Dumas Malone and his subject, Thomas Jefferson, is the basis for William G. Hyland Jr.'s compelling book, "Long Journey with Mr. Jefferson" (ISBN: 9781612341972; Potomac Books). Malone, the courtly and genteel historian from Mississippi, spent 38 years researching and writing the definitive biography of the man who "invented the United States of America."

Hyland provides a surprising portrait of the man many consider America's greatest historian, recording in detail Malone's struggle to finish his towering six-volume work on Jefferson through excruciating pain and then blindness at the age of eighty-three. Hyland includes Malone's previously unpublished correspondence with such notables as John F. Kennedy, Harry S. Truman, George H. W. Bush, Felix Frankfurter, and Fawn Brodie. Readers are treated to an exclusive look at private family documents and Malone's unfinished memoir, which reflects on history, social commentary, and his life's accomplishments.

Offering much more than most biographies, this book imparts extensive insights into Malone's earlier years in Mississippi and Georgia, and how they shaped his character. Through interviews with his intimates, family members, rivals, and subordinates, Hyland generates a true portrait of the man behind the intellect and the myth.

About The Author:

William G. Hyland Jr., a native of Virginia, is the author of "In Defense of Thomas Jefferson" (2009), nominated for the Virginia Literary Award, and a professor at Stetson University College of Law. He is a member of the Virginia and New York Historical Societies, serves on the board of directors of the Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society, and has lectured at the National Archives and for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He lives in Tampa, Florida.

Advance Praise for Long Journey with Mr. Jefferson:

"William Hyland has captured Dumas Malone as a warm and genial family man, a world-renowned scholar, and the world's greatest Jeffersonian authority and author. His description of his encounters with some of the brightest educators, political leaders, and journalists of his day is fascinating." - W. McKenzie Wallenborn, president, Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society.

New Book Outlines How to Make Money in This Economy

Author: DJV Murphy
Dateline: Califon, New Jersey (CALIFON, N.J.)  | Fri, 21 Dec 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “With the real estate market in flux and money for property investment tight as a drum, this might not be the best time to publish a book on property investment or on how to be a landlord. Author DJV Murphy considered the current market conditions as the backdrop to his latest book 'So You Want To Be A Landlord: Tales From The Crypt' (ISBN: 9781461087014).”

A R T I C L E:

With the real estate market in flux and money for property investment tight as a drum, this might not be the best time to publish a book on property investment or on how to be a landlord. Author DJV Murphy considered the current market conditions as the backdrop to his latest book "So You Want To Be A Landlord: Tales From The Crypt" (ISBN: 9781461087014).

In the book, Murphy writes there are many upsides to being a landlord and offers a number of suggestions on how to avoid the downsides.

He advises prospective or current landlords of the many pointers, other than avoiding taxes, which may help one succeed as a real estate investor and reaching objectives.

This is Murphy's sixth book after writing a number of award winning screenplays. The "Landlord" book is available through Amazon.com, local book stores and from the author who lives in New Jersey and owns Carpe Diem Art Gallery located on his farm.

The book is available in paperback and Kindle Edition.

DJV Murphy may be contacted through the website http://bunkertreasures.com/ .

New Underground Book ‘Family Tiez’ Goes Mainstream in eBook Format

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “On December 16, 2008, The News Journal, Wilmington, Delaware's largest local newspaper, ran a cover story with headline: Urban fiction author pleads guilty to drug trafficking: 10 counts could get the Wilmington man life in prison. This story was about Mustafaa As-Salafi, the author of 'Family Tiez' (ISBN: 978-0976224310 paperback; Level V Publishing), an underground, nationwide, bestselling novel that chronicles the story of a large-scale, illegal drug distribution enterprise in the Tri-State area.”

A R T I C L E:

On December 16, 2008, The News Journal, Wilmington, Delaware's largest local newspaper, ran a cover story with headline: Urban fiction author pleads guilty to drug trafficking: 10 counts could get the Wilmington man life in prison. This story was about Mustafaa As-Salafi, the author of "Family Tiez" (ISBN: 978-0976224310 paperback; Level V Publishing), an underground, nationwide, bestselling novel that chronicles the story of a large-scale, illegal drug distribution enterprise in the Tri-State area.

