The octagon vol. 2 albums are available in major mp3 stores.

In the beginning in may 2008, Harlequins Enigma had some involvement with Maniacs of noise, but the co-operation ended shortly after, Where Age Riisnes, Elin Berge, Sara Jensen and a little later on Katie Leung did co-ops and sessions with Klaus Schulze, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Jan Garbarek, Dave Weckl, Kitaro, Vangelis, Tori Amos and several others. 430 16-bit tracks and 170 8-bit tracks were made in this period from may 2008 until february 2010. Night Lights was then released in August 2010. Earlier they released twenty-three free music videos. The videos "Sun Moon Stars" and "Million thrills" were taken down, due to a mix-up in Katie's name and an issue with Oistein Eide. "Sun Moon Stars" have been re-released at a later time, and Million Thrills have also been re-released on the "Alt" album recently.

New years eve 2010 Dark light is released, and marked a bad decade with hopes for the future. Stargazer 1 - Moon phase was released in 2011 as video #24, this one a commercial one featuring Klaus Schulze and Jan Reidar Riisnes. 8 singles and 10 albums have been released since new year. The albums are: Ruby and jade photograph, Lyra, Stargazer, Heartbeat, Octagon volume 1. The following 3 were best of albums in a series called "The Journey of Harlequins Enigma." Octagon volume 2 triple dance album and EP followed with radical "Alt" in between. with the release of albums like "Alt" and Octagon volume 3 - they seek third parties who like alternate music.

Harlqeuins Enigma announces a break in the octagon series after their octagon volume 3 release. Their reason is simply financial, but they will be back with the continuance of the 5 last octagon volumes, plus also 3 volumes called TD Sound 1,2 and3, Involving Tangerine Dream and ex Tangerine Dream members. There will also be a release of Catmint, a mixed genre double album, all spoken of as great compilations. Mastered versions of earlier albums are also planned.

Harleqins Enigma stands today as passive resistance in the #egypt situation. They've had similar problems of their own with the internet and the band's rights. Harlequins Enigma's home lies in Bergen, Norway. Their situation has been mentioned as a #mini-egypt situation. Harlequins Enigma's web site holds more information on the troubles that have followed the band since the beginning.

A R T I C L E:

Andaz 5th Avenue, a hotel inspired by the culture of New York City, announces the launch of tbd Art - a rotating art series. The first year of rotating art started on October 6th with artist M.Dreeland. In total, the hotel will have four diverse artists; M.Dreeland, Mister Cartoon, Claw Money and a final artist (currently TBD).

Each artist will paint their "View of New York - Today" on the doors leading to the bar downstairs, located on the Fifth Avenue side of Andaz 5th Avenue.

The project is curated by the SA Studios Artist Collective, and art enthusiasts can watch the artists at work and read about their experience by visiting http://andaz5thavenue.tumblr.com .

Artist M.Dreeland began October 6th:

M.Dreeland, utilizes a pop art style that mixes basic acrylics and techniques from the masters with high-tech tools of the present. M.Dreeland is known for presenting commonly recognizable objects in a new light by distorting images through an abundant use of color and layers of thick paint.

"Being precise and exactly up to the edge is not enjoyable," says M.Dreeland. "Those little nicks, smudges, and blobs of paint over clean lines make this work limitless."

M.Dreeland presented his view of New York City on the doors to the bar downstairs at Andaz 5th Avenue. He completed his mural in four days while passersby had the opportunity to view the artist at work on 5th Avenue. M.Dreeland's work is currently featured at the Time Warner Center in NYC and at Art Basel in Miami this December.

Artist Mister Cartoon begins December 12th:

Guests will discover a new side of New York through the eyes of iconic tattoo and graffiti artist Mister Cartoon. Famous for exposing both the "vicious and vulnerable" side of his work, Eminem, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce have entrusted him to permanently expose some of their most intimate moments on their skin.

Mister Cartoon's artwork has also been on prominent display in exhibitions such as MoCA's seminal Art in the Streets exhibit, one of the most in-depth and comprehensive cross-sections of street art to date. Among Cartoon's contributions is his fully muraled ice-cream truck, a breathtaking showpiece that took a decade to complete.

Additionally, as the hotel's Tattoo Artist in Residence, Mister Cartoon will be offering guests his services as a tattoo artist. Anyone who books a room at Andaz 5th Avenue during his two week stay will be able to bypass Mister Cartoon's year long waiting list.

Artist Claudia Gold begins February 12th:

Known as Claw Money, her graffiti alter ego, Gold will combine her eye for fashion with her edgy graffiti style on the doors to the bar downstairs. Claw Money has been tagging the New York City landscape with her iconic Claw tag for the past three decades and has paralleled her street cred into a luxury lifestyle brand. Claudia's line, Claw Money, features clothing, accessories and sunglasses worn by celebs including Rihanna, MIA, and Nicki Minaj.

tbd Artist begins on June 12th:

The fourth mystery artist will create a dynamic piece to conclude the 2011 tbd Art series.

tbd Art's Photographer:

The creation of the murals will be chronicled by photographer Brendan Burke. Brendan's images will be available on http://andaz5thavenue.tumblr.com - which will also feature blog entries from the artists regarding their work and their experiences creating each of their murals. Additionally, each piece of art will be photographed and turned into limited edition post cards sold for $5 each at the bar downstairs. Proceeds will be donated to charity.

