Two dollars ($2) from every registration fee will go to the American Heart Association to help eradicate heart disease. All funds raised for the AHA will benefit heart disease and stroke research and prevention education.

The 5K run, set at Woods of Terror will feature zombie runners including real zombies from the Woods of Terror and survivor runners. Runners and adventure racers can expect to step into zombie infested mud encountering intense boggy grounds and punishing obstacles all while navigating a 5K course. Runners can either run with or outrun zombies in a capture the flag style game knowing that a portion of their registration goes to a good cause. Participants should expect to get their heart racing and blood screaming.

"We are in the business of making hearts shudder, what better way to give back than to the American Heart Association," says owner Eddie McLaurin. "Many will register for the fun of it, but we want to let people know this is also to benefit a great cause."

Since the foundation of Arizona's wine industry, the Harvesting of the Vine Fine Wine Festival presented by The Village of Elgin has awarded scholarships and helped to fund local law enforcement programs such as DARE. iTunes Discovers Christopher Columbus as Children’s Songs by Ruth Roberts Appear in Digital Format

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept. 4, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — On the second Monday of October, many states celebrate Columbus Day to commemorate the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas on October 12, 1492. The event is also celebrated in 16 children’s songs on “Columbus Day Songs That Tickle Your Funny Bone” by Ruth Roberts. The songs have been newly digitized and made available on iTunes.

Heart Imaging Technologies (HeartIT), the global leader that pioneered the first FDA approved zero-footprint medical imaging workstation, announced today that it has received a $2.5M grant from the National Institutes of Health in order to develop the "Cloud Based Corelab of the Future."

Medical drugs and devices are regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) based on data from multicenter clinical trials. Over the past decade the efficiency of clinical trials has been improved by electronic data capture (EDC) systems, whose use has increased from 38 percent to 61 percent from 2006 to 2011.

While medical imaging plays a key role in clinical trials, often serving as the basis for study end-points and/or safety evaluations, few if any EDC systems integrate imaging corelab workflows such as image quality assurance, site queries, and reporting of end-point analyses.

The overall goal of the NIH grant is to create a "cloud-based imaging corelab of the future" that provides support for all imaging corelab activities and integration into EDCs.

This forward-looking Fall 2013 Remodeling Sentiment Report, based on data from Planese's survey of 2,000 homeowners, analyzes and documents trends in the home improvement industry.

Kansas City homeowners surveyed have significantly more equity in their homes than the national average; the ratio of equity to home value is 52 percent in Kansas City as compared to the national average of 39 percent.
