PAHRUMP, Nev., Nov. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- A new device from JBL Innovations called the Wallmarker (Wallmarker.net) may be the answer for couples who cannot hang pictures without arguing or calling a handyman. For couples who are not handy, just hanging a picture may require help from a handyman. Not anymore. A new, inexpensive product called The Wallmarker makes it easy for anyone to hang pictures straight every time.

Wallmarker makes hanging clocks easierRebecca Smith from Arkansas was filled with angst because she and her husband were about to re-hang pictures. Work around the house did not come naturally for either of them. Then she found the Wallmarker. "This could be a marriage-saver," she says.

The hardest part about hanging a picture is figuring out where to hammer the nail. And the Wallmarker, a new tool from inventor Jeff Lombardo, makes it easy to figure that out. "WallMarker almost makes it fun to hang a picture," says Lombardo.

The WallMarker is a piece of chalk shaped like an arrow that has adhesive on one side. It sticks to the back of the picture at the center, to allow the picture to be positioned and eyeballed. When the position is right, the picture can be pushed against the wall to create a chalk mark. That's the spot where the nail goes.

And the job's done.

The WallMarker eliminates the need for meticulous measuring and guesswork while hanging pictures.

"If you make a mistake the chalk will easily wipe off the wall and there are no holes to hide," says Lombardo.

The WallMarker can be used over and over.

To find out more about the WallMarker, please visit www.wallmarker.net.

About Wallmarker: The WallMarker is a piece of chalk shaped like an arrow that has an adhesive side designed to make hanging a picture. Pictures can be easily eyeballed and marked without the need for measuring or multiple nail holes.

Interview Requests: Jeff Lombardo is available for television, radio or newspaper interviews.

Rimadesio Introduces Abacus Closet System, Designed Entirely of Aluminum and Glass

Author: Rimadesio Boston
Dateline: Wed, 30 Jul 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “BOSTON, Mass., July 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Rimadesio, the Italian manufacturer of luxury glass and aluminum passage doors, wall panels, and closet/shelving units, introduces Abacus, a dramatic and innovative walk-in closet system available exclusively in North America at Rimadesio Boston.”

A R T I C L E:

BOSTON, Mass., July 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Rimadesio, the Italian manufacturer of luxury glass and aluminum passage doors, wall panels, and closet/shelving units, introduces Abacus, a dramatic and innovative walk-in closet system available exclusively in North America at Rimadesio Boston.

Rimadesio AbacusDesigned by Giuseppe Bavuso, Abacus pairs thin aluminum honeycomb shelving with elegant tempered glass.

"We didn't want the technology to be seen," says Bavuso. This decision allows dramatic design features to take center stage. For instance, the tempered glass used in the unit is available in thirty different colors, all of which were deliberately chosen, according to the designer.

The type of aluminum used in Abacus's framing was originally designed for aeronautical applications, meaning that the system's overhanging shelving features are super-thin but strong enough to handle the large capacity required of a walk-in wardrobe. A patented solution for suspended elements allows Abacus's aluminum structure to be largely hidden. A lighting system, integrated into the top part of the panels, offers both illumination and drama.

"Abacus takes the walk-in closet to an entirely new level," says Rimadesio Boston owner Philip Guarino. "It's a distinctive closet system that brings tremendous functionality and an exceptional aesthetic to an often overlooked but very important part of the home."

Rimadesio is a global standard-bearer for elegant and ergonomic space-defining solutions. Established in 1956 as a home furnishings manufacturer in Desio, Italy, the company soon began experimenting with inventive new methods of processing glass. Their patented processes would prove integral to Rimadesio's later emphasis on the production of groundbreaking doors, sliding door/divider and closet/shelving systems. Rimadesio's fully customized designs have since been installed in residences, prominent office spaces, hotels, and museums worldwide. The company has established successful showrooms in cities including Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Milan, Paris, Rome, Sao Paulo, Taipei, and Zurich.

High Gas Prices Cause People to Opt for ‘Staycations’ and Invest in Home

Author: Patio World Home and Hearth
Dateline: Thu, 03 Jul 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “PRINCETON, N.J., July 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- What's a staycation you ask? It's a vacation spent at home, and more and more people are re-discovering the advantages to staying at home to renew and restore the senses while padding the pocketbook. And, Patio World Home & Hearth is working to ensure people maximize their staycations.”

