A R T I C L E:

ADF Solutions announced today that Triage-Examiner(R), a forensic triage tool, was utilized by all five of the East Midlands police forces participating in the highly successful e-Forensics pilot program conducted by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) in the U.K. The aim of the six-month pilot was to speed up the process for all forces by providing one standardized approach to the examination of computers and mobile devices.

The results have shown the five police forces achieving a 90 percent increase in the number of computer devices examined, helping officers bring more offenders to justice more quickly and significantly reducing the computer forensic backlog.

Triage-Examiner is widely deployed in the U.K. by most law enforcement agencies. It is used by field investigators and forensic examiners within high-tech crime units, public protection units, sex offender management units, child abuse units and others. The tool has had a significant impact on reducing digital forensic backlogs and solving child abuse, sex offender and fraud cases.

"By equipping investigators with automated triage tools, agencies can access digital evidence more quickly, reduce forensic backlogs and address the constantly evolving technology landscape," said Harry Parsonage, forensic triage expert at ADF Solutions. "The results of the NPIA e-Forensics pilot reflect the success we have achieved at all our client installations in the U.K. and worldwide."

"ADF is pleased to have made such a positive contribution to this successful NPIA program," said J.J. Wallia, co-founder and CEO of ADF Solutions. "We have consistently outperformed all other forensic triage tools in head-to-head evaluations."

Lightway Solar America Executes 62.8 MW Solar Project Development Pipeline

Author: Lightway Solar America, Inc.
Dateline: Iselin, New Jersey (ISELIN, N.J.)  | Fri, 26 Oct 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Lightway Solar America, Inc. (LSA), the U.S. subsidiary of Lightway Green New Energy Co., Ltd. (LGNE), has announced the execution of 62.8 Megawatts of contracts through their project development subsidiary, Lightway Solar America Project Development, LLC (LWSA PD).”

A R T I C L E:

Lightway Solar America, Inc. (LSA), the U.S. subsidiary of Lightway Green New Energy Co., Ltd. (LGNE), has announced the execution of 62.8 Megawatts of contracts through their project development subsidiary, Lightway Solar America Project Development, LLC (LWSA PD). Lightway has implemented a sales model in which 11.9 MW of solar panels will be invested into these projects in exchange for equity positions with a commitment from their project partners to purchase the remaining 50.9 MW through executed supply agreements.

The project pipeline consists of 11 different solar project development partners with a pipeline of projects ranging from 250 kw to 4.8 MW spread throughout New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Arizona and California. Projects will begin construction immediately with 21 MW scheduled for Q4 2012 and 42 MW to be built throughout 2013.

During an era where the U.S. solar industry is challenged with oversupply, decreasing prices and project financing bottlenecks, Lightway has aggressively implemented sales models that focus on bankability, downstream financial solutions, and strategic distribution channels. In less than 2 years, Lightway's U.S. subsidiary has already executed over 98 MW of supply agreements and is expecting their project development subsidiary to create additional growth opportunities in 2013.

William Sien, President of LWSA PD, said: "The earlier trends of integrating upstream have been successful in under-supplied markets, however, we recognize that in today's market of oversupply and project financing difficulties, moving further downstream into project ownership will be a key factor towards our future growth and sustainability. Although our primary business model and expertise will remain in solar module manufacturing, we foresee project development and ownership of photovoltaic projects as key drivers to supplement our solar module sales throughout the North America region."

Wei Na, Global Sales and Marketing VP of LGNE, parent company of LSA, further commented: "We are excited about the project pipeline, whose strong commercial and residential presence in U.S. provides us with an excellent opportunity as we operate our business in the U.S. We are confident our high-quality solar modules and customer service will contribute to the growth of the solar industry as a whole."

About Lightway Green New Energy Co., Ltd.:

Lightway Green New Energy is world class, vertically integrated solar panel manufacturer with 660 MW of balanced, production capacity that incorporates ingot, wafer, cell and module manufacturing. The manufacturing plant is located in a futuristic Science and Technology Park based in Gaobeidian, China that spans 2.3M square feet and is the home to over 5,000 employees.

With a strong financial portfolio and the support of their strategic partnerships, Lightway will continue to expand and plans to reach 1,500 MW in 2014. One of the strategic markets for Lightway is the development of the U.S. region through their subsidiary, Lightway Solar America with a sales office in New Jersey and warehouses on the east and west coast.

Art for Progress (AFP), a NYC 501(c)3 nonprofit, is proud to announce it is hosting artist Michael Alan's "Living Installation: Family Misfit Healing" on Friday, November 9 at ABC NORIO in NYC's Lower East Side.

The epic art performance piece which has been featured in The Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Gothamist, Hyperallergic and many others, is the creative genius of artist Michael Alan. As described by Alan, "The Living Installation Project is a human activist art mission. The goal is to reinforce that humans are living installations by creating a space for people to open up and come together, and that all are equal through the process of creating art."

After eight years of creating performance art, Michael Alan was recently severely injured and suffered major spinal damage as well as a concussion. His injuries have affected his ability to walk and perform.

