A R T I C L E:

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin presented the Governor's Commendation for International Market Entry to Backbone Security along with representatives of 49 other West Virginia businesses assembled at the State Capitol yesterday. The award honors companies that have successfully exported to a new country during calendar year 2011.

Gov. Tomblin joined the West Virginia Export Council and the West Virginia Development Office on June 28 to commend the West Virginia companies.

"Our export performance continues to be a source of pride for our state and strength in our economy," said Gov. Tomblin. "International trade and investment create and retain jobs in West Virginia. In 2011, West Virginia exports increased 39.5 percent, the highest export growth rate of any state in the nation. I thank our exporting companies for their efforts and congratulate them on their success."

"Since 2006 we have exported our software to 33 countries around the world. Export sales have been a major part of our revenues and we expect continued growth in export revenue as we go forward."

Author: Workforce Investment Board of San Bernardino County
Dateline: San Bernardino, California (SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.)  | Thu, 28 Jun 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “California's San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board partnered with the Department of Behavioral Health to place 279 youth in summer jobs with local employers. The grant paid the wages to County youth ages 18-25 years old and provided transportation assistance as well as work readiness training prior to starting their jobs.”

A R T I C L E:

California's San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board partnered with the Department of Behavioral Health to place 279 youth in summer jobs with local employers. The grant paid the wages to County youth ages 18-25 years old and provided transportation assistance as well as work readiness training prior to starting their jobs.

"This grant is affording these young people valuable hands-on work experience that will help them in their future endeavors," said Josie Gonzales, San Bernardino County Chair and Fifth District Supervisor. "This is a great shot in the arm for both our employers and our youth."

Hana Song, President of Le Tip in San Bernardino and Owner of Digital Color World, hired an intern to assist the board members of Le Tip. She has mentored three youth through Operation New Hope, a youth service provider with the Workforce Investment Board.

"All of the members feel that our intern, Ty Crawford is such a great blessing," she said. "He has been instrumental in helping plan a mixer this summer. He took the initiative to work with The Yard House to host our event, which is unheard of."

She hopes that when the summer program ends, they will be able to keep Crawford a bit longer.

"Not many people understand how the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board's youth program and Operation New Hope help youth and the business community," she said. "Ty has gained such confidence, which is needed in a tough economy. Business owners and organizations need talented, young workers to assist in their operations."

"The employers who have participated in this program have not only received great benefits, but they have also made a significant investment in our future workforce," said Sandy Harmsen, executive director of the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board. "By training and mentoring our youth, they are helping to create the next generation of employees, community leaders and entrepreneurs of our County."

The project will conclude on June 30, 2012 but employers who are interested in partnering with the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board to offer future work experience may contact Emily Petrus at epetrus@wdd.sbcounty.gov.

A R T I C L E:

In the early-to-mid 1990s, Jacobson was a pioneering "MortgagePower" Wholesale Account Executive with Citibank before becoming the Wholesale Regional Marketing Manager for Western Federal Savings & Loan/Pamona First Federal, where she grew loyalty and loan volume from a large relationship base of mortgage banker and broker clients by focusing on education and training of underwriting standards.

From 1985 to 1989, Jacobson served in a series of roles with COMPUFUND, where she was National Director, Mortgage Centers; Director of Financial Institution "Affiliates"; Wholesale Production Manager; and Regional Loan Manager.

Titan Lenders Corp. Among ‘2012 Top 50 Service Providers,’ as Recognized by Mortgage Technology Magazine

Author: Titan Lenders Corp
Dateline: Denver, Colorado (DENVER, Colo.)  | Wed, 27 Jun 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Mortgage fulfillment outsource services expert Titan Lenders Corp. has been named a '2012 Top 50 Service Provider' for the second consecutive year by SourceMedia's Mortgage Technology magazine.”

A R T I C L E:

Mortgage fulfillment outsource services expert Titan Lenders Corp. has been named a "2012 Top 50 Service Provider" for the second consecutive year by SourceMedia's Mortgage Technology magazine.

According to the magazine's June issue, the Top 50 Service Providers list recognizes "the technology and service vendors that excel in four categories -- continued advancement of technology and services, viable revenue model and value proposition to customers, exceptional customer service and unique impact on the mortgage industry."