A fictional story that news and law enforcement sources said, "apparently was as much a documentary effort as one of creative writing."

"Family Tiez" will be re-released for purchase in eBook formats, including Kindle and iBooks, by Level V Publishing mid-December 2012. "Family Tiez" is close to, but way more than what the media and law enforcement have characterized it as: it is life imitating art. The author invites readers to witness "Family Tiez" for themselves. The July 2008 arrest of Mustafaa was carried by various media outlets across the country, including USA Today.

"Family Tiez" is the fictional story of a Muslim family's struggle to stay together through the trials of the urban drug culture: addiction, drug dealing, dirty cops, prison, and murder; as told by someone who has walked several miles in each character's shoes. Mustafaa did not receive a life sentence; he is expected to be home soon. Level V's upcoming releases include Mustafaa's "Family Tiez II: downward Departure," and Mustafaa's highly anticipated, mainstream hit, "Actual Innocence."

In early 2006, the Philadelphia Daily News and The News Journal both ran stories about urban fiction authors and Mustafaa was featured in both. Both stories, in essence, posed the question that since several authors, including Mustafaa, began writing from prison, would writing help curb recidivism by providing a viable avenue for authors to earn a living based on the popularity of urban literature?

Mustafaa is outspoken on curbing crime and reducing recidivism. He especially emphasizes reaching at-risk youths before their lives become rooted in "the system." He hopes to reach them through the intensive, residential program he has developed, entitled H.O.M.E. (Habilitate, Orient, Mentor, and Educate).

Healthy Hannah’s Picture Book Joins in the Fight Against Childhood Obesity

Author: KidsProsper Publishing
Dateline: Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS VEGAS, Nev.)  | Tue, 18 Dec 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “A new picture book, 'Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables: A Promise to Yourself' (ISBN: 978-0985277307) published by KidsProsper Publishing, pairs father-daughter authors Jay and Hannah England in the fight against childhood obesity.”

A R T I C L E:

A new picture book, "Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables: A Promise to Yourself" (ISBN: 978-0985277307) published by KidsProsper Publishing, pairs father-daughter authors Jay and Hannah England in the fight against childhood obesity.

"Childhood obesity is a problem that requires multi-pronged efforts," says Jay England, co-author. "We have to stay on top of the issue and the earlier you introduce healthy habits to children, the more likely they will practice healthy habits and engage in fitness as they grow older. Young minds are naturally curious and eager to learn new things. And, it's easy to begin. It's as simple as doing a basic clapping game or showing them pictures of different fruits and vegetables."

The Center for Disease Control estimates that there are currently 12.5 million children who are overweight or obese in America. So, the launch of "Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables" is not only timely, but badly needed. Children's fitness begins at home.

Jay believes that the best time to introduce fitness to children is right out of the womb.

Dr. Allen Marino, an emergency room physician in Las Vegas, agrees: "The great thing about this picture book is that it explains healthy habits in a way that children of all ages can understand. The rhyming story line starts as a baby and takes the reader all the way through adulthood, to show examples of fitness throughout the life cycle," Marino says.

Hannah England, Jay's daughter and co-author, believes that learning healthy habits is a process.

"No one should be in a hurry or expect too much too soon," she says. "For instance, I always wanted sugary soda with dinner when we ate out. However, after some light-hearted persuasion from my dad, over time, I drank less soda and eventually replaced it with water. If my dad had forced the issue, I may have rebelled and kept on drinking soda."

"Healthy Hannah's Fitness Fables" is 38 pages and currently available in hardcover; an e-book is in the works. It is illustrated by a former personal trainer, Joe Romano II.

"Joe's illustrations really helped bring the characters' anatomy and exercise portions of the book to life," Jay says.

The authors can be reached at: JayandHannah@Healthy-Hannah.org. The book can be found on: http://www.Healthy-Hannah.org/ or Amazon.com.

About the Authors:

For more than 15 years, Jay England has worked as a personal trainer. As a kid growing up in Palm Springs, Calif., he stayed fit by chasing desert iguanas with his dog. He served eight years in the U.S. Navy and has degrees in business and kinesiology.

Hannah England is a hardworking student and plays school sports. She lives with her dad in Las Vegas and enjoys working out with him.
