Tommy Wiseau’s ‘The Room’ Named Worst Film Ever by FilmSnobbery Survey of Cinema Experts

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With Thanksgiving on the near horizon, FilmSnobbery decided to serve up another type of turkey: in this case, the cinematic variety, with a seasonal celebration of the worst films of all time. And in a survey of approximately 100 filmmakers, critics, historians and performers, the choice for the worst film of all time went to Tommy Wiseau's utterly astonishing 2003 production "The Room."

"In the history of motion pictures, there is nothing like Tommy Wiseau's anti-classic," declared Phil Hall, managing editor at FilmSnobbery.com and author of the books "The Greatest Bad Movies of All Time" and "In Search in Lost Films."

"From the visceral ineptitude of the acting to the utter incoherence of the screenplay to a lethal assault of bizarre imagery to Wiseau's brilliantly ridiculous on-screen persona, 'The Room' takes the cake and the whole bakery, too! It doesn't get better - or badder - than this!"

For the Top 10 Worst Films of All Time, the FilmSnobbery survey came up with these delicious big screen turkeys:

1. "The Room" (2003)
2. "Battlefield Earth" (2000)
3. "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" (2010)
4. "Swept Away" (2002 - the Madonna remake)
5. "Manos: The Hands of Fate" (1966)
6. "Troll 2" (1990)
7. "Howard the Duck" (1986)
8. "Catwoman" (2004)
9. "Plan 9 from Outer Space" (1959)
10. "Sausage Party" (2016).

Donald Eugene Lowe Says He Could Still Stop President-Elect Trump Based on Election Law Loopholes

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- No matter party affiliation, everyone can agree that this year's elections were heart-pumping. And for Donald Eugene Lowe, it might have even been a bit more so. Why? To date, he says that he is the first person in history to become a President-Elect Alternate. It's the law - a combination of many, in fact.

"I know many will be confused by this, but it's true. It's still possible to stop President-Elect Trump from taking office," Lowe says. "We both share the Republican presidential electors and this means that the Electoral College could still pick me."

He says it's possible due to a series of legal loopholes.

"When the other candidates withdrew, I announced I was running under the Republican Party. Next, I announced that I was challenging President-Elect Donald Trump and then I said I was skipping the general election and pushing onwards to the Electoral College," he explains.

Lowe says that since the Republican Party never let him have his brokered convention with Donald Trump, they inadvertently made the loopholes within the laws come true for the first time in history. As a result, he says that he is now in the Electoral College as President-Elect Alternate.

"I know almost everyone will be confused because I am doing something that's never been done before, but it could work," he says.

If the Electoral College picked Lowe instead this could cause no one to have 270 electors and would force the constitution to work. Lowe would be the first person to become president using the laws to make it happen instead of traditional process.

"If I become president it's because of the laws of the states and the constitution," he says.

Attorney David L. Goldman Warns Consumers of Costly Unforeseen Coverage Gaps

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Personal Injury and Civil Trial Lawyer David L. Goldman of the Sarasota Florida Based Firm Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh, cites an article in the NY Times warning consumers of large coverage gaps even in premium insurance plans.

Goldman, an experienced injury attorney stated, "The issue of whether one's medical bills were paid by their insurance company comes up more often than I can count. In more than a quarter century of practicing personal injury law in the State of Florida, I have seen people who have excellent insurance mistakenly believe that their insurance company has paid their bill in full. Even people who have 'full coverage' with excellent insurance policies do not realize that their insurance companies leave them with outstanding balances that are well in excess of their deductible or co-pay amounts.

"For instance in auto accident cases, the no-fault insurance company will often pay only 80 percent of their bills up to $10,000, leaving a balance of 20 percent plus any amount of their bills above $10,000. Often times health insurance companies, will not cover a particular doctor or treatment, or will deny payment due to alleged errors in how the medical provider submitted their bill, leaving the poor insured owing the money. Often times, the attorney can resolve these issues, but too often they cannot."

Mr. Goldman continued to point out the potential for costly coverage short-falls by stating, "This article discusses how insurance companies will pay a hospital bill but may not pay the other bills associated with a hospital visit, which can include the emergency room doctors' bill, the radiology bill, and the ambulance bill. Sometimes these other providers do not even bother to submit their bill to your insurance company and simply send the patient the bill.

"This article discusses one such instance that occurred right here in Florida. So it is best to make sure to realize that there may be many other bills associated with a hospital visit other than the hospital bill and to realize that even the best insurance companies often leave patients owing a lot more than just their deductible and co-pay."

About Attorney David L. Goldman:

Mr. Goldman is a member of the American Association of Justice, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Goldman is an Eagle Member of the Florida Justice Association and The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and received the prestigious Legislative Leadership Award by that organization in 1997.

David Goldman has a long-standing commitment to the community and has served as a board member of many civic organizations. He has worked extensively with the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce, the Sarasota African-American Chamber of Commerce, Second Chance Last Opportunity and the Westcoast Center for Human Development. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Community Center and has been a director and member of the Endowment Fund of his local synagogue.

Ruling Affirms Patent Claim for Paragon BioTeck’s R-Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Formulation

PORTLAND, Ore., -- Paragon BioTeck, Inc. (Paragon), announces a monumental ruling handed down by the United States Patent and Trademark Office affirming claims made by Paragon in the patent for its R-phenylephrine hydrochloride formulation. Paragon is a privately held pharmaceutical and medical device company specializing in the development and commercialization of ophthalmic pharmaceuticals, devices and therapies.

In late 2015, Altaire Pharmaceuticals, Inc., sought to invalidate Paragon's patent that claims a method of maintaining purity of the formulation. In only the fourth written decision by the Patent Trial and Appeals Board, the ruling affirms that the petition by Altaire Pharmaceuticals was without merit.

"While our belief in the strength of our patent was never in doubt, this is a tremendous win for Paragon BioTeck. This continues to reaffirm our belief and company mission behind the science and products we develop," said Patrick Witham, President & CEO.

Paragon is strongly dedicated to addressing unmet and underserved medical needs through product development that is based on cutting-edge science. Since its inception, Paragon has sought to partner with leading scientists and thinkers to drive innovations that advance patient care and improve the quality of lives around the world.

The patent ruling both reinforces the strong science underlying the formulation of Paragon's Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution and substantiates the operational philosophy of the company.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride is widely used by eye care professionals to attain mydriasis (dilation of the pupil) for conducting an ocular examination. It is an indispensable tool for the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of serious eye diseases and is vital in managing ocular health.

About Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution:

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP 2.5% and 10%, is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist used for dilation of the pupil due to its vasoconstrictor and mydriatic action. Phenylephrine possesses predominantly adrenergic effects. In the eye, phenylephrine acts locally as a potent vasoconstrictor and mydriatic by constricting ophthalmic blood vessels and the radial muscle of the iris.

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution Important Safety Information:

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP 10%, is contraindicated in patients with hypertension or thyrotoxicosis, as well as in pediatric patients under the age of one due to the increased risk of systemic toxicity. Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP 2.5%, should not be used in these patients. Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution, USP 10% and 2.5% is for topical ophthalmic use only, and not for injection.

Caution is advised in pediatric patients less than five years of age and in patients with elevated blood pressure, cardiovascular disease or hyperthyroidism. Blood pressure should be monitored in patients with cardiovascular or endocrine disease. Rebound miosis has been reported one day after instillation.
