SUMMIT, NJ /Send2Press Newswire/ -- ArtMolds (www.artmolds.com), a New Jersey based manufacturer of art kits, mold-making and casting materials, today announced that it has joined forces with the Association of Lifecasters International (ALI) to co-sponsor the first annual Life Casting Awards for outstanding artistic achievement in the service of humanity.

"This unique award was created to promote public awareness about life casting, which is an ancient art form dating back 3500 years," said Ed McCormick, Founder and Managing Director of Lifecasters International. "But we also want to emphasize the spirit of giving. The Life Casting Awards will be given to artists who have created a meritorious life casting work which has been gifted to a member of the general public. We are as interested in the story behind the gift as we are in the work itself, as this is a contest about using creativity in the service of the world."

Works submitted for the Life Casting Awards will be reviewed by a team of 3 judges, who are experts in life casting and sculpture. This year's judges are Dave Parvin, Roy Butler and Ed McCormick.

The rules for the competition are as follows:

- Entry is limited to ALI Members.

- The artist must create a piece of life casting art as a gift to a member of the general public.

- Weight will be given to any positive press generated by the gift.

- The work must be a meaningful gift. For example, an artist could create a life casting art piece and donate it to an auction to help tsunami victims.

- A photo(s) of the artwork, the artist, and the recipient of the gift, as a 300dpi JPEG format, must be included with the submission, along with a story about the gift. The story must be in English, and must not exceed 250 words.

Awards to Competitors

The winner of the Life Casting Awards will receive $350.00 and a certificate. First runner up will receive $150.00 and a certificate. First- through third-prize winners will also receive a Life Casting Award statue, created especially for the event by internationally renowned artist and sculptor Philip Hitchcock, designer of the L.A. Ovations Award, who recently created over 24 life castings for Fox's hit TV show "The Swan."

ArtMolds manufactures life casting kits and mold making materials for artists, special effects, prosthetics and taxidermy. ArtMolds' products are available worldwide through a network of distributors. ArtMolds holds the patents for skin-safe molding materials, produces educational videos, and conducts workshops on the techniques of "lifecasting."

The Association of Lifecasters International is a trade association consisting of artists and supporters. ALI was founded to promote public awareness of the art of life casting. Membership is free and registration is available at http://www.lifecasting.org.

Math-a-Mania(tm) game makes learning math fun for children and adults

TULSA, OK /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Raynece Leader-Thompson was only thirteen when she created the Math-a-Mania(tm) game that makes learning math fun for children and adults. As she accepted invitations to demonstrate the game for school districts across the nation, she saw first-hand the lack of supplies in many of the classrooms. As sales of "Math-a-Mania(tm)" increased, Raynece asked her mother Johnece, president of the games distributor Math Workz, LLC (www.mathworkz.com), to help find a way they could fill this need. The "Teachers' Wish List" is a result of this desire.

*Photo Caption: Teenager Raynece Leader-Thompson, with her math education game, Math-a-Mania(tm).

A percentage of each quarter's sales is set aside to grant teacher's wishes for their classrooms. By completing a simple form on the Math Workz website, www.mathworkz.com, teachers across the U.S. can enter. An independent panel chooses each quarter's winner and the supplies are shipped to the school.

Johnece says, "We look forward to reading every entry. Some are funny, some heartbreaking, but every one is worthy. As the company grows, the awards will grow and well be able to give back even more."

Now sixteen, Raynece attends public school and travels with her mom to demonstrate the game for organizations, schools and parents. She says, "I love to see the kids' eyes light up when, after playing Math-a-Mania, they suddenly understand that math problem they've been struggling with."

"Math-a-mania helps children relax and have fun without realizing that they are learning," she adds. There are four levels to this game so it allows you to adjust the game to the level of the players. "Playing this game is a perfect way to master basic addition, subtraction and multiplication. You can also incorporate division as well," says Raynece.

The instructions are simple and in both English and Spanish. Raynece cautions players that, "Math-a-Mania can become addictive!"