Despite his physical challenges, "The Living Installation Project" will return November 9 at ABC NORIO for a special eight-hour healing show.

Family Misfit Healing: No matter how different and odd we might be, we all have the power to heal. Alan, while healing after intense spinal surgery, will team up with seven performers to create a world based on acceptance and growth. A strong and dynamic family portrait will be born, created from scratch. The eight-hour mega show, a true experience/happening, will be an escape where guests can do whatever they choose. The space will start with nothing, where Alan, seated, will build a world around him from start to finish with an eight-person tableau; nude and then dressed with everything under the sun; birthed and animated with pure emotion.

Prerecorded music collaborations with Ariel Pink, Meredith Monk, Geneva Jucuzzi, Japanther, Jello Biafra, The Krays, Japanther, Odd Nosdam, Vas Deferens Organisation, R. Stevie Moore, Walter Steding, Neke Carson, Kenny Scharf, Jeff and Jane Hudson and so many more.

It's a happening. Come have fun, watch, get lost in the creation. Hang out, draw, write, create. Come and go as you want, and be a part of it!

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance http://www.michaelalanart.com/art/upcoming-projects/ or at the door.

About Michael Alan:

For Michael Alan, art is a combination of harmonious opposites, close observation, catharsis, a means of communication and a radical juxtaposition of dimensional elements. He challenges everything: concepts of figure, composition, media and movement, including his own. Exploring the ambiguity of time and history, Alan's work focuses on crossbreeding and the relationship of destruction and creation.

Alan was born in the summer of 1977, during the New York City blackout. His work has been featured in five New York solo shows and over 200 group shows. His work has been discussed in over 200 publications, books and media sources, including the New York Times, NBC's Today Show, Marie Claire Italia, Art+Auction, the New York Post, Fox Channel 5, the Village Voice's "Best in Show," Time Out New York, Hyperallergic, Curbs and Stoops, and Cacao Magazine.

Comments:

"Alan's work and style of organizing his installations and exhibits is unarguably infused with his years of work as an outsider-artist, his passion for expression, his years of promoting music, and his love of collaboration." - Huffington Post.

"The Living Installation brings everyone from artists sketching to club kids to the wealthiest gallery owner to a kid from the projects. Much like Keith Haring drawing with chalk on the subway posters, Michael Alan's Living Installation is all about accessibility of art." - Crudo Magazine.

"I am Michael Alien, an alien who wants good and to exist with a twist of chaos and a big splash of toxic paint!" - Art Info.

Bolt Fitness Gets Patent for Newly-Inspired Fitness Product

Author: Bolt Fitness
Dateline: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PHILADEPLPHIA, Pa.)  | Thu, 25 Oct 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Bolt Fitness announced this week that it was granted a patent (U.S. Patent D666,255) for a new, innovative fitness product - the Bolt Wheel - which brings the gym to the home. A R T I C L E:

Bolt Fitness announced this week that it was granted a patent (U.S. Patent D666,255) for a new, innovative fitness product - the Bolt Wheel - which brings the gym to the home. Lina Babchinetskaya and Roman Birman are the designers of the Bolt Wheel and the co-founders of Bolt Fitness.

Babchinetskaya explains that the Bolt Wheel is unlike similar products on the market today and was conceptualized because of a real fitness niche that needed to be filled.

Birman, a former personal trainer, found that many clients complained of constant lower back pain. And, Bachinetskaya, having a B.S. in Kinesiology, had conducted numerous studies on fitness equipment and exercise development. The combined skills of this fitness duo naturally led to the creation of the Bolt Wheel - designed to eliminate lower back discomfort while providing measurable results.

"The Bolt Wheel helps people build muscle, lose weight and tone the body," Babchinetskaya says. "It works several muscle groups at one time. While similar to an ab wheel, it's more like a complete body wheel - it takes fitness to a whole new level."

Additionally, similar fitness products do not properly align the body - the Bolt Wheel does. This feature makes it easy for people to exercise safely and eliminates any worry about whether they are doing the moves correctly or not.

"This is a very important feature," Babchinetskaya says. "If the body is not properly aligned, the targeted muscle groups will not get an effective workout and people may even do more damage to their body than good. And, positive results may be non-existent."

The Bolt Wheel is designed for all fitness levels - the newbie to the exercise junkie. Products such as the ab wheel are typically used only by people who have had prior conditioning or a higher physical fitness level.

Additionally, the Bolt Wheel removes any unnecessary stress, pressure and tension on the lower back allowing the user to exercise for longer periods of time. It allows the user to tone their arms, chest, upper back, shoulders, and abs and most importantly - strengthens the core.

"A strong core equals a better overall physical fitness level," Babchinetskaya says.

The bottom line is that the Bolt Wheel is easy and safe to use and can be used at home saving people a trip to the gym.

"Our mission is to revolutionize at-home fitness by bringing new, versatile equipment to the market," Babchinetskaya says.

All products are tested by Bolt Fitness staff. The Bolt Wheel comes in a carrying bag with an electronic jump rope and a mat.