Particular emphasis was placed on Titan's accomplishments over the period between May 2011 and April 2012. Specifically, Titan was recognized for its addition of several new offerings, including:

* MERS(R) Quality Assurance procedures data reconciliation and auditing services for MERSCORP(R) servicer and sub-servicer members;
* Processing, underwriting and escrow services for originators; and
* The expansion of its Whole Loan Purchase Review program to include mortgage investors.

"While the mortgage industry isn't totally out of the woods yet, we've seen tremendous strides made to improve technology over the past year or so, and much of the change that has happened was driven by companies like Titan that have consistently championed standardization and transparency, " said Titan president Mary Kladde. "The competition for the Top 50 Service Providers gets stiffer every year, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have been recognized by Mortgage Technology magazine for our efforts."

About Titan Lenders Corp.:

Titan Lenders Corp. (www.TitanLendersCorp.com) is one of a specialized few providers of mortgage back office fulfillment services, a not-well-understood facet of mortgage lending that includes closing, funding and post closing services. Community banks, credit unions, mortgage bankers and brokers, and warehouse line lenders use outsource providers strategically to minimize compliance risks in a time-sensitive error-averse environment. Fluctuations in mortgage lending volume also lead some mortgage lenders to outsource their entire back office operation and secure predictable "per transaction" pricing rather than maintaining an inflexible static in house staff.

Titan Lenders Corp.'s patented, proprietary web-based software Cerberyx (CBX) supports a full suite of fulfillment services, including: funding, compliance, closing, post-closing, purchase review for correspondents and warehouse lenders, trailing documents, MERS management, FHA insuring, and document management (imaging). CBX's flexible rules-based architecture allows Titan clients to define field level decision trees, priorities, checklists and process management specific to an investor product variance or a cross-investor climate.

International Document Services, Inc. (IDS), a mortgage document preparation vendor, has been listed among the 2012 Top 50 Service Providers, issued by SourceMedia's Mortgage Technology magazine. This marks the second year in a row IDS has been honored with this distinction.

According to the magazine's June issue, the Top 50 Service Providers list recognizes "the technology and service vendors that excel in four categories - continued advancement of technology and services, viable revenue model and value proposition to customers, exceptional customer service and unique impact on the mortgage industry."

Placing particular emphasis on IDS's accomplishments over the period between May 2011 and April 2012, the magazine noted the follow as the primary reasons for IDS's selection:

* Enhancements to idsDoc's e-sign capabilities that allow borrowers to select loan options and type selected information directly into specific areas of the loan documents; and

* IDS's deployment of Assistly's SaaS-based social media customer service platform.

"The caliber of companies named to Mortgage Technology's Top 50 Service Providers is always high," said IDS Executive Vice President Mark Mackey. Calculator-Advisor Combo Reveals Cost of Long-Term Care and Insurance in Any Location

Author: LTC Financial Partners, LLC
Dateline: Kirkland, Washington (KIRKLAND, Wash.)  | Wed, 27 Jun 2012

freeNewsArticles Story Summary: “Today LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) announces a free service to help consumers learn about the financial risk of needing long-term care someday, and how to manage the risk. The service blends the best of technology with the best of humanity: real, live advisors on the phone.”

A R T I C L E:

Today LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) announces a free service to help consumers learn about the financial risk of needing long-term care someday, and how to manage the risk. The service blends the best of technology with the best of humanity: real, live advisors on the phone. It's a simple two-step process:

STEP 1: The consumer goes online to use a Cost-for-Care calculator that displays the going rate for care in their state or metropolitan area. The calculator shows costs per day, month, or year for care in a nursing home, assisted living facility, adult day care center, or one's own home with a health aide.

STEP 2: The consumer then places a call to a local advisor to learn their options for managing the costs through LTC insurance.

"Step 1 is likely to blow people's minds," says Denise Gott, National Sales Manager and Chairman of the Board of LTCFP. "Most people have no idea how expensive care can be. It's through the roof now and likely to be in the stratosphere years from now when they need it."

Step 2 may be an eye-opener too, but in the opposite direction, according to Gott. "Most people have no idea how affordable LTC insurance premiums can be, especially if they shop around and sign up early." When consumers call one of the participating advisors, listed below, they first answer questions about their age, health, state of residence, financial situation, and care benefits they want. The advisor, who is a licensed agent specializing in this coverage, then responds by supplying costs for policies from competing carriers. "Rates can vary widely depending on the carrier and other factors," says Gott.

The calculator, supplied by one of the carriers LTCFP represents, is available at http://www.johnhancockltc.com/individual/cost-of-long-term-care-calculator/ .
