AutoAwards Shares Tips to Boost F&I Sales Through An Auto Dealership Maintenance Program (PPM)

ODESSA, Del. -- AutoAwards, a leader in loyalty marketing for auto dealerships, realizes sales are extremely competitive and difficult at times. Starting a rewards program can help auto dealerships overcome weak sales. AutoAwards has proven solutions to help dealerships increase sales performance across all departments. With AutoAwards' 30+ years of experience implementing rewards and Prepaid Maintenance programs for dealerships, we have a proven track record of boosting Finance & Insurance (F&I) sales.

All too often, F&I is left out when it comes to dealership loyalty programs. Within some dealerships, there is a distinct separation between the sales department, service department, and F&I. Their goals can even seem at odds with each other at times. That division is both unnecessary and counterproductive. With AutoAwards, the auto dealership rewards program increases sales activities across all departments.

Why Start a Loyalty Rewards Program?

A rewards program helps auto dealerships gain new customers and keep existing customers happy. A rewards program assists dealerships by creating multichannel loyalty. A customer earns rewards to use towards gift certificates, discounts on services and parts and free car washes or tire rotations. The benefits of starting a rewards program include building loyalty with customers, encouraging brand recognition and including the community.

Why Start a Dealership Prepaid Maintenance Program

A prepaid maintenance program for dealerships provides an advantage over competitors with customer retention. Vehicle owners pre-buy the program to get regular maintenance for their vehicle. A Prepaid Maintenance Program keeps customers coming back to the dealership through the service department. The key benefit of a Prepaid Maintenance program is to establish a long-term connection with the customer.

Additional benefits for customers include:

* Keeping a routine with regularly scheduled maintenance
* Planning to get service to avoid serious issues with their vehicle
* Getting a discounted plan to save money

When combined with a rewards program, the customer earns points nearly every time they visit. AutoAwards helps dealerships develop custom dealership maintenance programs that F&I can sell and award customers with bonus points.

A rewards program will help your dealership to:
* Close deals
* Lock in vehicle maintenance and service with customers
* Drive new sales
* Generate F&I profits

AutoAwards Helps Dealerships Stand Out From the Competition

One of the leaders in loyalty marketing is AutoAwards. That is due not only to offering an amazing customer-branded auto rewards loyalty program, but also its focus on integrating all departments in the process, including F&I. AutoAwards' created an auto dealership rewards program with territory exclusivity and a "Keep It Local" program that also helps the dealership stand out from its competitors.

"'Why would a customer buy from me vs. my competition?' If the auto dealership doesn't have an answer, it is time to think about starting a dealership branded rewards program that will close deals, lock in your customers to service, drive conquest sales and generate substantial F&I profits," said Jon Greene, Vice President of Operations at AutoAwards.

With AutoAwards' auto dealership loyalty rewards and Prepaid Maintenance program, a culture of greater cooperation between departments drives sales for your dealership. Contact AutoAwards at (302) 696-6000 or fill out our form to talk with one of our auto dealership loyalty marketing consultants.

RYPOS ULETRU Filters Successfully Applied to Carrier and Thermoking Seven-year Engine Transportation Refrigeration Unit Models

FRANKLIN, Mass. -- RYPOS, Inc., developer, and manufacturer of advanced, exhaust filtration systems is pleased to announce the successful completion of the application engineering effort to fit their standard Ultra Low Emission Transport Refrigeration Unit Filter system to the CarrierX4 and Thermoking C650 series refrigeration units. These models use a less than 25 horsepower engine that has a seven-year emission compliance life in California. The application of the Rypos filter will extend their compliance to the end of life.

The DPF systems, which are verified to the Level 3+ reduction standard by the California Air Resources Board, and have been operated extensively within the refrigerated trailer fleets in California have recently been retested after years of field use by an independent lab and found to be fully emission compliant.

The Rypos Active DPF is a filter that traps and burns soot reducing particulate matter emissions by more than 85 percent. Unlike other particulate filter technologies, the Rypos system is self-monitoring and completely autonomous, ensuring that the filter is continuously clean and able to accept the full exhaust load of the engine in any operating conditions and at any time.

"This important milestone validates the systems original design premise, that it would be an end of a life compliance solution for the Tier IV interim and less than 25 horsepower engines powering the majority of the installed base," said Peter Bransfield, RYPOS' CEO.

About Rypos:

RYPOS (www.rypos.com/) is a privately held company with operations in Franklin, Massachusetts. They have designed and developed a number of leading-edge diesel exhaust filtration products for small and large engines that utilize their patented electrical regeneration strategy and technology.