"Art is an integral part of Andaz 5th Avenue and we strive to find new ways to support art and design," says Jonathan Frolich, General Manager of Andaz 5th Avenue. "We are delighted to launch tbd Art with such a diverse group of talented artists so that guests and New Yorkers alike can experience a unique view of New York City at Andaz 5th Avenue."

Andaz Salon - Hosted by experts, Attended by locals, All are welcome:

Andaz recently launched a brand wide Andaz Salon series to foster cultural exploration and creativity from art exhibits to culinary emersions, performances by emerging musicians and celebration of the written word. Each Andaz Salon is designed to reflect the local cultural scene. Andaz 5th Avenue's tbd Art program is a part of the Andaz Salon series along with Andaz Wall Street's Impromptu Performance series and Andaz West Hollywood's Art Seen at Andaz series.

Sky Ball League Ends First Pro Season – Final Game Airs Saturday on Sports New York

Author: Sky Ball League
Dateline: Los Angeles, California (LOS ANGELES, Calif.)  | Fri, 07 Oct 2011

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Sky Ball League, the next generation coed pro sport, wraps up its first season on SNY.tv Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. The championship game between the Los Angeles 405s and the Youngstown Ballers will decide who goes home with the $40,000 purse, as well as naming the MVP who pockets an additional $5,000.”

A R T I C L E:

Sky Ball League, the next generation coed pro sport, wraps up its first season on SNY.tv Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. The championship game between the Los Angeles 405s and the Youngstown Ballers will decide who goes home with the $40,000 purse, as well as naming the MVP who pockets an additional $5,000. Sky Ball League has been airing since mid-July and has racked-up over a million weekly viewers.

Previously shot in Los Angeles, the championship play-by-play is announced by Van Earl Wright, former CNN anchor and a past host on FSN Final Score. Brian Dunkleman, one of the original co-hosts of American Idol, hosted the 16 episodes in the Sky Ball League series.

Sky Ball is an extremely competitive and spirited combination of basketball, baseball and volleyball, with a little lacrosse thrown in. The game uses Sky Balls and smash gloves and is played on a court with goals set at each end that consist of three scoring pads raised 12 - 17 feet above the court. Game highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pCD1YXJ9iM .

Brian Kessler, co-creator of The Sky Ball League along with sports executive Danny Swartz, says, "The huge success of our first season exceeded our expectations. We started out small and snowballed to the finals with amazing athletes, great personalities and a tremendous fan base. Next season we will be increasing the number of teams that will play in the league."

"Sky Ball League has just scratched the surface of the sports world," adds Swartz, "as evidenced by the ever-increasing numbers of athletes registering online to compete in our second season."

Slightly larger than a softball and pumped with oxygen and helium, Sky Balls are capable of bouncing up to 75 feet. Besides the requisite physical dexterity, the challenge to players is that they must not only excel in controlling the ball, but the skillful manipulation of a challenging piece of equipment.

Notes Kessler, "Age knows no bounds in this energetic game. Across the entire league, this season's players ranged between 18 and 39, and neither age nor gender has made a bit of difference on how well anyone plays."

Mayan Elders to Refute 2012 ‘End of the World’ Prophecy

Author: Oracle Stone Productions
Dateline: Los Angeles, California (LOS ANGELES, Calif.)  | Fri, 07 Oct 2011

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Oracle Stone Productions announces that on Oct. 26, 2011, Mayan Elder and Priest Hunbatz Men will be in New York City with a team of guardians and their crystal skulls to embark on a journey across the U.S., visiting spiritual locations as they make their way to Los Angeles to join 13 members of the Grand Council of the Maya Itza people at the 11.11.11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Gateway Conference.”

A R T I C L E:

Oracle Stone Productions announces that on Oct. 26, 2011, Mayan Elder and Priest Hunbatz Men will be in New York City with a team of guardians and their crystal skulls to embark on a journey across the U.S., visiting spiritual locations as they make their way to Los Angeles to join 13 members of the Grand Council of the Maya Itza people from Yucatan, Mexico.

This unprecedented gathering at the "11.11.11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Gateway Conference" at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles on November 11, 2011, will bring people from all over the world to hear the Mayan council bring clarification to the "2012 Prophecy," which many believe marks the end of the world. Their mission is to create a momentum of positivity that will inspire humanity across the world to listen and prepare for the 2012 global transformation.

During Hunbatz Men and his team's journey to Los Angeles, they will enter spiritual locations and activate the crystal skulls in his possession. It is believed in the Mayan Itza tradition their ancestors of the past had also stored information and hidden knowledge into the sacred crystal skulls to assist humanity's transition to a new beginning in other cycles of time.

At the 11.11.11 Crystal Skulls Conference in Los Angeles the 13 member Council of Maya Itza Priest and Elders will release the knowledge of their ancestors to create a gateway to human transformation and assist humanity in the transitional times to come culminating on December 21, 2012.