The "Teachers' Wish List" is open to all U.S. teachers -- not just customers of Math-a-Mania(tm). Teachers interested in Math-a-Mania(tm) demos should contact their Service Centers or School Districts and request a visit from this charming teen.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA and COPENHAGEN, Denmark /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Napatech (www.napatech.com) today announced the immediate availability of the industry's first 8x1 GIGABIT PROGRAMMABLE TRAFFIC ANALYZER NETWORK INTERFACE CARD. The 8x1 Gigabit NT8FT Traffic Analyzer NIC is the most powerful and the only fully programmable traffic analyzer NIC available on the market today, allowing traffic filtering at 8 Gbps. The NT8FT Traffic Analyzer NIC is based on the industry standard PCI-X interface and compliant with most platforms.

"The new Traffic Analyzer NIC enables our OEM-customers to implement fully customized HW-accelerated traffic analyzer solutions very effectively as their existing software and hardware can be fully or partly reused, and made to scale to future demands of end customers," says Thomas Jorgensen, Vice President of Sales at Napatech. "The Traffic Analyzer NIC is already deployed in production networks and proven its worth. The fully programmable platform provides both Napatech and our customers with the ability to rapidly and continuously add features and update the solutions in the field."

The Traffic Analyzer NIC includes features like packet filtering, packet tracing and high precision time stamping all done in HW allowing packet processing at up to 8 Gbps line speeds. Systems with multiple cards will be able to support line speed on all cards and ports. The feature set includes 64 fully programmable filters, Linux driver and programming interface in source code. The 64 filters can be combined with Boolean operations. Another key feature is high precision time stamping.

The NIC is capable of making up to 1 billion filter lookups per second. Because of the flexible and effective filtering, the host application can concentrate on the specialized traffic analysis rather than on filtering and discarding irrelevant traffic.

Availability & Configurations

The Napatech products are immediately available through Napatech for OEM sales only. Pricing information can be obtained directly from Napatech.

The programmable Traffic Analyzer NIC is available in the following hardware configurations:

NT4ET 4-port electrical NIC

NT4FT 4-port optical NIC

NT8ET 8-port electrical NIC

NT8FT 8-port optical NIC

NT4E4FT 4-port electrical and 4-port optical NIC

Traffic Analyzer kit -- A development kit which provides the customer with a fully workable plug-and-play solution and test platform. The development kit contains 1 PC installed with 1 NT4E4FT (4x1G Electrical port + 4x1 G optical port NIC), Linux driver (including source code) and custom application examples plus one extra NT4E4FT Traffic Analyzer NIC.

About Napatech

Founded in 2003, Napatech is focused on programmable Ethernet adapters. The core idea is off-loading real-time traffic and payload analysis applications traditionally implemented in software or proprietary hardware. Napatech expects a huge growth in the demand for intelligent and programmable adapters as Ethernet speeds increase. The current PC architecture limits the amount of bandwidth that can be handled by the PCI bus and CPU/memory. Napatech has marketing and R&D offices in Mountain View, California and Copenhagen, Denmark.

More than US $12 billion has been allocated for the environmental cleanup in China for the preparation of the 2008 Olympics. Advantages of bioremediation are that its natural, cost-effective, non-disruptive, and non-invasive and is usually performed on an on-site basis.

"The 2008 Olympics represents an immense business opportunity for Tekron," said Mr. Luigi Brun, Chief Executive Officer of Tekron, Inc. The Boloto Group Introduces The First Ever Secure Way to Collaborate, Share Files and Conduct Business Within a Secure Distributed Community

Author: The Boloto Group
Dateline: Wed, 29 Dec 2004

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “PHOENIX, AZ /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Today marks a new era for consumers, entertainment companies and advertisers. The Boloto Group (www.bolotogroup.com), an Arizona based technology firm introduced a revolutionary free software, titled the Library Card(tm) that makes possible the next generation Internet. The Library Card is an electronic pass that consumers use to access features of the web by filling out a simple registration. With the Library Card, users will be able to unlock a private community that provides access to products, services and entertainment ranging from online dating to career connections, personal finance to multi-lingual communications, and media, all for free. ”

Patent-Pending Technology Provides A Secure Way For Persons to Freely Distribute, Share and Collaborate

PHOENIX, AZ /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Today marks a new era for consumers, entertainment companies and advertisers.

