Whataburger Announces $100,000 Partnership with Drive Nation Sports to Increase Access to Youth Sports

DALLAS, Texas -- To provide support to young athletes in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Whataburger announced a three-year, $100,000 partnership with Drive Nation Sports. The partnership kicked off with a check presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Drive Nation Sports is a Dallas-based grassroots youth sports organization founded in 2016 by former NBA All-Star Jermaine O'Neal. As the owner and operator, O'Neal and his team are dedicated to creating a professional atmosphere for amateur athletics. The focus of Drive Nation Sports is to impact the youth by providing the programming and resources to achieve a higher level of success both on and off the court.

"The cost to participate in youth sports today is higher than it's ever been which has prevented less fortunate children from being able to play. This partnership will give these kids access to opportunities that without this assistance would have been unattainable. Drive Nation is thankful for Whataburger's contribution as it will make a significant impact in these children's lives," said Jermaine O'Neal.

Whataburger signage will be featured within the facility, with additional Whataburger patches adorning athletes' jerseys.

A portion of sponsorship funds will be allocated to provide financial aid for athletes who would otherwise not be able to participate. The intention of this aid is to create an opportunity for future advancement in education and sports.

TatumTek Completes Land Acquisition for Development of Hi-Tech Modular Construction Assembly Plant in Lamesa, TX

AUSTIN, Texas -- Edwin Tatum, Founder and CEO of Dallas-based TatumTek, a modular construction firm with offices at 2121 N. Peart St. Suite 300 Dallas, TX 75201, announced today that the company has completed the acquisition of a 64.73 acre tract of land located on the north side of Highway 180 just west of the Lamesa city limits in Lamesa, Texas.

The site will serve as the future home for TatumTek's first manufacturing and distribution facility. This facility will use highly advanced fabrication and assembly technologies to build and assemble large modular units for use in residential and commercial construction projects such as single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, and hotels. The company expects to break ground on the $20-million manufacturing facility in the second quarter of 2020.

"Our new production and distribution facility," explains Tatum, "will incorporate the most advanced modular construction technologies available with hi-tech automation systems to complement approximately 150 highly trained workers. Much like the Lego's we played with as kids, our system will allow us to produce a variety of products such as single-family homes, apartments and hotels inside the factory and 'snap' together once shipped to the site. This can be done 50% faster with equal and sometimes greater strength, without compromising the expectation of the consumer relative to finish-out and amenities. We will soon be able to produce, in Lamesa, a new generation of quality housing for the Permian Basin and the entire state of Texas at costs more aligned with the economic reality of most hard-working Americans."

"By adding a new reserve of quality housing to the Lamesa market," Tatum continues, "employees that currently commute long distances each way to work in Lamesa will be able to move their families into the community in which they work. In fact, we expect our first production orders to come from the Vista Park, LLC development, expected to break ground near our facility in early 2020. Vista Park, LLC will include 60-100 beautiful townhomes and up to 400 rental units."

UniverseIT conducted an in-depth discovery process of the three schools to determine needs and to look for synergies and commonalities in order to consolidate and streamline work as needed. This resulted in several customizations Classe365 is doing for the USAF based on their specific needs.

Many of the schools lack a strong central single source of truth for any given data point, instead relying on not only the military databases they have access to, but also more than one Excel spreadsheet containing copies of the same data.

UniverseIT is an authorized reseller and implementer of Classe365. It will go a long way towards establishing a master record for each data point while allowing other solutions to inherit that data via integration, rather than keeping its own independent copy.

Classe365, a student information system that comes with a learning management system and more, will allow document tracking features to be implemented for each applicant as well as giving them an electronic test and recording their score electronically. This will, in turn, allow the schools to ensure they have applicants moving through the process efficiently while being aware of what is and is not complete.

In addition, the schools don't currently have a standard way to distribute course content online. Many students who appear for the programs are provided physical DVDs and notebooks with course content. When coupled with tracking challenges, efficiency is lacking and both time and materials are being wasted. Classe365 and SharePoint online will allow for archiving and presentation of the course content online to each student so that no hard copies will be needed.
