New Disk Drill 5: up to 30% higher data restoration, RAID recovery, and new photo and video file format support

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- CleverFiles announces the release of the new major version of Disk Drill for Mac and Windows. Disk Drill 5 introduces a new modular user interface, recovery from Windows and Linux software RAID arrays, VHD and VHDX support, and adds new file formats to its Deep Scan resulting in up to 30% higher data restoration success rates.

Mac users will also enjoy full compatibility with macOS Ventura and data recovery from iPhones, iPads running the latest iOS and iPadOS 16, as well as their local backups as recovery sources.

The new version of Disk Drill Data Recovery introduces numerous usability and under-the-hood enhancements to deliver the best data recovery experience and results. With just a few clicks, Disk Drill 5 can start a deleted files scan of your computer's internal or external drive, connected mobile devices, memory cards, digital cameras, and more.

Previously, it wasn't possible to recover data directly from RAID arrays using Disk Drill, but that changed with the release of the new version, which introduces data recovery from Windows and Linux software RAID arrays. Moreover, the new Disk Drill 5 can now mount, scan, and recover data from virtual hard disk drives saved as VHD and VHDX files.

The new Disk Drill 5 now restores up to 30% more data. Disk Drill 5 recognizes over 40 new file formats for musicians, photographers, designers, video producers, and other professionals - Google Pixel Motion Photos, Insta360, Canon raw images, True Motion, RED Cinema videos, XD, XMIND, and many more. Depending on your recovery case, on an average scan, Disk Drill finds up to 30% more lost files.

With the new recovery chance prediction feature in the Mac version, users can see how well the data will be restored with intuitive labeling that indicates high, medium, or low chances of recovering found files. It's now easier to manage recoverable data with the new file labeling, advanced filters, sorting, and improved preview.

Meanwhile, Windows users enjoy up to 8x faster scans for lost data. The new Disk Drill 5 scans the devices faster than before, including damaged and slow drives, thanks to multiple internal enhancements without sacrificing the quality of the found data.

Intuitive enough for casual users and more than capable of delivering professional-grade results, the latest version of Disk Drill for Mac and Windows is a great first aid toolset to quickly address data loss situations, regardless of how serious they may seem.

CleverFiles Becomes the First Company to Offer Software Licenses as NFTs

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs for short, have already enabled many innovative use cases, from digital collectibles to private membership experiences. Today, CleverFiles, a software company based in Alexandria, VA, announced its collection of 100 full-featured transferable lifetime licenses for its world-famous data recovery software, Disk Drill, sold as NFTs on OpenSea.

CleverFiles is the first software developer in the world to explore this pioneering NFT use case, which could revolutionize how software licenses are distributed, stored, and authenticated. The collection, called Disk Drill - Essential Data Recovery, is available for purchase on OpenSea, the first and largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and NFTs.

Each of the 100 full-featured lifetime licenses costs the equivalent of $79 in USD Coin, a digital stablecoin that is pegged to the United States dollar to maintain a stable value. In comparison, a standard Disk Drill PRO license costs $89, while the lifetime one is $118, making the NFT licenses more than 30% cheaper. What's more, all NFT licenses can be used to unlock both the Mac and Windows version of Disk Drill.

Besides being more affordable, NFT licenses for Disk Drill offer several attractive benefits thanks to the underlying blockchain technology:

* They can be easily resold or transferred as unique gifts.

* Only a cryptocurrency wallet address is required to purchase a license.

* Each license comes with a unique piece of NFT art that provides additional value as an attractive digital collectible.

* To maintain proper price and gas estimates, the collection exists and is sold on Polygon.

* There are more than 10 traits in the Disk Drill's NFT collection.

Despite taking advantage of some of the most innovative technologies in the world, the NFT licenses are just as easy to use as regular ones, requiring no technical knowledge besides the ability to maintain a cryptocurrency wallet.

To see the entire collection of 100 full-featured transferable lifetime NFT licenses for Disk Drill PRO, visit this OpenSea collection.

About NFTs

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are units of data stored on a blockchain, a decentralized database that makes it possible for transactions to be organized without a central authority. NFTs are not mutually interchangeable, which makes it possible for them to uniquely identify digital files such as photos, videos, audio, or text.

NFT-craze continues: the first NFT house on the Moon is up for sale for $100,000

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Today, Roman Kropachek, co-founder of CleverFiles, serial IT entrepreneur, has announced the bid for the first ever NFT house on the Moon. The project has been in development by the team of architects and 3D visual artists with a total of over 1500 hours invested in its design, and turned into a viable plan for construction, including a detailed 3D map, interior and exterior visualization and planning. The bid starts at $100,000 equivalent in Ether and is available for purchase at Open Sea.