The Mayan people are considered the "Timekeepers of the world." They understood mathematics and the value of zero long before its discovery in the Eastern parts of the world. Over the last few years, the "2012 Prophecy" of civilization coming to an end is the result of the "Mayan World Time" calendar ending on December 21, 2012. Others believe it is simply a "change of enlightenment" in this current time. Mayan Elders explain the prophecy as a transition from "The world of the Fourth Sun" to entering the cycle of "The Fifth Sun" due to begin at sunrise on December 21, 2012.

The Mayan believe the fifth sun will be the start of a new era bringing a cosmic flow of energy to cleanse the earth and all that dwell upon it, raising all to a higher spiritual level.

The "11.11.11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Gateway Conference" in Los Angeles will be a 3-day ceremonial and activation gathering with people from all over the world to experience the rare opportunity to hear the Mayan council further explain the mysteries of crystal skulls and allow attendees to experience these ancient powerful tools for themselves.

For more information on the conference and ticket sales please contact Kendall Ray Morgan at Oracle Stone Productions at (520) 304-2558 or kinsolar8@yahoo.com or visit http://www.crystalskullsevent.com .

William Pope.L Releases Set of Text-Based Art at 20×200.com

Author: 20x200

A R T I C L E:

When William Pope.L donned a business suit and crawled on his belly through the gutter up NYC's Bowery, the "Friendliest Black Artist in America" was poignantly calling attention to themes of race, social class and power. Now, in his debut project with 20x200 - the place to discover and buy art online - the seminal artist once again addresses these issues with a selection from his ongoing and widely exhibited project "Skin Set Drawings."

A suite of three hand-drawn, text-based drawings-which include bits of collage and traces of graph paper-the limited-edition prints challenge self-interest politics in both obvious and subtly humorous ways, with pointed titles like "Blue People Are The Future," "Red People Are From Mars Green People Are From New Jersey" and "White People Are The Future."

The three prints are being sold individually and are available in custom frames. "Blue People Are The Future" is available as a 10"x8" print in an edition of 250 and sells for just $50, "Red People Are From Mars Green People Are From New Jersey" is a 14"x11" print in an edition of 500 for $100. And "White People Are The Future" is a 20"x16" print available for $500 in an edition of 100. Rife with as much complexity as humor, the "Skin Set Drawings" speak to a broader, frailer human question on prejudice and racism, issues that Pope.L has undertaken in much, if not all, of his work as an artist.

Pope.L has been provocatively creating a dialogue surrounding disenfranchisement, power, consumerism and race throughout his conceptual, often performance-based art practice, which has spanned over four decades. He is perhaps best known for a series of more than 40 "crawls" staged since 1978, in which the artist - wearing costumes such as a Superman outfit or the aforementioned business suit -painstakingly crawled his way through city streets across the country, frequently on his belly.

20x200 is proud to collaborate with Pope.L - as well as with other legendary artists like Roger Ballen, Ed Baynard, David Bowie, David Byrne, Paul Fusco, Tierney Gearon, Todd Hido, Paula Scher, Mike + Doug Starn, William Wegman and Lawrence Weiner - to offer exhibition-quality, limited-edition prints at accessible prices.

About the Artist:

Born in Newark, NJ, in 1955, William Pope.L is an American visual artist practicing performance and interventionist public art, and he's also an educator at the University of Chicago's Department of Visual Arts. He was included in the 2002 Whitney Biennial and was made a Guggenheim Fellow in 2004. Pope.L has exhibited internationally, including in New York, Los Angeles, London, Vienna, Brussels, Montreal, Berlin, Zurich and Tokyo. His recent projects have been held at the Carpenter Center for Visual Art at Harvard University, as well as Hauser and Wirth in New York City, where he staged a reinvention of Allan Kaprow's "Yard" that the New York Times called "brilliant ... faithful but new." In the New Museum's 2010-2011 exhibition The Last Newspaper, assistants wearing Barack Obama masks helped Pope.L restage his infamous 2000 performance "Eating the Wall Street Journal." Upcoming works include a solo show at Eastside Projects (Birmingham, U.K.), where he's directing a film called "Child," and he'll be participating in Prospect.2, the biennial in New Orleans.

About 20x200:

With new limited-edition art prints introduced every week, 20x200 is the place to discover and buy art online. The site was launched in 2007 by gallery owner, curator, writer and entrepreneur Jen Bekman with this simple formula: (limited editions x low prices) + the internet = art for everyone. 20x200 features a curated selection of affordable art online, enabling and encouraging a broader audience to buy art, become collectors and support artists. While the site's signature art prints are 8x10s sold for $20 in an edition of 200, larger works are available at prices from $50 and $200 to $10,000. Every print is exhibition quality and is accompanied by an artist-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

20x200 works directly with more than 200 artists - emerging, established and legendary - giving each the incredible opportunity to share their work with the widest range of potential collectors. New artists and limited editions are announced every week. Newsletter subscribers get first access to the often fast-selling new releases and the curator's story behind the work and the artist.