Why Low Balance Letters Are Not Working for Automotive Lenders

MIAMI, Fla. -- South Florida-based AI Fintech company Aclaro, whose mission is to deliver data transparency and personalized insights to its auto lending clients, has developed an innovative, technologically advanced method of increasing borrower retention rates. Instead of sending out thousands of low balance letters with the hope that customers will open these letters and follow up with the lender, Aclaro has made the process much simpler and easier.

Ultimately, with Aclaro, auto lenders can forego the low balance letter and leverage Aclaro's innovative software to increase their retention rates.

Inefficiencies in the Auto Lending Space

The auto lending industry-like many other industries-contains certain business practices that are strictly followed even though they aren't the most efficient or most profitable practices. Inertia takes over. The legendary Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, a pioneer of computer programming used to say that the most dangerous phrase in the language is, "We've always done it this way."

One commonly-held practice in the auto lending industry can be seen by the vast number of subprime lenders who send these so-called low balance letters at the end of the loan term. These letters invite borrowers to either extend their loans or purchase a new vehicle. Although it may appear to require less work, sending these notices through the mail is an inefficient and ineffective way to generate more business or build closer relationships with borrowers.

These low balance letters are intended to address customer retention, which is a mission-critical task in auto lending. The general principle holds that it is much cheaper to obtain business from a current customer than generate business from a new customer. In fact, a rule of thumb is that it costs five times as much to attract a new customer than keep an existing one.

While sending letters to borrowers at the end of the loan term is a step in the right direction, but it is an archaic and inefficient way of finding repeat business. This marketing strategy might appear cheap since the only up-front costs are postage and printing costs. However, this cheap strategy often leads to unsatisfactory and costly results.

An auto lender's follow-up letter is essentially fighting and often lost within every other piece of mail in a borrower's mailbox. More so, even if the borrower opens the letter, lenders have no way of knowing whether the borrower immediately tossed the letter out or took some time to contemplate a call to that financial institution.

Also, lenders are sending the same generic notice or follow-up to each of their borrowers. While this may seem more efficient on a larger scale, not every borrower is the same. They have their own needs and wants, and by sending them a mass mailer, lenders are foregoing a chance to treat each borrower as an individual.

Using Aclaro To Increase Borrower Retention

"We are living in a world where the use of digital technologies is almost a prerequisite for business success. And while the auto lending industry does use technology for things like evaluating the risk within their portfolios, lenders are missing out on massive opportunities to use these technologies to increase customer retention," said Carlos Galarce, CEO of Aclaro.

This is where Aclaro comes in. The company noticed these inefficiencies in the auto lending market and developed a platform to correct them by offering the first and only machine learning system for subprime lenders.

As part of this system, Aclaro predicts risk and helps lenders complete the loan lead life cycle to help increase their customer retention rate. From Aclaro's Nexus Score to the new Aclaro AutoMarket, their many tools have been built to help subprime lenders consistently generate business from their current customers. Instead of sending out a mass mailer and hoping for positive responses, auto lenders can use the alternative data developed by Aclaro to present compelling, personalized offers to current borrowers. This intense customization undoubtedly increases the odds of making further sales to those current borrowers. In addition, lenders who utilize Aclaro's ES software can offer lower rates to those borrowers who qualify via a machine-predicted low propensity of default-even though this lower risk is not indicated in the traditional credit score.

Moving Beyond Letters

"To put it simply, the customer retention rate is an important key performance indicator (KPI) in the auto loan market, yet it is often overlooked and undervalued," said Galarce. "While a lender may think that letters are the best way to generate new business from current borrowers, letters are archaic and inefficient."

Instead, there is a better way. Auto lenders who apply the tools offered by Aclaro can leverage cutting-edge technology that is designed to address this specific task. In the end, lenders using Aclaro are in a much better position to increase their number of returning borrowers.

Michael Towner and Iconic Legacy Announces Free Sign-Up for the California Imagine No Hunger License Plate to Celebrate Hunger Action Month and John Lennon’s 79th Birthday

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- To celebrate Hunger Action Month and the upcoming 79th birthday of John Lennon, Michael Towner of Iconic Legacy has announced that the effort to create the "Imagine No Hunger" special license plate in California is nearing the deadline and in order to insure the requisite 7,500 registrations are submitted to the DMV prior to the January deadline, the opportunity to sign up FOR FREE is now available online at https://californiaimagine.com. Subsequent renewals will cost $40.

Every day in California, nearly 1 in 8 households face food insecurity. For the 6.5 million Californians struggling with food insecurity, hard choices must be made between buying food and meeting such basic needs as housing, medicine, transportation, or childcare.

