Nashville-based Otherworld Encounter returns for an encore exhibit at the Nashville Fairgrounds

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Otherworld Encounter will bring their 10,000 square foot immersive art experience back to the Nashville Fairgrounds for a limited engagement July 5-21, 2019. A team of 13 Nashville-based artists designed, developed and operated the exhibit for its debut this past winter. The team recently concluded a four-week run of the experience in Atlanta.

Parent company Otherworld Entertainment LLC plans to use revenues earned from the three pop-up shows to establish a permanent location in Nashville. With this permanent location, Otherworld Encounter hopes to continue on their mission of providing sustainable income for artists through commissions, grants and job opportunities through growth and expansion of the experience.

By incorporating new installations and technologies, performance art, a music venue and arts education programs, Otherworld Encounter will ultimately have a major impact on Nashville's creative economy, as well as provide a new and exciting attraction for both local residents and visitors.

"Before Otherworld Encounter, Nashville has never seen an immersive art experience of this scale." says Jamie Whitlow, Co-founder and COO of Otherworld Encounter. "We have an exceptional Arts community here, and we want to enhance that with a unique kind of visual arts presentation, one that people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy and interact with."

About Otherworld Encounter:

Designed to appeal to all ages, Otherworld Encounter is a science fiction themed immersive art experience featuring new creative technologies such as virtual reality, interactive projection mapping and other digital art forms. Most every art installation included in the exhibit is hands-on, with visitors creating their own experiences through the discovery of the interactive elements and a sci-fi storyline.

A futuristic tech company has created a new brain scanning device that amasses people's thoughts to form a dream sequence. Otherworld Encounter is the resulting fantasy world...but there are messages and clues that appear throughout the exhibit. What are the meanings of these clues? And who is Circuitman, the unpresumptuous guide who steers you to the answers?

New Book ‘Total Sh*t Donald Trump’ Skewers the President

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Author Paul Orwell's new book "Total Sh*t Donald Trump" (ISBN: 978-1733807302; ppb; Oceania Press) released today on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple and many other platforms, makes the case that the president is, in a sense, "the physical embodiment of our nation's collective excrement" and that "we citizens have a duty to flush it, not just shovel it."

While Orwell acknowledges that Trump is consistently inconsistent unlike any other President before him, he asserts that Trump is a conscious, committed and unapologetic turd.

The book contains numerous pithy author insights, including:

* Hundreds of phrases of Trumpspeak in a "sh*ttery" at the back of the book. "Trumpspeak" is POTUS 45's version of Newspeak from namesake George Orwell's book "1984."

* Reasons why many Americans think the President's sh*t doesn't stink. Not a matter of olfactory glands but a matter of mental avoidance, delusion and the collective suspension of disbelief.

* Advice to all Americans as to how to help evacuate Trump from the American body. A simple step remedy is described, which would make a timely and effective laxative for the U.S.A.

* (and much more, uncensored!)

"The general public is not as comfortable as Don is in the land of lying, litigation, exaggeration and misinformation, which gave Trump great advantage through the election," says author Paul Orwell. "But in November 2020 the electorate will have a chance to get toilet plungers out and give politicians their quadrennial cleaning at the ballot box."

Land of the Free:
"Total Sh*t Donald Trump" is published by Oceania Press today as a free eBook at https://pr.bookfunnel.com/gqcknk.

Available in Print:
The book is available for purchase for $5.95 in paperback from major booksellers; and available in Kindle and print at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QMSX3WD. It contains 82 pages.

About the Author:
Paul Orwell is the author of "Total Sh*t: Donald Trump," a satirical essay about our president that uses "sh*t" as a metaphor to describe Trump, and the book "SAD! Donald 'Biff' Trump Is President," which catalogs the striking similarities between Donald Trump and the bully Biff Tannen from "Back to the Future II."

Orwell is a businessman and writer living in Washington, D.C. who believes that Dirty Don is soiling America and that regular Republicans and Democrats have much more in common than Big Media wants them to believe. He fervently hopes that once the "Trumpster fire" has been extinguished, America can heal again.

Commander in Crap Creator Achieves Huge Success with Trump Toilet Brush

ENCINITAS, Calif. -- Michelle Rubel, owner of SpacedOutDesigns and the inventor and creator of Commander in Crap(TM), is helping make toilets great again(TM) with her viral invention, a Donald Trump toilet brush that American and international customers are gladly grabbing to clean up their crap.

Within a few months of the presidential product being featured on a famous New Zealand media site (not fake news), Rubel surprisingly saw Commander in Crap(TM) sales skyrocket to more than 10,000 units.