The Boloto Group was formed to resolve problems with the way the Internet was currently being utilized. While the web has revolutionized many personal and business functions, certain limitations have kept it from being even more fully utilized. It had not reached the next level, which the Boloto Group technology now makes possible with this generation of Internet.

The Boloto Group has created a unique, more secure, private collaborative community which provides secure and personalized access for virtually everything that an individual uses the Internet for. Also, companies will be able to pinpoint their advertising to exact individuals. Beginning in the first quarter of 2005, members and advertisers will begin to enjoy the benefits and services of their Library Cards and the Boloto technology.

Membership in this private community is available to anyone with a simple, generic registration. Applications include LC Search, a vast improvement on Internet search engines that provides more specific responses to queries. Another unique application is the LC Index, a personal automated contact manager that keeps individuals and events important to users informed and up to date in real-time. The Library Line, an incredible breakthrough technology and application, will be the most advanced communication tool on the Internet.

When fully implemented, users will be able to talk or type, listen or read, and translate to the language of their choice instantly. Other technologies and uses are also available, including the NAN-e network, which allows users to stay wirelessly connected to their Internet provider no matter where they are. Community members will also be able to access tools and applications needed to successfully manage their finances and business affairs.

One of the biggest breakthroughs to come out of the technologies and business applications developed by the company is a proprietary new way to send and enjoy media on the Internet. A new form of computer code makes it possible to distribute media in a smaller size, in a faster way, and with a security method that ensures fees are paid by the user or by an advertiser. This provides the solution to the piracy and illegal swapping of music, movies and software that the industry has been looking for.

Boloto has also developed a technology and business model that delivers the ability for entertainment providers to receive the user fees for previously acquired and copyrighted materials that have been pirated or illegally shared. The company's motto for this breakthrough technology, "every time a song is played, the artist gets paid," regardless of how or where the original content was acquired says it all.

Robert Donnelli, CEO of The Boloto Group, said that what they have done is simply make the Web what it should have been all along. "The Web as we know it is about to change, for the better," he said. "The Boloto Group uses the mantra 'where innovation captures opportunity.' Innovation is our patent-pending, leading-edge technologies."

"These technologies provide us with many opportunities," added Donnelli, "including the opportunity to resolve piracy once and for all. They provide the opportunity to bring people together globally and to make the web a safer, more personalized place. And they provide the opportunity to simplify the Web, to use it exactly as you desire and for businesses to sponsor free events for their exact audiences. Decades of experience and years of development in the making, welcome to the Library Card."

Registration for a Library Card is free and can be done at www.bolotogroup.com

A R T I C L E:

HONEY BROOK, PA /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Thanks to FDA approval of ThyroTest(tm), a new rapid hypothyroid diagnostic screening device from ThyroTec, Inc., detection of a common thyroid disease will now come sooner rather than later for millions of Americans. More Americans suffer from thyroid disease than diabetes and cancer combined.

Currently patients suffering from symptoms of hypothyroidism have to wait days to discover lab results. Because ThyroTest(tm) has also gained CLIA Waiver status; patients can now get test result for hypothyroidism in minutes, right in the doctor's office.

"We are excited about bringing ThyroTest to the marketplace," said Jim Small, president of ThyroTec, a New Jersey based medical products development company. "ThyroTest is the first, and only, product to receive FDA approval and CLIA waiver for identifying above normal levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in a rapid format. This simple rapid diagnostic screen test is a qualitative measurement that allows physicians to screen patients for hypothyroidism in ten minutes with a whole blood sample."

Hypothyroidism develops when the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone, which regulates body's metabolism. A lack of thyroid hormone affects many body systems.

The incidence of hypothyroidism tends to increase with age, with older people, especially women, at highest risk.

Common symptoms include weight gain, fatigue, mood swings, weakness, dry and coarse skin and hair, hair loss, depression, decreased libido, trouble swallowing, increased cholesterol, heavy or irregular periods or trouble getting pregnant.