Yoko Ono Lennon has kindly authorized the use of the iconic self-portrait image of John Lennon to help the California Association of Food Banks in their ongoing fight to end hunger in California and has stated: "Imagine is a great word to spread around and I was happy to do this because it is helping a very important charity."

The California Department of Social Services has sponsored the application. https://www.cdss.ca.gov/

Michael Towner states: "The 'Imagine' license plate in Florida has already raised over $4 million dollars for programs to help end hunger in Florida." The member food banks of Feeding Florida provide food to the 3.3 million Floridians facing hunger, including 1.1 million children and 700,000 seniors and the license plate can be purchased online at https://www.imaginefeedingflorida.com/order.html."

He adds, "It is estimated that hunger in California could be eliminated with an investment of $300-500 million dollars annually. So, if 10 million California drivers purchased the 'Imagine No Hunger' specialty plate - hunger would be eliminated from the state!"

Food banks play a critical role in California's food safety net, reaching over two million people in need annually, including children, seniors, the working poor, disabled, homeless and veterans. Using creativity and innovation, along with careful stewardship of resources, food banks in California have developed models of food procurement, food distribution, and nutrition education that are replicated nationally.

"Every person driving behind someone with an Imagine license plate will know that person is leading the way to a California absent from hunger," states Mark Lowry, Director, CAPOC's Orange County Food Bank (www.capoc.org).

Michael Towner, CEO of Iconic Legacy and program manager for the national Imagine specialty license plate program, states, "This offer is not available for anyone who has already signed up for the 'Imagine No Hunger' pre-sell and is limited to California vehicle owners. You can sign up all your vehicles. The issuance of the 'Imagine No Hunger' special plate is subject to the completion of the 7,500 pre-registration and submission of the requisite funds to the DMV. So, we need your help now."

Please go to https://californiaimagine.com/freeplate/, and sign up for free to help end hunger in California, one plate at a time.

Phone Ninjas Can Triple Appointment Setting Rates for U.S. Automotive Businesses

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Phone Ninjas, a certified phone coaching company, analyzes inbound sales, outbound sales, parts and service calls for car dealers. In some cases, its advanced phone and Internet training has increased appointment setting to nearly 86 percent.

"That's a rate practically unheard of in the industry," Chris Vitale, vice president, Phone Ninjas, says. "Our goal is to help businesses build better customer relations and to boost sales."

On average, highly engaged dealers realize about 60 to 80 percent of appointments when using Phone Ninjas innovative and motivational training techniques because the company takes a proactive and multi-touch approach. Proprietary software allows Phone Ninjas' coaches to insert feedback at precise points in the phone recording.

Detailed reports are sent to employees and their supervisors for corrective feedback and to monitor progress. Employees quickly gain confidence and learn how to handle the most difficult customers, all while providing top-notch customer service.

"In this age of advanced and easy communication, customers who receive poor customer service will quickly spread the word," Vitale says.

For example, American Express reports that upset American consumers will share their experience with roughly 15 people. And, of course, there's social media and review sites such as Yelp, Angie's List and Google My Business.

So, companies with great customer service come out on top. In fact, Gartner, a global research and advisory firm, reports that 64 percent of customers believe customer experience is more important than price when deciding to make a purchase with a brand.

Phone Ninjas is dedicated to making a difference in a dealer's bottom line. They're even offering free web and phone mystery shops to dealers to demonstrate any problem areas that need to be addressed.

About Phone Ninjas:

Phone Ninjas was founded in 2009 by Jerry Thibeau, CEO. It's the number one Phone and Internet training platform helping dealerships realize 60 to 80 percent appointment rates and earn more profits. The company is certified by General Motors, Subaru and others as a turnkey vendor.

With these announcements, Aclaro continues rapid advancement toward its overarching mission of helping lenders, dealers and consumers develop and nurture longer mutually beneficial relationships.

Introducing New Board Member Peter M. Leger

Aclaro has appointed auto industry expert Peter M. Leger as its newest Board Member. Leger is the founder and CEO of IVSG LLC, a provider of disruptive technology that empowers automotive retailers and original equipment manufacturers ("OEMs"). He and his team recently launched GlobalConnectPlatform(GCP3) and partnered with PickCloud/Googleto distribute the software to the global automotive retail sector.

Leger has extensive leadership and management expertise in the global automotive sector. He was the CEO of Credit Management Solutions Inc., the innovator and pioneer in online credit and automotive loan processing. One of his initiatives there was Credit Connection, which was subsequently sold to DealerTrack. Preceding CMSI, Leger was President of ADP Dealer Services(AKA CDK Global), President and CEO of MSX International, and a board member of APAC Customer Services and Outsourcing Solutions, Inc.