The trending toilet brush features Trump with his notorious orange-yellow hair and fitted in a blue suit, white shirt, and red tie. While some people are using the original patent-pending POTUS toilet brush to polish their own porcelain thrones, others are finding that their unique purchase is a huge hit for birthday, holiday, and gag gifts. Ironically, the Commander in Crap(TM) creator's ingenious idea didn't start with the Donald but with another Republican president.

"Humor has always been a big part of my life," says Rubel. "I'm not an activist; I consider myself to be an idea person."

Rubel, who holds a master's degree in sculpture and theater tech/set design from the University of Missoula and moved from Minnesota to San Diego in 2003, originally envisioned a Bush Brush. While that concept was never conceived during the time of the 43rd presidential term, Rubel knew once Trump was elected, she had to morph her Bush Brush brainwork into a modified Trump version because of its tremendous winning potential.

When the fine arts aficionado produced the first prototype it was no surprise that the hardest part was producing the orange hair-like bristles, but she found the perfect paint during a trip to the local big box store. As a result of Rubel's exuberance and creativity, she went from a prototype to handcrafting a functional product in just two weeks. With only a few units in stock, she listed the original brushes on Etsy, an online platform where artists showcase their handmade creations.

At $23.50 plus shipping and handling costs, the presidential toilet brush will bring a deep clean as well as a smile to the face of the user.

If you're like the creator, cleaning toilets could serve as therapy for those who want to get handsy with their handle and dunk the Trump. "It was more for my own therapy; it's a therapy brush. Some people have a therapy dog; I have a therapy brush."

Commander in Crap(TM) can be purchased at https://commanderincrap.com/.

ABOUT COMMANDER IN CRAP:

The Commander in Crap(TM) Trump Toilet Brush is making toilets great again. The handcrafted product by creator and inventor Michelle Rubel features Donald Trump with his blonde hair, blue suit, and red tie. More than 10,000 units have been sold worldwide.

XVALA Defaces Banksy Steve Jobs Mural to Make a Point in ‘Meme Party’

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- American artist XVALA will open his MEME PARTY campaign with an extreme modification of Banksy's mural painting of Steve Jobs in Calais, France, known as "The Son of a Migrant from Syria". XVALA will unveil his work at an event on April 27, 2019 in the Bowery. All pieces in the campaign make use of a variety of politically-charged and often controversial memes.

MEME PARTY consists of a series of art pieces and experiences created by XVALA to protest technological censorship. His concern is the loss of both freedom of information and freedom of expression in modern life due to invasive governmental and technological entities. The artist has chosen to use memes from websites such as 4chan, 8chan and Reddit as symbols to protest the reach of companies such as Apple, Facebook, Google, and Twitter as well as government agencies, in the lives of common people. He hopes his art will encourage open, public discussion of these issues.

The MEME PARTY campaign will culminate at a later date with a film documenting the artist's three-year journey to conceptualize and realize each experience and work of art.

XVALA is an artist whose work most often lies at the intersection of art and technology, appropriating spaces, materials and subject matter that others have overlooked as artistic tools. He is known for being controversial in both subject (including images of Britney Spears with her head shaved and leaked nude images of Scarlett Johansson) and materials (including items salvaged from the garbage of Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and Jack Dorsey).

He is best known for his "Fear Google" campaign, which targeted the unavoidable loss of privacy that results from a modern, high-tech lifestyle.

Regarding MEME PARTY, XVALA says, "At this time the idea of free speech is a polarizing issue. People feel cheated that they can't share jokes or say the obvious. I'm here to value unfiltered internet and meme culture. Memes represent true unfiltered internet culture and that's both dangerous and awesome. This is the most dangerous street art ever created because I'm standing up and saying no to the narrative pushed by the heads of tech companies and the heads of state."

Further information about the Meme Party launch event is forthcoming. For more information on XVALA or the Meme Party campaign, please visit http://www.xvala.com/ or contact XVALA directly at http://www.xvala.com/contact.

Stuttering Comedian and Author to Headline Punch Line Sacramento

Author of the forthcoming book "Stutterer Interrupted: The Comedian Who Almost Didn't Happen," Nina's comedy is funny, revealing, unapologetic, and always a window to her experience as a person who stutters. Through humor, Nina G is challenging now people think of stuttering.

Nina's brand of comedy highlights that the problem with disabilities is not the people with them, but a society that isn't inclusive. Nina thinks the recent trend of online stories featuring "clever" ways people "cured" their stuttering may be sending the wrong message to those who are non-stuttering speakers, offers. Nina adds, "Focusing on changing us instead of living our lives gives the wrong message to the public." Always one to model in herself what she expects from others, her humor is accessible to all who are ready for a good laugh!

Nina G Bio:

When Nina G started comedy nearly eight years ago, she was the only woman who stuttered in the world doing stand-up. Undaunted after battling a lifetime of stigma, Nina pursued her dream.
Nina G is a comedian, professional speaker, writer and educator. She brings her humor to help people confront and understand Disability culture, access, and empowerment.