An estimated 13 million Americans live undiagnosed and needlessly suffer from hypothyroidism. It is also estimated that three to five percent of the U.S. population has some form of thyroid disease. Approximately one in every eight of American women will develop a thyroid disorder during her lifetime.

ThyroTec has chosen American Health Partners, of Oklahoma City, to develop the ThyroTest(tm) brand identity, final market preparation, selection of national sales partners, training and the management of distribution.

"American Health Partners recognizes the benefit of providing doctors a rapid screen for hypothyroidism. Millions of patients who needlessly suffer from the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be screened in one office visit and further steps for treatment can begin immediately," said Brian Banks, president of American Health Partners.

"American Health Partners brings medical innovations to life through a proprietary market readiness process and proven distribution management network. We look forward to partnering with ThyroTec on this outstanding medical innovation."

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. and ONTARIO, Canada /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Tekron, Inc. (OTC BB: TKRN) today announced that it is in the final stages of developing a plan to process dairy waste from several major Ontario farms into energy. A key component to the plan would be the potential to create an energy self-sufficient dairy farm. While working with Transdynamics Engineering Limited, a Canadian-based designer and manufacturer of waste recycling and handling equipment for more than two decades, Tekron plans on submitting the completed proposal in early 2005.

Experts have long viewed cattle and poultry refuse as a promising source of renewable energy. The current system of agricultural-waste disposal is expensive, but alternative energy isn't the only benefit of Tekron's proprietary bioremediation process. The process produces useful by-products such as nitrogen-rich liquid fertilizer and fiber that can be spread on fields for spring planting or used to make potting soil. It also reduces pollutants and odors and captures methane gas that would otherwise go into the atmosphere.

Luigi Brun, Chief Executive Officer of Tekron, Inc. stated, "It is extremely important that North America's farmers be an integral part of the renewable energy industry. The task of the responsible disposal of animal waste has been an expensive proposition for farmers reducing already slim products. North America produces over 150 million tons of farm waste every year with the United States producing over 95 million tons each year. This is a problem that must be solved."

Mr. Brun continued, "It's too early to say how much energy each farm may produce or how much money it might save. But if our initial projections are any indication, the energy produced from the waste using of proprietary processes could certainly turn farms into self-sustaining operations."

Tekron, Inc., www.tekron-inc.com, and its subsidiaries are engaged in the commitment to the preservation of the environment through the use of ecologically safe and efficient technology.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. /Send2Press Newswire/ -- Eugene Dong, an independent music producer (www.echoesofheaven.com), today announced that Keith Thompson's Christmas pipe organ classic, "A King's Christmas" is now available nationally and internationally through Apple iTunes(tm). In addition to the iTunes store in the USA, Thompson's albums are now available in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Finland, Portugal, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.

"I'm very pleased about Apple's decision to make Mr. Thompson's music available to their shoppers," said Eugene Dong. "Not only does this decision invites serious music lovers to join the digital music age with Keith's pipe organ albums, but clearly demonstrates that Apple iTunes(tm)+iPod(tm) usage is not limited to pop music lovers."

In his first digital release, "A King's Christmas," Keith Thompson celebrates the birthday of the King of Kings on the king of instruments, the pipe organ. Selections include the classic Christmas music of Johann Sebastian Bach, as well two 20th century works, "In Dulci Jubilo," by Marcel Dupre, and "Carillon-Sortie," by Henri Mulet. Carillon-Sortie is a vivacious work that is an encore favorite regardless of the season.

In addition, Mr. Thompson adds his own richly textured arrangements of timeless Christmas classics "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," "Go Tell It on the Mountain," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Away in the Manger," "Joy to the World," "The First Noel," "Now is Born the Divine Christ Child" and "Silent Night."

An early review of the CD calls Mr. Thompson's album "inspiring, relaxing, invigorating, and awesome!"

Keith Thompson began playing the piano at the age of four and the organ at the age of seven. He played his first public concert at the age of 11 to an audience of 1500. Keith was one of the top four finalists in the prestigious International Concours d'Orgue,Grand Prix de Chartres, and has performed twice at the White House. He now performs regularly at the Palace of the Legion of Honor, and the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.