Should the house be sold for more than $100,000, the rest of the proceeds made from the 3D digital file will head to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation to inspire the next generation of innovators and pioneers through technology, engineering, and mathematics programs.

"Experimenting and taking risks is an integral part of my entrepreneurial DNA. I've always wanted to create some unconventional products, and with the development of the NFT-art, the opportunity presents itself. The team and I have spent over 1500 hours in total working on it and it actually became a viable plan of the house, with its interior and exterior design, room layout, materials to be used and so much more. The buyer will not only get the originals of the digital files, but also a daytrip on my yacht in Miami as a bonus," says Roman Kropachek.

The Moon house is not the only thing to be sold as an NFT art by Kropachek. Another perfect imperfection to be auctioned, is a series of corrupted images called "Stunning Fragmentation" that were created during the data recovery with Disk Drill. The series consists of 6 images, each of them to be auctioned for $50,000 equivalent in Ether at Open Sea.

CleverFiles lab's data recovery attempts sometimes result in distorted photos. It can be considered as both: accident and art. In some cases, Disk Drill's internal algorithms and macOS file system procedures may come up with something random, unique and beautiful at the same time. File fragmentation, unpredictable internal code labyrinths, combined with version compatibility mismatch, and corrupted data storage trick Disk Drill's Deep Scan and macOS Quick Look into creating distinct art effects when reconstructing partially recovered TIFF images. One of the examples is the Star Wars wallpaper that was previously stored on macOS 11 Big Sur, turned into a corrupted file and an NFT artwork.

Both offers are available at Open Sea, the world's largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The New Disk Drill 4.3 for Mac Includes Native Apple M1 Chip Support

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- CleverFiles announces the release of their latest update of Disk Drill for Mac. Now the new Disk Drill 4.3 natively deep-scans system drives on Macs powered by Apple's M1 chips without compromising on speed and efficiency of the recovery process.

To achieve the required level of decryption and access, Disk Drill deploys its own kernel extension, known as kext. With a number of system-level and administrator's approvals, this enables Disk Drill to securely search for lost data in all user folders and system locations on the internal drives in macOS Big Sur on M1 Macs.

"Our team has been developing system-level utilities for Macs since 2009. We've been improving Disk Drill for many years to ensure the maximum possible recovery rates, and we are extremely proud to be the first on the market to announce a full support of scanning and recovery from system partitions on Macs powered by Apple M1 chips," says Serge S., the CEO at CleverFiles.

Disk Drill stands out in comparison to other data recovery apps for macOS, as it's the first app to run a native Deep Scan of system drives on Macs powered by Apple's M1 chips. Disk Drill is the only available solution to recover deleted user folders on M1 Macs, unlike other data recovery apps that can't access and scan system locations.

Unlike other apps that run through a compatibility layer of Rosetta, Disk Drill is faster, more efficient, and fully compatible with the newest M1 chips. The same refers to SIP-protected external storage devices connected to M1 Macs - Disk Drill 4.3 is the only app out there that can scan and recover from them.

Recovering lost data from external drives is generally easier than scanning and restoring deleted files from internal or system drives on Macs. This is determined by the level of encryption macOS maintains to ensure its security protocols, including the M1 layer on the newest Mac devices. Disk Drill can find and undelete an accidental removal of user data on the main system drive, like the default Documents, Downloads, Applications and other familiar user folders.

About Disk Drill

Disk Drill can scan and recover over 400 various file types with a press of a single button, right from the computer's internal or external drive, or any supported storage device. Files can be recovered in the original form, or reconstructed byte-by-byte in the event when the file system no longer contains their names or properties.

For fast, reliable file recovery Disk Drill comes with advanced scanning algorithms to identify and reconstruct deleted files in various formats, including the new raw photo, video and audio formats. Updated HFS+, APFS, exFAT, FAT32, and NTFS recovery algorithms, powered by Disk Drill's smart scans, find more recoverable files, which allows for an improved (up to a 200%) recovery efficiency.

Disk Drill can successfully recover lost and deleted data from a computer's internal disk as well as external drives, mobile devices, memory cards, digital cameras, and more. Accidentally deleted files can be easily retrieved with the Quick Scan.

For best recovery results, Disk Drill performs a Deep Scan, a thorough search on the entire drive to reconstruct lost files. In fact, the sequence of algorithms Disk Drill runs in the background is much more complicated than that, and is always adapted to a specific use case, ensuring the best recovery results for one's file system, storage device condition, and other parameters.

Deep Scan is one of the most advanced Disk Drill's recovery algorithms. It works even when hard drives lose their partitions and disk space is marked as unallocated. This Disk Drill release also concentrates on raw photos and videos, and substantially improves their recovery in many ways.