A R T I C L E:

PRINCETON, N.J., July 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- What's a "staycation" you ask? It's a vacation spent at home, and more and more people are re-discovering the advantages to staying at home to renew and restore the senses while padding the pocketbook. And, Patio World Home & Hearth is working to ensure people maximize their "staycations."

An outdoor lanai in Naples FloridaIn lieu of high gas prices, the weakening dollar, financial uncertainty, and airport nightmares, stress levels are at an all-time high - just when people need a vacation the most.

And, when bodies are stressed, an array of health problems can arise. These may include: difficulty sleeping and concentrating, panic attacks, neck and back pain, ulcers, rise in blood pressure, digestion problems, depression, heart attacks, and a compromised immune system.

So, what's a person to do? A staycation is a viable alternative. It also provides time to reconnect with family, neighbors and friends.

Business entertaining at home is also on the rise. Dining out, while still popular, is lately getting some serious competition from its counterpart - dining at home.

Perry Arons, CEO of one of the largest chain of patio stores on the east coast, Patio World Home & Hearth, says, "More and more people are recognizing that entertaining in a comfortable and elegant, open-air entertainment room not only helps to build a personal rapport, but also helps to weather economic uncertainty."

Well-appointed outdoor entertaining areas can turn a home into a vacation or business destination. According to Consumer Reports, by creating inviting outdoor living space, people can also increase their home's value.

And, in today's depressed real estate market, the second most likely home-remodeling project is outdoor entertaining space. Many outdoor spaces are also designed to be the focal point of a home.

Arons sums up this new awareness. He explains that, "Our customers are asking us to design, implement and furnish outdoor areas that rival the best of any quaint Caribbean hotel or high-end resort."

Patio World Home & Hearth does complete makeovers with marble-top tables for dining; fire pits and cafe sets for intimate or private talks; pergolas and gazebos to resemble a faraway oasis; large fountains to eliminate exterior noise; and elite, gourmet grills containing storage, sinks and refrigerators.

"Place some vibrant throws and pillows for accent color; add a few old-fashioned, but fashionable bronze standing fans and patio heaters to counter a hot or cool evening, and a getaway that is worlds away is simply a few feet away," Arons says.

Patio World Home & Hearth offers a large selection of furniture and seating arrangements for immediate delivery, and free in-house designing and shipping to anywhere in the world.

"The best part of this 'taking the inside out' phenomenon," Arons explains, "is that parents no longer have to answer to 'are we there yet,' and since men are notoriously the grillers, men can grill while women chill."

Environmentally Friendly Light Shield(TM) Safely Repels Dangerous Summer Mosquitoes

Author: Lumos, Inc.
Dateline: Fri, 20 Jun 2008

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “PROVO, Utah, June 20 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Lumos Inc. announces the launch of Light Shield(TM), the first, light-based mosquito abatement device that repels mosquitoes from illuminated areas without chemicals or other expensive equipment. A R T I C L E:

PROVO, Utah, June 20 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Lumos Inc. announces the launch of Light Shield(TM), the first, light-based mosquito abatement device that repels mosquitoes from illuminated areas without chemicals or other expensive equipment. Its low-energy consumption and chemical-free composition make it an environmentally-friendly product that really works.

Lumos Light ShieldAccording to the Department of Health and Human Services Center for Disease Control and Prevention, malaria, which is spread by the bite of an infected mosquito, is the most common life-threatening infection in the world; malaria causes approximately 500 million infections and more than one million deaths, annually. As a result, malaria drains economies in Africa, Asia, and the Americas by reducing productivity and increasing health service cost.

This is where Lumos Inc. can help. Following three years of development, Lumos has discovered a simple, non-polluting approach for dealing with unpleasant summertime visitors that frequent outdoor and patio activities.

Using a patented light technology, Lumos has integrated an energy-efficient, compact fluorescent floodlight with a specially-tuned light filter creating an effective mosquito barrier.

Independent testing performed by Independent Laboratory Pesticide Efficacy Testing Regulatory Services has documented an impressive 97 percent reduction of mosquitoes in protected zones illuminated by Light Shield(TM). This means 97 percent less mosquito bites.

Light Shield(TM) easily installs in any number of outdoor floodlight or patio-lighting fixtures. Free standing outdoor fixtures can be used to direct Light Shield(TM) to more targeted protection zones.

Providing up to 3,000 hours of protection, Light Shield(TM) has one of the lowest operating costs of any mosquito abatement product on the market.