What the show is about and the awareness that it brings:

Producers, Ali Ada and and Drew Kimzey each live with multiple disabilities that substantially limit their lives, yet you might never know it. They're both passionate about comedy but have significant obstacles that can prevent them from achieving their goals. The desire to turn their obstacles into strengths inspired the idea for this show.

Line-up includes:

Chey Bell, Jeanette Marin, Sureini Weerasekera, Anihca Cihla, Nicole Tran, Emily Pedersen and Kelley Nicole.

Host: Amber Whitford

Featuring: Coral Best

Headliner: Nina G.

About Coral Best:

In the 18 months since Coral got her start in comedy she has gathered a significant following with her shockingly real and relatable story telling. After going through a major medical crisis she took to stage with her natural, conversational humor and absurd comedy style and never looked back. Many of her jokes surround her new life post surgery as a young, broke, female adjusting to having an ostomy bag. She performs all over the Bay Area sharing her unabashed tales in major clubs such as the SF Punch Line and the San Jose Improv, bringing light to her not-dinner-table-appropriate disability (aka her poop bag.)

According to Coral: "Talking about my ostomy bag on stage not only helped me to accept my new body and situation but educated others on a struggle they knew nothing, to little, about. It's not just about making people laugh, it's about drawing them in to your life enough that they begin to invest in attempting to understand your experience, with your disability. It gives my comedy more purpose to know I'm doing my part to reach out to the audience and share that we are all going through some type of invisible struggle, and here I am being open and honest about mine in an attempt to bring us all closer together."

Real Life Urban Superhero DangerMan Will Tribute Comic Book Legend Stan Lee at Third Annual DangerMan Hero Awards

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- An evening of celebration will mark the 20th anniversary for DangerMan, America's Real Life Urban Super Hero at the Third Annual 2018 DangerMan Hero Awards, taking place on Saturday, December 8 at the California African American Museum (CAAM). During the affair, DangerMan will pay homage to his friend and recently departed mentor, comic book legend, Stan Lee.

He will also invite attendees to tribute the twelve victims murdered at the Border Line Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and the people who lost their lives and homes in the California wildfires, as well as the first responders, with a candlelight moment of silence.

Produced by actor, mentor and philanthropist Roger I. Tinsley, the founder of the DangerMan Urban Superhero brand and CEO/President of the DangerMan Education Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the gala will recognize eight community activists as "DangerMan Heroes" and present California State Senators Holly J. Mitchell and Steven Bradford with the DangerMan "Hero Award for Humanity."

Red carpet and VIP reception will start at 6 p.m. CAAM is located at 600 State Drive in Los Angeles. Tickets are available at http://dangermanheroawards.com/tickets/ .

This year's DangerMan Hero Awards host, Melvin Jackson Jr., returns for a third year. Jackson is an Emmy nominated actor/producer from "This Eddie Murphy Role, is Mine and Not Yours," HBO's "The Wire" and BET's "The New Edition Story." Jackson will be honored with the "2018 DangerMan Hero Award for Creative Arts."

"Can one man make a difference?" asks Tinsley. "We believe one person can. That's why in 2016 the DangerMan Hero Awards program was created. This unique show celebrates and honors the ordinary, everyday men, women and children who help make life better for others in the state of California. DangerMan fights for real issues that affect real people."

DangerMan hero nominees were initially announced online with visitors encouraged to vote for the most compelling community accomplishments and vision. This year's "super" heroes include Reggie Berry, former NFL Payer and founder/CEO Goals For Life; Juliano Jarquin, behaviorist counselor and founder of The Human Element-Life Passage; Denise Estelle, founder/president of Estelle 4 Humanity; Eddie Jones, Jr., president of the Los Angeles Civil Rights Association; Nason Buchanan, Mayor's Office of Public Safety & Community Relations Specialist; "Coach" Ron Crockett, homeless advocate and founder of Fun Zone Kids Reading Club; Mia Torres, teen homeless advocate; and Troy Druppal, basketball coach, motivational speaker and founder of Flex Foundation.

All the recipients will receive special awards, cash and other gifts presented through the DangerMan Education Foundation, Inc. The top recipient is chosen as the DangerMan Hero of the Year and receives an additional cash prize to continue his/her work.

Roger Tinsley first introduced DangerMan to America in 1998 after being emotionally impacted by the death of a four-year-old. The toddler was tragically killed on her birthday by a stray bullet from gang-related gun fire. Tinsley felt compelled to create a real-life super hero who could serve as a role model for school age children in underserved communities while addressing issues that specifically affected them. Using his own money and resources he created DangerMan, the Urban Super Hero.