Aclaro is extremely excited to tap into Leger's vast insights and expertise from his decades of success in the auto industry. Throughout his career, he has led many growing businesses to a sustainable EBITDA/profitable basis by introducing new innovative technology to the sector. Leger's voice will be a critical resource as Aclaro continues its impressive pattern of growth.

"I am proud to join the Aclaro's Board, and I look forward to working with Carlos, the Aclaro team, and the other directors as the company builds for the future. I believe that Aclaro has the innovative technology and know-how to change the way that dealers, lenders, and consumers interact in a fully integrated, closed loop real-time marketplace that benefits all participating stakeholders. This is an exciting time for Aclaro and its breakthrough Artificial Intelligence technology especially in creating the Aclaro MarketPlace in connecting lenders' pre-approved borrowers with dealers real-time inventory," said Leger.

Introducing The Aclaro EcoSystem: ES 3.0

Aclaro announces ES 3.0, a game changing toolset for vehicle purchasers, lenders, and dealers.

ES 3.0 enables lenders to better understand a customer's propensity to purchase, offers real time inventory from multiple dealers tailored to a customer's preferences, and helps close vehicle sales and financing faster. The ES 3.0 process begins with Aclaro AI's learning a borrower's propensity to buy a vehicle. Then ES 3.0 engages the borrower to come and visit the Aclaro MarketPlace with a customized Call to Action via multiple channels including email, SMS, and Web targeting. In the MarketPlace, a borrower/consumer can select a list of vehicles to test drive, start the trade-in process, and the financing process. The financing process uses Nexus Score and the Aclaro's Alternative Data., Through Aclaro's proprietary algorithms, lenders gain a better sense of the borrower's cash flow, financial information, and their probability of paying back the loan in full.

Throughout the ES 3.0 processes, mutual value is created for lenders, dealers, and consumers. Lenders obtain granular financial information about a borrower that is based solely on cash flow. They quickly identify profitable lending opportunities while mitigating default risk. Auto dealers integrate their real-time daily inventory with the Aclaro Marketplace to provide consumers with the vehicles they actually want. Dealers close deals faster with permissioned customer financials. Consumers also obtain many benefits from Aclaro ES 3.0, including the ability to easily find-and be approved for-the purchase of their next dream vehicle.

Ultimately, Aclaro ES 3.0 makes life easier and better for lenders, dealers, and consumers. It saves significant time, reduces risk, increases sales and makes the auto purchasing process much more pleasant and trustworthy.

High Expectations

After identifying significant pain points in the automotive lending industry, Aclaro is leveraging game-changing technology to assist all stakeholders. With another auto industry expert board member and the release of the game changing tools in Aclaro ES 3.0, the company will quickly and permanently shift the paradigm.

If you are an auto lender, auto dealer, or prospective auto buyer, we encourage you to visit us at http://www.aclaro.io/ to learn more about our company, our stellar team, and our must-have products.

University Kia Shows Support of Local Charities

DURHAM, N.C. -- In addition to opening a brand new showroom on August 30, 2019, University Kia showed their support of local community by presenting Meals on Wheels Chapel Hill - Carrboro with a donation of more than $10,000. This appropriation will help seniors and adults with disabilities in the Chapel Hill - Carrboro area gain access to hot and balanced meals that they otherwise would not be able to receive.

During the months of July and August, University Kia donated a portion of every new Kia sold to Meals on Wheels Chapel Hill - Carrboro. The total amount was raised over the two-month period and was presented to them as a lump-sum of $10,239.

"We are incredibly grateful for our community partners, like University Kia, who really enable us to feed the hungry in our area," said Rachel Sobel Berman, Executive Director at Meals on Wheels Chapel Hill - Carrboro.

Positive Impact:
As an ongoing commitment to the community, University Kia and Meals on Wheels Chapel Hill-Carrboro joined forces to help feed the elderly and homebound in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. Back in early spring, University Kia generously donated a new 2019 Kia Soul to Meals on Wheels Chapel Hill-Carrboro to help them continue to provide hot, nutritious meals and personal visits to more than 180 recipients in the Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and southern Orange County areas who are unable to prepare meals for themselves.

"With our store now closer to Chapel Hill, we decided to partner with Meals on Wheels. We were able to donate the new 2019 Kia Soul to the program and we even had it custom vinyl wrapped so that it would stand out when people see it on the street. We are hoping that this raises awareness for the good that Meals on Wheels is doing for the Chapel Hill and Carrboro communities. We also could not have done this venture without the help of WCHL radio in Chapel Hill," said Aric Swanger, General Manager of University Kia.

University Auto Group has been serving the Triangle for over 30 years. Since inception, University Kia has made its mission to provide outstanding customer service and to create a one-of-a-kind car buying experience.