Additionally, as highly pathogenic diseases such as West Nile Virus and Avian Bird Flu threaten people's health, maintaining mosquito-free areas around homes is becoming more important than ever. Light Shield(TM) represents one of the most effective and least expensive solutions to dealing with this threat.

Currently, Lumos is offering free evaluation Light Shield(TM) units to industry advisors, dealers, retailers, and distributors interested in selling or recommending this exciting new product.

A full test report is available upon request. For more information, visit: www.lumosinc.com.

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “PORTERSVILLE, Pa., May 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- With the price of oil going up, smart consumers are buying resin furniture now, says Adams Mfg. Corp. While stacking chairs are always a good value, next year the price of resin furniture will increase.”

PORTERSVILLE, Pa., May 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- With the price of oil going up, smart consumers are buying resin furniture now, says Adams Mfg. Corp. While stacking chairs are always a good value, next year the price of resin furniture will increase. "I'm buying my stacking Adirondacks now," say those who want to experience savings.

Caption: resin furniture shown in swimming pool settingThese consumers know that the chairs in the stores now were bought last year, when the price of raw materials was low. Those prices are all going up next year because the price of oil continues to increase.

Resin furniture is always a bargain. It doesn't need to be painted, it doesn't crack or split like wood, and it doesn't rust and oxidize like metal. And, it's 100% recyclable.

For the rest of this summer, resin furniture will be cheaper than it will ever be again. Taking advantage of this, people are stocking up for next year. It is the most intelligent thing to do, says Adams Mfg. As a result, resin furniture is moving out of the stores faster than ever before.

According to the company, "If you see it, and you think you'll need it, buy it now, while it's cheaper." Alert consumers know a bargain when they see one.

Established in 1981, Adams Mfg. takes pride in providing high-quality, safe consumer products Made in the USA. In addition to casual furniture, Adams also manufactures Christmas decorating accessories, suction cups, and magnets. The company holds exclusive patents on many of its items.

PAHRUMP, Nev., May 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Hanging pictures can cause headaches and if not done properly can cause unsightly holes and misaligned lines. No worries. JBL Innovations has designed a piece of hardware - the Wallmarker - that makes it easy for anyone to hang pictures without the use of a tape measure; no assembly required.

Caption: The Wallmarker from JBL InnovationsThe Wallmarker, a patented product, will save time and money. It is designed to make it easy to hang pictures precisely without having to measure or put multiple holes in the wall. It can also be used multiple times.

"Get it right the first time, quickly, easily, and exactly," Jeff Lombardo, owner of JBL Innovations, explains.

So, how does it work? There are two different colored wall markers to choose from - blue or yellow. They are comprised of chalk and come in the shape of an arrow. Blue is for light-colored walls and yellow is for dark-colored walls.

Easy "how-to" instructions will walk users through the process. Users will have the ability to position their picture in its precise location. Once the location has been identified, the picture is pushed into the wall and a distinct point is made. The chalk mark signals the point where the nail goes; the Wallmarker is removed and the picture is hung.

Barbara of Las Vegas was thrilled with the product. "I needed to hang three pictures of the same size in a straight horizontal line above my headboard," she says. "Using the Wallmarker, I was able to hang all three pictures perfectly straight across in no time without the extra holes in the wall and did not need a tape measure to do it."

Another woman happily revealed, "Now, I can retire my husband."

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y., May 21 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Architect Donald J. Berg, author of 15 books on building and landscaping, has just designed plans for a new expandable garage to help solve home storage problems. The Oakville Garage Plans can be downloaded for free at TodaysPlans.com. "Are there too many cars and bikes in your driveway and too many boxes in your attic?" asks Berg. "Build the Oakville Garage to add value to your home and solve your storage problems once and for all."

Caption: The Oakville Garage, shown with an optional side shed or workshopThe Oakville Garage is 16 feet wide by 22, 24 or 28 feet deep. It's big enough for a car, small truck or SUV with room for bicycles, garden tools and a workbench. There are pull-down stairs to a full loft for even more storage. The high and dry loft space is perfect for clothes and boxes of valuable papers and photos.

The plans include drawings for optional 12 foot wide shed-roof expansions on either side. You can build your garage for one, two or three cars, or have a combination of parking areas with a workshop, hobby shop, home office, studio or storage shed. "You can build your garage small now and expand it as your needs grow," Berg adds.

The downloadable drawings are for sturdy but easy-to-build 2x6 stud wall construction. They include a complete material list so that you can get accurate quotes of your building cost.