As a 'real life' urban superhero, DangerMan is an advocate for children's rights promoting literacy, safety and good health. He wages against bullying and also fights human trafficking. DangerMan visits schools and community events encouraging his audience with a motto of "No gangs, guns, drugs, alcohol or tobacco." He has traveled throughout America and Haiti, empowering children to live their best life. Tinsley credits Marvel comic book legend Stan Lee for a great portion of his inspiration and success. He achieved a career highlight when Lee met and personally congratulated DangerMan on his superhero feats of worldwide motivation.

This 20th anniversary of the DangerMan Superhero brand has been very productive, first with the release of DangerMan's debut song and the production of DangerMan's second action film "DangerMan Returns."

Imagine John Lennon at 78, Helping to End Hunger, One License Plate at a Time

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Today would have marked the 78th birthday of John Lennon, and his legacy is still helping to "Imagine there's no hunger," in California, Florida and throughout the United States. Yoko Ono Lennon has kindly authorized the use of the iconic self-portrait image to help the California Association of Food Banks and Feeding Florida in their ongoing fight to end hunger.

Yoko states "Imagine is a great word to spread around and I was happy to do this because it is helping a very important charity."

The John Lennon iconic self-portrait image provides a powerful symbol of his humanitarian legacy, raising awareness to the need to address hunger and providing an image that will promote significant funding to help end hunger in America. With the newly restored "Imagine" movie and box set, a whole new generation of Lennon fans are also emerging.

The "Imagine No Hunger" license plate is available for pre-order at https://californiaimagine.com/. 7,500 have to be pre-purchased before the California DMV will proceed with creating the plate for availability to all California drivers.

In Florida, the 'Imagine' license plate has already raised close to $4 million dollars for programs to help end hunger in Florida and can be purchased online at https://www.imaginefeedingflorida.com/order.html

Each year, the member food banks of Feeding Florida provide food to the 3.3 million Floridians facing hunger, including 1.1 million children and 700,000 seniors.

Every day in California, nearly 1 in 8 households face food insecurity. For the 6.5 million Californians struggling with food insecurity, hard choices must be made between buying food and meeting such basic needs as housing, medicine, transportation, or childcare. It is estimated that hunger in California could be eliminated with an investment of $300-500 million dollars annually. If 10 million California drivers purchased the "Imagine No Hunger" specialty plate - hunger would be eliminated from the state.

"These Imagine license plates will bring vital awareness to a critical problem in our state," says Michael Flood, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank (https://www.lafoodbank.org/).

The Ford Fairlane stories, unavailable in print since first publication in 1979-1980 as serialized weekly episodes in the New York Rocker and the LA Weekly, will be officially released July 18 by Rare Bird Books. Universal FanCon is First Large-Scale Event to Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion of Fans and Fandoms April 27-29, 2018

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The inaugural Universal FanCon (FanCon) is the first large-scale, 24-hour, inclusive event that celebrates the diversity of fans, the diversity of fandom and the true needs of those who love pop culture. This year's event will help benefit and promote relevant causes, including Geek Club Books Charity for Autism. Hosted in Baltimore, Maryland, April 27-29, 2018, FanCon's mission is to create a sense of belonging by providing authentic connections and experiences through fan-centric parties, programs, panels and partners.

As an important part of this mission, FanCon is building accessibility and education into every aspect of the programming to make certain it is a disability- and autism-friendly event.

With its broad range of attendees, celebs, and unique experiences -- and its engaging, interactive festival atmosphere -- FanCon is the place for everyone who is a fan! To purchase tickets, visit https://www.universalfancon.com/

"Universal FanCon is more than just a new Geek convention," said Co-Founder Robert Butler. "It's an event where all fans of pop culture are being celebrated, represented and included during every step of the way: through our planning, our attendees, programs, parties, celebrity guests and unique experiences."

FanCon got its start during a dinner conversation in 2016 between Butler, his partners in the wildly popular The Black Geeks podcast, and Jamie Broadnax, founder of Black Girl Nerds.

"We're all big geeks and realized, for instance, that people of color have the same complaints as other minority groups and marginalized populations when it came to representation in the celebration of fandoms," said Butler. "Hispanics, African Americans and Asians make up 38 percent of our population and 49 percent of frequent moviegoers - and they are more likely to see a movie featuring characters to whom they can relate. So, we knew there was a need that we could fill!"

"We wanted to create a safe space that celebrated fandom differently by including the many different faces and voices that truly made up the groups, artists, affiliates, and brands that we all represented, such as women, the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities, autistic community, and people of color," said Jamie Broadnax.

"The inclusion and accessibility mission of FanCon is why Geek Club Books got involved with this inaugural event," said Jodi Murphy, President of Geek Club Books, an autism nonprofit.
