Guild Mortgage Selects AccountChek by FormFree for Automated, GSE-Compliant Verification of Borrower Ability to Repay

ATLANTA, Ga. -- FormFree, a provider of automated verification software, today announced that Guild Mortgage (Guild) has selected AccountChek(TM) by FormFree as its partner for automated borrower asset review and decision support. AccountChek eliminates the hassle of collecting bank statements and other asset documents for loans by empowering borrowers to submit their financial data directly to lenders in minutes using a secure app.

"We had the opportunity to test-drive AccountChek as a participant in Fannie Mae's pilot earlier this year, and the response from our loan officers was overwhelmingly positive," said Jason Cho, vice president of product strategy for Guild. "Manual bank statement collection and review is time-consuming and frustrating for borrowers and lenders alike. As a cutting-edge lender and trusted advisor to our borrowers, Guild is always looking for ways to make the lending process more efficient and user-friendly."

San Diego-based Guild is one of the largest and fastest-growing independent mortgage banking companies in the country. Guild offers a range of residential mortgage products to serve the needs of any borrower, from the first-time homebuyer to military personnel to jumbo borrowers. Guild funds and services most of its own loans for improved loan quality, faster approval and borrower retention.

From its earliest days, Guild has been a technology innovator within the mortgage industry. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf software, Guild designed its own systems, digital platforms and customer relationship management software to provide the highest levels of customer service and maximize operational efficiency. It invests in new technology and automated programs wherever possible to further speed and improve the lending process.

Automated asset verification from AccountChek streamlines the mortgage underwriting process for both borrowers and lenders, resulting in quicker decisions and higher borrower satisfaction. AccountChek also produces a more fraud-resistant loan process by using secure data that is sourced directly from the financial institution, eliminating the opportunity for tampering or errors.

"Once Fannie Mae announced its decision to make AccountChek available through Desktop Underwriter - and extend reps and warrants relief to ability-to-repay determinations made using AccountChek - our decision was made," said Cho. "Guild has always maintained excellent relationships with our investors, and we have confidence in Fannie Mae's vendor selection process and commitment to building a better borrower experience."

Fannie Mae launched its Day 1 Certainty(TM) initiative and named AccountChek the first "designated vendor" with reps and warrants relief for asset verification at last month's Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Annual Convention & Expo 2016 in Boston. Users will have access to AccountChek via Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter(r) (DU(r)) validation service starting December 10.

"In just minutes, AccountChek confirms deposits and assets, performs a sophisticated analysis of the borrower's ability to repay and creates a GSE-approved asset verification report," said Brent Chandler, CEO and founder of FormFree. "It is our pleasure to help Guild Mortgage make faster, better-informed lending decisions while streamlining the mortgage transaction for the borrower."

To Mitigate Identity Fraud in the Digital Mortgage Process, FormFree selects LexisNexis Risk Solutions

ATLANTA, Ga. -- FormFree Holdings Corp. (FormFree), a provider of automated verification software, today announced that it will use fraud prevention tools created by technology, data and analytics firm LexisNexis(R) Risk Solutions for asset and identity verification.

FormFree's flagship automated asset verification app AccountChek(TM) eliminates the hassle of collecting paper statements from borrowers by leveraging direct-source data to analyze and certify a borrower's financial data in minutes via a secure, web-based platform. LexisNexis(R) TrueID(R) helps organizations instantly authenticate identity documents, fight fraud and improve the customer experience. When combined, the two services will provide lenders a potent solution for verifying assets while mitigating identity fraud.

"Digital mortgages are a critical evolution for the real estate industry," said Tim Coyle, senior director, real estate and mortgage, LexisNexis Risk Solutions. "As the evolution occurs, some traditional processes are being automated to shorten the mortgage processing timeline and improve the customer experience. If not implemented prudently, new opportunities to commit fraud are also introduced. The smart way to advance the digital mortgage environment is to build more fraud controls while at the same time speeding the process."

"Every other aspect of the loan is moot if you cannot prove the authenticity of the borrower's identity and their ability to repay," said Brent Chandler, CEO and founder of FormFree. "By automating asset and identity verification, lenders can rest assured that these foundational elements have been certified beyond a reasonable doubt."

"Electronic document authentication, like TrueID, creates balance between increased transaction security and reduced customer friction," said Kimberly Sutherland, senior director, fraud management, LexisNexis Risk Solutions. "The identification document and the data found on the document allow for a much stronger identity authentication process."

Adorn Beauty Enhancements Celebrates 3-Year Anniversary by Raising Funds for NAAF During Alopecia Areata Awareness Month

ATLANTA, Ga -- September marks two special occasions for beauty consultant and hair specialist, Archia Hall-Owens, better known as ChiChi Owens, the owner of Adorn Beauty Enhancements. Hall is not only celebrating her three-year anniversary in business, but she is also bringing heightened appreciation to Alopecia Areata Awareness Month. To commemorate both, Hall has committed to donating $25 for every custom wig sold during the month of September to The National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF).

Hall has had her own personal experience with combating hair loss. Relaxers, coloring, braiding and hair glue all played a part in her waning hairline. The matter was exacerbated when she could never find a wig that properly fit her smaller sized head. She started gluing wefts of hair into stocking caps back in 2000. Her wig designs gave her a new felt since of confidence while she worked on stimulating the regrowth of her hair.

Hall was pleasantly surprised by the compliments and requests she got from women wanting her to provide custom wigs for them as well! She launched Adorn Beauty Enhancements as a central one-stop location for all things make-up and hair. The shop is located in Atlanta and online at http://adornbeautyenhancements.com/.

A beauty industry veteran with 15 years of experience, Hall originally obtained degrees in human resource management and psychology. She has found that both fields come into play when dealing with clients who are tackling issues of self-esteem and confidence due to hair loss and alopecia. After working in corporate for 10 years, doing weaves and make-up part time for friends and family, she finally decided to enroll in cosmetology school at the Fayette Beauty School, and later open her own business. Her passion for hair loss led her to the renowned Toni Love Training Center where she received her non-surgical Hair Loss Certification.

Unlike wigs found in retail stores, Hall's exclusive line of custom medical wigs and hair prosthetics are specifically designed for the woman with little or no hair. The designs are partially or totally hand tied or sewn on with a sewing machine, with a smaller cap and a base that is specifically designed to not irritate a sensitive scalp.

Adorn Beauty's exclusive line of custom medical quality wigs are for all nationalities and are designed for a totally natural and completely undetectable appearance; from the amount of hair in the cap, to how the hair moves when the wig is worn. Adorn's medical custom wig prices start at $500, with custom fashion wigs starting at $100 excluding the hair.

"Something like losing one's hair may not readily sound like a big deal, but our hair is essentially our crown, especially for women," explains Hall. "That's why I'm so grateful to organizations like NAAF that continually provide guidance, counseling and assistance to those affected by alopecia areata. I have found that many people are completely unaware of Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, so I'm thrilled to be able to celebrate my business anniversary while drawing attention to the dedicated month. I am fulfilled knowing that I am assisting with helping to heal hearts and heads with my knowledge, care and beautiful wig designs."

About The National Alopecia Areata Foundation:

NAAF supports research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for alopecia areata, supports those with the disease, and educates the public about alopecia areata.

About Alopecia Areata:

Alopecia Areata is the most common autoimmune disease, affecting over 6.8 million Americans and 147 million people worldwide. It manifests with total or partial loss of scalp and body hair. There currently is no cure, and no treatment that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
